SALEM INN
Chloe returned to the hotel room with Allie.
Allie: Daddy! Daddy!
She jumped into her father’s lap. Lucas winced with pain but his delight over seeing his daughter outweighed any pain Allie caused.
Allie: Are you okay Daddy?
Lucas: Sure honey, I’m fine.
Lucas squinted at Chloe and cocked his head.
Chloe: I told Sami that there was a kids fashion show at the Salem Inn and I wanted to take Allie. Funny, Sami didn’t question me.
Lucas: Allie, you have to promise me something.
Allie: Okay.
Lucas: Can you keep a secret?
Allie: Are you kidding me? I’m Sami Brady’s daughter. I know how to keep secrets. I’m keeping more secrets than the federal government. Let me guess. You don’t want me to tell Mommy I saw you.
Lucas and Chloe looked at each other with surprise.
Lucas: Um, that’s right. You see …
Allie: You’re planning a surprise and you don’t want Mommy to know.
Lucas: How did you know I was going to say that?
Allie: I lived in EJ’s house, remember?
Lucas: Trust me, I remember. But you know what? I’m so happy to have some time with you right now. Maybe when I go back to Hong Kong you can come visit again. Would you like that?
Allie: No. I’d rather you stay in Salem with me.
Lucas: Aw, honey. I can’t make any promises, but I can tell you that I’m going to be in Salem for a while. At least until my leg heals.
Allie: What happened to your leg?
Lucas: Skiing accident.
Allie: Baloney. Why don’t you tell me what really happened.
Lucas: Allie, are you sure you’re only 6?
Lucas squeezed his daughter tight and looked at Chloe.
Lucas: Thanks Chloe, I owe you one.
Chloe: No, I owe you.
Lucas: Consider us even.

SALEM INN
The next day, Lucas has all his equipment in place and he’s watching the apartment across the street, but nothing is going on. He’s about to fall asleep from boredom when he hears voices. He looks around and soon realizes that the sounds are coming from his earpiece. He looks into the telescope and sees EJ and Rafe in the lobby near the elevator. He listens to the conversation.
EJ: You know the plan, right?
Rafe2: Sure boss. You want me to impersonate Ralph.
EJ: It’s Rafe, you idiot.
Rafe2: Whatever.
EJ: I want you to be yourself. Be inappropriate and annoy the living daylights out of Samantha. And be sure not to endear yourself to the children. I’m tired of the children thinking of Rafe like he’s their father. Do you understand?
Lucas: That one thing EJ and I agree on.
Rafe2: Sure boss. When do I start?
EJ: Tomorrow.
Rafe2: What about the real Rafe?
EJ: Don’t worry about him. We’ll get him out of the way permanently. Just be ready to step in when I give you the signal.
Rafe2: What signal?
EJ: We discussed this.
Rafe2: I don’t remember. Is it like a baseball signal? Like the one for a curveball?
EJ: Good heavens, where does my father find all these bloody morons?
Rafe2: At the Imposter Store.
EJ: It’s the royal wave. When you see me give you the royal wave …
Rafe2: Oh, I know what that is. Where I come from we call it “the finger.”
Lucas raises his cite to Sami’s apartment and sees Rafe pouring himself a cup of coffee.
Lucas: I couldn’t stand the guy when there was only one of him, and now there are two. I need to tell Bo right away. And there’s no time to waste.
Lucas makes a phonecall. An hour later Bo arrives and Lucas tells him the story. Bo is clearly impressed with all the surveillance equipment and the fact that Lucas had his listening device hooked up to a tape recorder.
Bo: This is it. This is the evidence we need to put Stefano and Junior away for life. Thanks man.
Lucas: Any time. Happy to do your job for you.
Five minutes after Bo left the hotel room, Lucas watched Bo talk to the real Rafe in Sami’s apartment. After a few minutes, Bo and Rafe headed out.

Monday?!?!?! How oh how will I ever wait that long?!?!! THis is gonna be SOOOO good!!! love how Lucas told Bo that he was happy to do his job for him. Lucas cracks me up!
