What is so crazy about the film noir is even there Philip doesn't get the girl!!! The handsome, dark and sexy Philip Kiriakis loses out to the PI.... Unbelievable!!!!! Oh I know! I remember when Nicole was telling him about her dream, Philip said something like "So even in your fantasy, Chloe falls for my brother." I felt so bad for him. I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I read somewhere that Kristen Renton was supposed to be in the film noir fantasy, but her scenes were cut. If that's true then maybe Philip was never supposed to end up alone in Nicole's fantasy. @ Kpatch - I loved Don Draper's appearance in The Weary Kind. Maybe he can make another appearance down the road in another fanfic.

I really like the Philip and EJ one too. Talk about a missed opportunity. I know they shared some scenes together here and there, but it would've been really great to see them in an actual s/l together.

It was definitely a missed opportunity.

I really wish they would have gone in deeper to the first Demira vs. Kiriakis war. It would have been nice to follow both E.J and Philip in their journeys in becoming independent from their fathers and running their family businesses. I would have loved to see an E.J. vs. Philip rivalry. It would have been a much better storyline than anything James or Jay got in the past two years.

That would have been a great story for each of them. It would have been nice to see them in a story that didn't just focus on the women they were pursuing.

That's why the Demira vs Kiriakis War was my favoritey storyline that Philip was in because you got see many sides to him. His relationship with Stephanie, his business side, and his relationship with Victor. It was a multidimensional story, I just hated how it ended so abruptly it had the potential to really be a great storyline with so many different characters involved.

That story could have involved many characters but unfortunately some writers don't want to or can't write the big "umbrella" stories well. The new writers seem to be doing it. Unfortunately when it comes to Philip's storylines there were countless missed opportunities both relationship wise and in other stories.

They could have done alot of great things with Philip. They could have given him a PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder)storyline, just based on what he'd been through, but they didn't.They could have furthered the Dimera/Kiriakis war,but they didn't.

A PTSD story after he returned from the war would have been terrific.

I'm glad that Jack's getting it now,Matt will knock it out of the park, but Jay would have done it justice as well.
