This can't be good. Let's hope someone other than Rafe rescues Hope.

Poor Hope! I hope her injuries aren't serious.

I hope her injuries are just serious enough to explain her disorientation if police officers find her to explain why she was so far from the bus.

Chapter 9a
She opened her eyes slowly and all she saw was a haze of images she couldn’t quite make out. She didn’t know where she was and it took her a moment to even remember who she was. She was Hope Brady from Salem. Last thing she remembered was a horrible bus accident. Or was it a train accident? Or was it a nightmare?
Was she in prison? No, that didn’t make any sense. She wouldn’t be in prison. She was a cop. She dealt with prisoners all the time. That’s probably why she remembered seeing prisoners chained together.
As she looked around, she appeared to be in a bedroom somewhere. It didn’t look like a hospital or even a hotel. It looked like a bedroom in someone’s home. “I have a feeling I’m not in Kansas anymore,” she muttered.
“You’re awake,” a man said as he entered the room.
Hope blinked several times as the man’s face came into focus. He had shaggy hair and a beard and was wearing a plaid shirt and jeans. Her lips parted. “Bo? Oh my god.” She tried to hoist herself up against the headboard, but failed. “Bo, is that you?”
The man set down a bowl of water and washcloth he’d been holding. He took a seat at the edge of the bed and squeezed Hope’s hand. “I was afraid I’d lost you.”
“You were afraid? I was afraid I’d lost you. I thought you died.” She paused, trying to remember. “Wait. You did die. I know because I held you in my arms as you died. Or was that just another nightmare?”
“Um. I guess it must have been my lookalike who died.”

I, too, have to wonder if this is the real Bo, and what’s going on.

Oh, I hope it’s Bo! What fun this could be to have them on the run like the great adventures of Days!

Hope's dreaming right?? She's not really in a bedroom somewhere...she's still laying out by the train tracks...right??? Having Bo back would be too good to be true.

Chapter 9b
“I thought you died.” She paused, trying to remember. “Wait. You did die. I know because I held you in my arms as you died. Or was that just another nightmare?”
“I guess it must have been my lookalike who died,” he said with a sad smile.
“Lookalike? Like a doppelganger?” Her mind immediately went to the Dimeras who specialized in the business of doppelganger placements.
“I’m impressed you can even pronounce that word after everything you’ve been through,” he said.
She touched the bandage on her forehead. “I’m sorry. I’m having a hard time distinguishing between reality and dreams. I’m not entirely sure I’m not dreaming right now. What happened to me?”
“You really don’t remember?” He took a deep breath. “You were in an accident. It was about a half a mile from here but I could hear metal on metal and these horrible screeching sounds. When I went out to see what happened, I found you lying in the grass.”
“I seem to remember a pair of arms lifting me up. I thought it was an angel carrying me to heaven. Was that you?”
“Well, I’m no angel, but yes, that was me. I found you and brought you here.”
“How long have I been here?”
“Two days. I thought you might never wake up.”
“Two days?” she said. “Oh my god. I can’t believe I’ve been out cold for two days. But … but you didn’t take me to a hospital.”
“It’s all over the news, Hope. Three prisoners escaped. Guards were injured. Bringing you to a hospital would only be placing you back in the system and I couldn’t … no, I wouldn’t do that to you.”
“So that part is true? Not just a nightmare? I’m really a fugitive?”
“I’m afraid so.” He squeezed her hand. “But you’re safe here.”
She looked down at her shirt. “What happened to my jumpsuit?”
“I thought it would be prudent to change you out of your prison garb. I hope that’s okay.”
“Of course it is. That was good thinking. Thank you for taking care of me. But …” She sighed deeply. “I can’t believe you of all people found me.”
“I guess it was fate.”
“Definitely. Fate always has a way of bringing us together,” she said squeezing his hand. When he smiled at her, she added, “Say it.”
“Say what?”
“Say the name you always called me. I need to hear you say it. Then I’ll know for sure it’s really you.”
“The name?”
“Don’t tell me you don’t remember the name you called me all our lives.”

Well, this is interesting. If “Bo” genuinely doesn’t know the name, then he’s definitely not the real Bo.

I'm interested to see whether this is the real Bo, and if not, who he is and what he is doing with Hope.

Hmmm, If it isn't really Bo, then who is this? Is this the doppelganger and Bo really did die??
