Wow! The Eagles and Bears game was something. Can’t believe the Eagles won. I’m happy for them but I can’t help but feel bad for their kicker. What a crazy ending.

The field goal was slightly deflected, so it wasn't his fault.

Yes they showed that later but either way he’s still getting a lot of grief for it.
It was an exciting game.

I didn't realize the kick was deflected either. I felt bad for Parkey, but I was rooting for Philadelphia. It was the Bears' game to lose at that point.

I only stated that because a lot of people didn't know and they sent him death threats. Parkey was already feeling terrible and doing this was just cruel. He didn't lose the game. Football is a team game and certainly scoring an additional TD would have avoided the final kick.

That's true sportsgirl. It's a team sport and an earlier TD would have made the last-second field goal try a moot point. Death threats are ridiculous. It's a GAME. |
