If this is true,Nicole needs to run NOW. Sami needs to be dumped on her dumb ass. Carrie can have Rafe and be done with her abusive bore of a husband. Austin can go back to wherever he's been.

Unfortunately, I think the sex really is happening....only it's going to occur the following Monday instead of Friday like they initially posted. Supposedly some folks were tweeting and chatting with the lady that runs soaps.com and she said that she had inside info on the topic but was asked to remove it once the firestorm started. I'm still skeptical but I think it's a go. This is so disgusting on so many levels but the really disgusting thing is that TPTB are making a mockery of it all and are touting "it's only a one-time thing" as if THAT is going to make viewers go "oh, ok that makes sense." NO, MARDAR, MENG, CORDAY IT MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE AND IS COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY!!!!!!! I don't even see how this can be called "throwing crumbs" at the Ejami's. How can one moment of "angry grief sex" be enjoyable for a fanbase?? Are these people that shallow that that's all it takes to get them all tingly inside? This certainly isn't going to lead to some steamy romance between the two. This blip on the radar is going to have far reaching consequences for several characters as well as the show as a whole. All it does is further destroy the character of Sami (which I didn't think was possible), provide unnecessary angst for Safe (who already had plenty without throwing this crap in the mix), make Nicole look like an even bigger fool if she falls for EJ again, and completely ruins what little integrity Ejole has built over the last couple months. This show is on the fast track to destroying itself and it's decisions like these that have me convinced this is a purposeful endeavor by TPTB.

Agreed Sparkster on all accounts. I would love to have egg on my face about my strong reaction to this 'rumor/spoiler' but I feel it is true. I don't see how EJami fans can be satisfied with this. It is pathetic and does nothing but further ruin the characters. I said elsewhere that I was upset because of what this was going to do to Nicole and that I won't ever be able to support an EJ/Nicole pairing just when I was getting on board with the idea of the two of them together again. I'm all for letting TPTB know how we feel and that we aren't going to take it, but because they film so far in advance, I think we are stuck with this story line. I just can't watch it. I can't. On a side note Sparkster, I didn't realize you were going to have a baby. Congratulations. I'm a proud mama of two boys myself.

@sparky & Puddleduck, ITA! I'm still not sure whether it's true or not but the past five years of Days has left me expecting the worst from them.... and this is by far the worst thing they could have done. EJ is already the scum of the earth so this does nothing to his character but it ends Sami forever. I've tried so hard to hope for some eventual restoration for her but if this happens, I will no longer be a Sami fan ever again. I don't ever want another pairing with Lucas, I don't even want her on the show... and I don't want Lucas returning to this freakshow either. What's more though, I don't want a Days of Our Lives. Making the mistake once was enough but they know how wrong it is, they know it only loses viewers and how strongly most of us feel about the issue and still they persist in glorifying rape and rewarding rapists?! How could I possibly want that sickness to prosper and that is what TPTB are if they do this. If Days won't stop sending the message that rape leads to romance, then it's very simple, I want their ability to send any messages stopped permanently.
It doesn't matter if it only happens once, the damaage will be done and the scars will be permanent (you know sort of like being raped only once is more than enough to scar a woman for life). It will ruin what's left of Sami and Days and there will be no coming back from it. What TPTB are thinking is a harmless little crumb is going to be the final straw. I'm not being melodramatic; I predicted the massive exodus that came with the last attempt at EJ/Sami that Days has still not recovered from 18 months later. Do the math, if they lost that many viewers when Days had been going strong in the ratings and the two didn't have sex, how many more viewers do they stand to lose this time when the event is even worse and Days has been stuck in last place for more than a year. If Days was foolish enough to film such scenes, they need to pull them and/or heavily edit. I don't care how much effort and money it might cost, Days only has two options here, change it before it airs or quickly put in a detour, like making it someone's dream. If Days refuses to do either, then they deserve to end. Sorry to sound so harsh for those who will love Days no matter what it does, but I believe very strongly on this matter and believe it is worth standing up about.

Excellent post, Kazz. It's time for this show to end. Treating abuse and violence as acceptable, sometimes even cute or quirky, is disgusting; the actions on this show validate every negative and insulting stereotype about women and rapists that exists. And people have their children watching this stuff! And then we have the kidnapping, murder, brainwashing...followed by big smiles, sex, more manipulation. It all sickens me and I am done watching. Finally.

What I truly want is for Days to either have not done this (which is still a possibility) or at least realize the error of their ways before it airs. I want for Days not to destroy themselves this way... and I'm still hoping they make the right choice... maybe they will before it's too late. In the meantime, we have a chance to help Days save itself by writing and calling to request that the scenes are pulled.

It still hasn't happened yet, and we don't know exactly how it's going to play out. Rumors can swirl by epic proportions and morph into something completely unrealated to the truth. I'm going to wait to see what actually happens.

^^ I understand that and have said as much when the rumor first started... on the other hand though, the thought has more recently occurred to me that if it is true, then by the time it airs it will be too late. I'm just suggesting the one and only thing that viewers can do while they "wait and see".

^^I absolutely agree that there's still time to let the writers/PTB know that we don't appreciate even the thought of them going there. But since they're already into March, I fear that it won't make much of a difference.

I would rather take a blackout episode or a flashback episode than watch that.
