Philip didn't seem too thrilled when Rachel came up with the idea of asking Chloe to come to Florida and sing at the convention. He seems a bit uncomfortable having them both go to Florida. I thought it was interesting that Philip happened to have a CD of Chloe singing in his car. I wonder if Rachel thought it was a bit odd too.

LOL at Philip thinking of a 3 way with Chloe and Rachel. Keep dreaming buddy! I felt so bad for Chloe watching the two of them kiss passionately in front of her. I think Rachel was showing Chloe that Philip is hers since she initiated the kiss. I wonder if Philip made his decision about not coming home based on Chloe's comments about the trip. I wonder if Chloe's looking forward to the trip or dreading it?

Rachel: Can I ask you a question?
Philip: Sure.
Rachel: Why do you have this CD in your car of Chloe singing?
Philip: I used to play it for Parker ... before Chloe moved to Chicago.
Rachel: You told me that you and Chloe are just friends, right? Except for that time when the two of you got drunk and had a one night stand. Which is how Parker came to be.
Philip: That’s right.
Rachel: And that’s all she is to you?
Philip: She’s a friend. What’s wrong?
Rachel: Well ... Now that I’ve seen her in your apartment, and I’ve seen the two of you together with your son ... I can’t believe you two are just friends. I mean, neither of you are exactly ugly. Why aren’t you having sex?
Philip: Excuse me?
Rachel: I just find it hard to believe you’re not attracted to each other.
Philip: I tend to be a one-woman man. And you’re that one woman.
Rachel: Aw. Thank you Philip. [She kissed him. But she couldn’t let the subject go.] It just seems weird that you would have her CD in your car.
Philip: Rachel. Come on. You’re not jealous, are you?
Rachel: Just because she’s drop-dead gorgeous? And because she’s the mother of your child? And because you live with her? No, why would I be jealous?
Philip: I told you, we live together for convenience ... for our son. Because we share custody of Parker. You said you understood.
Rachel: Oh, I do. I just ... I guess seeing the domestic scene in your apartment made it more “real” for me, you know? ... I’m not sure you ever told me how long you two have been friends.
Philip: You’re asking a lot of questions.
Rachel: How long?
Philip: Since ... since I was in high school.
Rachel: High school??? That’s a long time. And ... other than the one night stand, were the two of you ever romantically involved? ... Philip?
Philip: Okay. Yes. We were.
Rachel: Oh. ... Was it serious?
Philip sighed.
Philip: It was, once. She was my high school sweetheart.
Rachel: I see. Just in high school?
Philip: Oh, man. No. Not just in high school.
Rachel: Why didn’t you ever tell me this?
Philip: Because, it’s irrelevant now. Rach, listen to me. You have nothing to be jealous of. Whatever Chloe and I had, it’s over. We’re really just friends. Everything else is water under the bridge. Can we change the subject?
Rachel: Fine. Whatever.

Poor Phillip! He knows how he feels about Chloe and thinks he knows how Chloe feels about him. Sounds to me like if Phillip & Chloe can't get on the same page, it's time for someone to move to another apartment.

So sad that Phillip can't just come out and tell Rachel that he wanted more from Chloe but that he thinks that she doesn't want more from him so he's moving on down the road.

Sounds like Rachel is truly not believing the relationship that Philip & Chloe now have.. I don't blame her because it's really not true. I think Rachel will finally be the one to put these two together where they belong.

I really like Rachel pressing Philip for more information about his past with Chloe. He's not offering any information beyond answering her questions as briefly as possible. I can't blame Rachel for feeling jealous. I'm glad that she's feeling that way now.

I think Rachel is starting to realize that Philip and Chloe belong together, hopefully Philip and Chloe realize it soon too. I cant wait to read the next chapter.
