I like this question.
All the last blast teens were SORAS'd. I know Philip was one of the fastest SORASes in history. Born in 1995, a teen in 1999. But I'm guessing the show waits until they have a number of next-generation kids so they can be the same age and interact.

Philip's was definitely the fastest and craziest! He was actually born in 1995 and then SORASed in 1999. I didn't really find it that disruptive, partly because we rarely saw him as a child and partly because his parents were older, so it didn't feel strange for Kate and Victor to have a high-schooler when they did. Plus references to his conception and birth don't really mess up the timelines of anything else.
EJ Wells turning out to be Elvis, Jr., was also an extreme SORAS that bugs me, especially once Kristen returned. There's no way that Eileen Davidson or Stacy Haiduk could be James Scott or Dan Feuerreigel's mother! And while Kristen isn't actually his mother, she was able to pose as his mother, and the baby she and John lost would be EJ's same age. Plus Sami was already a married mother when the story of EJ's birth was playing out!

Ciara's SORASing was crazy too. She was still a child for literally the first half of 2015. Then they didn't show her for a few months, and by late 2015, she was a teenager who would be graduating from high school soon. If you're going to rapidly age a child character, at least keep them off the show for a year or two before you do it instead of making it happen within a month or so. That was the other thing that was awkward about them aging Ciara. She was one of the children we saw pretty often, so it was very obvious that years of her life were skipped when she was SORASed. With characters like Allie and Johnny, it is easier to believe that they have aged at a natural pace because we didn't see them for several years.

She really wasn't aged too quickly in terms of time -- born in 2006, made a teenager in 2015, but Lauren Boles made a bigger impact as child Ciara than most of the child performers do, and they were using her almost right up until Vivian Jovanni took over the role. Ciara and Chase should've been offscreen that entire summer and fall until the SORASed versions showed up so it wouldn't be so jarring.

Off topic: I'm just wondering who is taking care of Sydney!

And how old is Sydney?! I guess if Johnny and Allie are post-college, she might be university-aged and off at school somewhere.

I wonder about Sydney too. I'll be interested to see what happens when and if she finally shows up in Salem as a teenager. There is definitely potential for a story there since she thought of Nicole as her mother for a while. It would be interesting to see if that bond has continued off screen through video chats and the like. And if it has, would there be competition between Sami and Nicole for Sydney's affection if they were all present in Salem at the same time?

This right here is why I’m hoping her absence remains a while longer I’m not interested in ally 2.0 It was awful to watch the first time around I don’t feel like a sequel tbh Nicole kidnapped Sydney so any of Sami’s kids looking to her as anything but a kidnapper just isn’t believable for me
