OMG it's so amazing to actually SEE that gorgeous face. I agree it looks like a headshot and is a serious pose. If he's back in the game, I hope and pray he finds a great job (preferably playing Philip Kiriakis) that leads him to fortune and fame or whatever gives him the most fulfillment.

According to a podcast I heard which was an interview with one of the soap opera insiders (sorry, can't remember his name) Jay was asked back, fluffysmom, and he declined. Maybe he was holding out for more money (or a better barber) and with some of the departures, they can now find the money. I'm just fantasizing about that, but I can't let the fantasy die. |

I would love to know why he declined, if he just doesn't want to do soaps anymore, if he's tired of the character, felt he got screwed over by the show before or just wasn't ready. I can't let go of the hope that he'll still come back some day either. I guess I'm hoping that he had a problem with the previous writers or treatment of his character but that maybe if he saw that the show had changed (I do think it has improved) that he might have a change of heart. Or even better, he just couldn't return at the time but now he could. Ah, some dreams never die.  |

With Brandon and Nadia coming back and Martha already there, Jay's return as Philip would be perfect. All four of them together again. John Paul needs to be released. He just isn't cutting it as Philip. There is no personality to the character. Philip had charm and charisma to his darker side; John Paul just gives us a one dimensional, flat Philip. |
