Starting March 5th of this year, Bravo will be rerunning two Days episodes per day starting the September 16, 2011 episode.
I wonder if it's because of Will's coming out story. But wouldn't they start airing the episode where Sonny arrives in Salem, since he's the very first gay character?

Seems like a random date in time. Wish it was more like the year 2000. 2011 is too recent, but thanks scorpiogirl for the info!

So strange. Like everyone said - why start there? I guess I won't see any of them since I don't have any recording devices but I still think that's kind of cool. Maybe Days will pick up some new viewers. Anything to keep the ratings up and keep the show on longer is good. Thanks for the info.

The only thing I can think is that this coincides almost exactly with the start of the MarDar material, which was a 'reboot' of sorts with several characters exiting, others (Marlena, John, Carrie, Austin, Jack) returning, and basically all new stories kicking in. So maybe it just felt like a clean point to pick up? I still wish it were starting way earlier.

I wish they'd start in the late 90's. Thanks for the info!

I wonder if they figure since this was the most popular reboot (based solely on my own perception of things) they'll test airing old shows from there and if it gets a bunch of viewers they might try to go back to earlier regimes. I'm totally just guessing! They also may never go earlier simply because of the music copyright issues that make airing old shows or even issuing them on DVD too costly.

I'd like to see much older episodes than 6 1/2 years ago but it's a start.

I always thought it would be a cool idea to restart an old soap like seeing Santa Barbara again. Didn't realize it could be costly to do that..

I think it's the music that makes it expensive. They used to use a lot of popular music rather than writing their own music in house.
