Philip has a tendency to mope and dwell on the past. I'm glad that Brady told him to grow up. I'm not sure that this is the way to ask Philip to talk to Chloe, but it was definitely something that needed to be said.

I disagree, why should Philip have to talk to her on Nicole’s behalf or at all?
She made it clear how she didn’t feel about him so why push him back into her orbit just to satisfy his and Nicole’s needs? And he’s not really the person to tell him that even if it needed to be said, he’s a hot mess himself

Chapter 2d


“I know she broke your heart. Again. Well by now you should be immune to the pain,” Brady said impatiently. “Grow up Philip!”

He glared at Brady and rose to his feet. “I didn’t come here to be insulted. I can beat myself up quite well without any help.” He crushed the empty coffee cup with his hands, dropped it on the table, and walked away.

Brady got up and rushed after Philip. He grabbed his arm. “Don’t walk away from me!”

Philip turned around and felt his anger rise. “Brady, I owe you nothing. I owe Nicole nothing. I owe Deimos nothing. And I sure as hell owe Chloe nothing. I’ve given my pound of flesh and then some.” He looked at Brady’s hand gripping his arm and then back at Brady’s face. Brady released him and Philip said, “Don’t contact me again.”

Philip’s insides burned as he walked away from Brady. He was furious. He couldn’t believe the nerve of Brady putting all this on him. This wasn’t his problem. This wasn’t his fight. This wasn’t his responsibility. It’s not like the baby was missing. She was being well cared for, that much he was certain of. Chloe was a good mother. He couldn’t explain why she did what she did, but he was sure she had a good reason. She wasn’t the type of person who would keep a child from its mother for nothing.

Don’t get sucked in, his gut said over and over. It’s Nicole’s problem, not yours. And it’s Brady’s problem only because he chooses to make it his own. Stay out of it. Stay out of it, or wind up miserable like every other time you get caught in Chloe’s web. “It’s not worth it,” he muttered.

Philip's train of thought makes sense but we know he will get involved at some point anyway. Lol

Brady is being incredibly selfish. He doesn’t appear to have a reason why he thinks Philip can persuade Chloe to give up the baby, and doesn’t care if Philip gets hurt in the process.
