I understand that the show is going on hiatus because of the fact they are done taping what they
taped in March, so the production schedule ends this month, thus explaining this hiatus that takes
place the end of this month, I get that, but Michael Hagawara who plays Mr. Chin, the one who
heads Titan Enterprises shows up in April of 2020, Hagawara taped his scenes in September of 2019, 
long before the news of the year leap, & the upcoming hiatus, so explain this ?

that it's one of the reasons as to why they are having the hiatus, but what I'm getting at
is why have Hagawara tape his scenes long before the year leap was put into production,
much less the hiatus, for that matter ? Look where the show is now because of this year
leap, meaning, ratings wise, so you tell me as to why the year leap had to happen ?

Especially when it gets rid of a lot of actors that are major major fan favorites. If it's
about cast costs, fine, but what I'm getting at is why couldn't they explain to their actors
why they need to cut their salaries in half & see if they willing to stay with it & if
they are, was there a need for the year leap ?

The time leap only happened this week. Any effect on ratings won't be known for two weeks.

As we've seen already, some of the taping is for the new year, a.k.a. current, stories. We will also be seeing "flashbacks" of new stuff for things that happened during the missed year. Any spoilers right now could be about either, they don't specify which. So maybe the scenes that Hagawara filmed in September are going to be flashbacks or they will be current or they could be both!

The leap and hiatus are not about getting rid of actors/characters. That happens all of the time and for a variety of reasons, regardless of how popular they are.

But without Marlena, do you really think that any one & I mean anyone would want to watch
this show without her ? Do you really think that any one & I mean any one would want to
watch Hattie or this show without Adrienne. Then there's this, doesn't it seem highly
odd that no one & I mean no one knows as to what Gabi did what she did with that app &
Julie's heart. The Lani that I know of, with how Stowers shines in the roll, can you really
see her Lani letting Gabi getting away with it, yet again ?

Julie is Eli's grandmother, you going to tell me that no one & no one is going to let him
know what Gabi did to his grandmother ?

Eli was once with Gabi, & he finally got rid of her, & he had found the love of his
life, his Sonny had found her Will, even with Will in prison, Sonny still misses him &
loves him, doesn't he ? So why is there a need to watch Tim Burton's Addams Family &
Bryan Singer's Munsters ?

Think about it, with Paige's death, did JJ revert back to drugs, did he go back to
drugs because of what happened to his mother, so why revert back to it over Hayley's
death ?

It's not worth watching anymore, there's way too much gloom & doom & misery.

Yes, granted Kristen had turned over a new leaf, but still what she had done
over the years, GOD would have smote Kristen if she even put one toe in a church,
so I kind of doubt that he would have allowed her to be a nun, right ?

First of all Adrienne had hardly been on the show even previous to the leap. All your questions still need answers. You can't expect the show to give you all the answers right away. It is to keep you watching & wondering. I don't think Lani & Kristen are actually nuns, but 2 women giving into the church to help their lives. Maybe giving up on what they had & do not want to continue. We don't still know exactly what happened with Kristen & why she killed Haley. We have to keep watching to get these answers. I for one will continue as I have been watching for over 45 years.

Oh & who said Marlena isn't on the show anymore?

I haven’t heard anything about Marlena not being on but to answer your question I would still watch without her
I’ve watched for many years and IMO she’s not that significant regardless of how the actress thinks she is
I always found her character arrogant and really obnoxious as well as a clownish therapist who sucks at her job so I wouldn’t care if she stayed or left
