I find it very distressing the way Nicole is being written lately. She is smart and savvy and above all, she protects herself. So now suddenly after being in love with Brady for years, she is in love with EJ? And she is dismissing her instincts about something going on between EJ and Taylor?
And then there is EJ who has terrorized Sami for years in the name of love. And now he is thunderstruck by love for someone who is essentially a stranger to him?
This is just not adding up on my calculator. What about yours?

I think with the EJ part, maybe they are trying to make him more likeable? It won't work for me because it seems to fake/forced. Maybe if he had met her and there was no "instant love" instead in time by living there and constantly being near each other, a relationship might bloom?.. But not this way... FAKE!!
Now as for Nicole, it's so hard to believe it's all about the kids. Nicole has been a golddigger in the past... It's the whole family thing and the money/power doesn't hurt... She will eventually run to Brady, but will he accept her?

I believe it is Nicole2 and somewhere the real Nicole is being help captive....hey, what a great idea for a story...maybe I should write Days and tell them my idea...!!
And have you seen today's show (Thursday).?? She's drinking a beer with Rafe2 and laughing at his stupid ignorant stories ... and not objecting in the least to Rafe2's over the top lewd and lavicious looks he's giving her..... Guess it just goes to show, even the DiMera fortune can't buy class......

OMG I hope Brady would boot her to the curb! I like Brady he needs a woman that loves him, not just when it’s convenient for her!
Ej and Nicole really, really deserve to be together they are two peas in a pod! I think she still is a gold-digger she wants to be the lady (using word loosely) of the manor, with a bonus Sydney! When she stole Sydney it wasn’t because of love for a child it was to keep Ej and her life-style! I will say I think she loves Sydney by Nicole standards, Ej or Nicole aren’t capable of loving someone with all their heart and soul! They both are self-centered and too selfish to think of other people, it’s all about me!

She does seem out of character, but to be honest, what character HAS been written in character? They're all doing stuff that doesn't fit. In that context, I just roll my eyes and say whatever.

I am pulling my hair out over Nicole being written so out of character. I can buy her transition from Brady to EJ in terms of her thinking she's going to get the "whole package" of money/power, man, and kids. That was something Brady couldn't commit to and he had told her that. It's a bit naive...okay, a lot naive...but I see where her thoughts lie on it. It's the lack of instinct (or lack of following her instinct) with EJ/Taylor that bugs me. She's not dumb and she would be the first to fight/protect what she has (or thinks she has).
As for EJ, I do think it had to be this "Bam!" kinda moment (even though that moment was a big flop on-screen) because it has to be something sudden, something EJ can't control. EJ is all about controlling every single aspect of his and other people's lives, so it needs to be this jarring awakening to something inside himself that he can't control. (And that's the only reason I remotely like this storyline; it gets at EJ in about the only way that can truly hurt him). A slow buildup to feelings would not work because he would easily figure a way to squash them before they came to be anything significant or he would send Taylor away (and he's already tried to do).

Nicole is written out of character everytime she is in EJ's orbit. I cannot stand it!

^^^ I'll second that.
I was upset when they made Nicole the lovesick fall guy for EJ the first time around. I'm not too thrilled at seeing her fall for him so quickly the 2nd time around. Nicole is confusing a little kindness for love. If you can't be with the one you love...

I never beleived the love between Brady and Nicole. Yes Nicole was obsessed with Brady at one time. She did some bad things to try and get him, but his love was for Chloe. When Brady came back the love story between them never felt real. I do think that Nicole did love EJ. I am just sick that she has fallen for him agian when he treated her so bad the lost time.

If Brady is really in love with Chloe, and EJ is...well...EJ, then who should Nicole be with?

I was saying that when Brady left the show he was in love with Chloe. When he came back it was as if he never loved Chloe and Nicole was the love of his life. No build up to it. So it did not seem real. As they spent more time together I can see the friendship and love grow. Would love to see Brady and Nicole together, but EJ ruined that with his plan for Sami.

Ahh. But I thought Brady and Nicole had something in the way back past. No? That's why I bought the recent declarations of undying love. It seemed a bit over the top, but I still went along with it. It did feel like it was dropped rather quickly. I'm waiting to see how it all plays into Brady "stealing" Titan. I don't think we're done with Bricole just yet.

DD - Way back when, Nicole was part of a triangle with Brady and Chloe. Brady chose Chloe. Brady married Chloe. It seemed at the time like his relationship with Nicole was more like an extended fling, and Nicole did some dirty rotten things to Chloe. So, as DJM said, when all of a sudden they showed up in love with each other, it came as a surprise.
However, Nicole and Brady are terrific actors and, over time, they sold the relationship, at least to me they did. I have grown to like them as a couple and find myself rooting for them.

I think that Nicole has chosen to be stuck in a "weird family" with EJ and the children; she loves the kids and is trying to convince herself that she is falling for EJ and he for her. That fantasy concept makes her rather sad situation easier to bear; she needs to love and be loved by the children and being EJ's woman is a part of the deal that she must find a way to tolerate, grin, bear it, and tell herself that she is happy.
She's trying to make lemonade out of a lemon (EJ.)
