Well, the Last Blast Reunion has come to an end. And, to be honest, it felt a bit rushed. I still liked it, but it felt rushed. The situation with Jan got wrapped up really quickly, which is okay. For being promoted as part of the main cast, Jason didn’t get much screen time (I think he maybe got two lines in the eight episodes). In a 13 minute episode, two montages, each of at least 3 minutes in length feels a bit excessive, but that’s just my opinion. I just felt like we could have trimmed down both of the two montages a bit and had more interaction with the present day cast. Okay, now that I’ve got all that off my chest, let’s talk about the positives, of which there are many.
We finally get to see Jason Welles/Masters again! (I wrote his name like that because at one point, his name was changed for Welles to Masters. It has apparently changed back.) He clearly hasn’t changed that much. Although I would have liked to see a bit more of a send off for her, it’s always great to see Jan, and I’m glad her reign of terror was put to a swift end by Jason and Philip. Shawn and Belle getting kinky was not something I expected, but okay. At least they’re together, as it should be. The reunion ended on a high note, which I am so thankful for. Like Kevin said, they couldn’t end it on a down note. I really hope that we get to see some, if not all, of these characters again. It was so great to see them all and relive the Last Blast days! The montage at the end showing the various loves and friendships and dances from this group was so great! It reminded me of one of the reasons I started watching Days.
In all, this series was a mixed bag. It wasn’t quite what I expected, but maybe that’s a good thing. I like the show when it becomes unpredictable, and having this series be a spiritual successor to one of my favorite storylines was fantastic! If anything, I hope this generates interest in these characters and their histories. If and when we do see any of them again, I’m sure it will be fantastic!

Yeah I pretty much agree with this take. I felt like there was a lot of wasted potential. The montages were enjoyable but a little too long even though tween me was thrilled by the Phloe ones. I do think the whole it was a dream thing went on a little too long. I would have liked more of a focus on the crew and some of the potential underlined drama there. But it was fun and I enjoyed the ending even though I 100% agree that it was rushed.
And apparently I'm still a complete sucker because I couldn't help but feel happy that they gave us Phloe fans a bone with the potential that that maybe something could happen between Philip and Chloe.
Oh no it was still good could have been better. I am holding out hope that maybe this was successful enough for season 2 and that season 2 focuses more on the couple's and the last blast crew or that the writers see that people really want this cast back and they are transferred onto the main show.

It was good seeing everyone again, especially Chloe, but as a Broe fan, the ending was pretty lousy. Maybe if they have any more, they can have Farah as Mimi.

I enjoyed seeing most of the Last Blast gang, especially Chloe and Philip and I'm sad that we won't get to see them anymore. I sure hope that the positive response to this web series encourages the people in charge at Days to bring them on the show or at least do another series.
This series went differently than I'd hoped but I was still happy to see Philip and Chloe. I just wish there would have been more romance - especially after all this wait.
One thing about this last episode I really didn't like was the Shawn and Belle scene where they apparently had sex while he was still tied up from the kidnapping. I get that being tied up is supposed to be kinky or exciting but I don't think I'd be up for that if I was in the room where I'd recently been help captive and pretty much expected to be raped. Not sexy.
Overall, I enjoyed the series.

I almost forgot, when Chloe had the knife & went towards Jan & Jan laughed about getting blood on her dress, I remembered that it was Chloe that stabbed El Fideo in the back & killed him. Guess Jan didn't know about that & the writers forgot..

Their is talk on twitter that there could be a chapter 2, although their is no official word yet. I am definitely feeling the last blast reunion over the show right now. I loved the fact that jan was already out of her coma, writing a book on how she wanted her other classmates to end up, and to channel her anger at not being invited, that sure was a great twist😍. I loved when philip took the iniatiative to corner jan at the door and when shawn thanked him for saving belle and he replied that's what friends are for, I also loved when mimi stood up for chloe against jan😍. I agree this very last episode felt rushed. I would have liked jan to have shown that she felt left out and got jealous seeing them have a good time together, and not even wondering about her, that would have shown that even she is vulnerable. I liked that phloe made a date and shelle seems to be more solid than ever. I've noticed that they sure have put a lot of effort in some chapters with phloe having a lot of flashbacks esp this episode and the symbolic reference of chloe mentioning she wants to wear all black for their date. If their is a chapter 2, I wonder if all of this is set up to lead somewhere purposefully romantic, I do hope tbpt takes note of the great feedback on twitter and have shelle/phloe return.

I mostly agree with everything all of you said. It was great seeing everyone. Okay, who am I kidding? It was great seeing Jay, who essentially originated and defined Philip Kiriakis. We’ve already seen Belle, Shawn and Chloe on and off throughout the years, so that was less exciting. It was fun seeing Susan too. Everyone else was played by a new actor so there was no nostalgia. I never liked the second Heather as Jan and I could have done without Jan’s murderous fantasy taking up three-quarters of the all-too-short series.
Even I think there were way too many flashbacks. They filled half the show with flashbacks. It was a nice homage to a great era, but after a while, it came across as laziness on the writers’ part. It let them avoid writing new material. I would have rather the show go a little deeper in the characters current state. Plus, they showed the same Phloe flashbacks multiple times. I get that this was about their high school days, but they had an adult relationship too.
I totally agree with wendylou about the kinky Shelle scene. How would it possibly be a turn on to remain tied up after your own life and your wife’s and friends’ lives were in jeopardy, and you’re laying there in a cold, deserted warehouse basement on a filthy old mattress. Blech.
And if I’m to be honest, I have to admit that Jay’s acting was a little off. I always thought he was one of the best, most believable actors on Days. In Reunion, he seemed a little rusty. But I sure hope he has the chance to shake the rust off and we get to see lots more of him on the main stage!
Despite all the negatives, I’m thrilled the writers had the idea to revisit a very popular era in Days history as a standalone series.

Just saw it and it was a great ending. I was NEVER here for Jan and her murderous dream sequence I really hated Jan’s character especially after the recast it was so wacky. Phloe were so cute and the flashbacks were everything they really should’ve explored them further but hopefully they’ll return to Days soon! Shells were so cute too so glad Shawn and Philip are cool again. It ended too quickly though I want MORE!

I was happy with the ending overall. I'd have preferred 3 or 4 minutes of actual scenes rather than all of the bloopers.
