Take a look at the bottom of any post and you will now see a small "thumbs up" icon that will allow you to "like" posts - similar to the feature on Facebook.
Thanks to TreyDawg for providing me with the info to make this possible.

Do you have to have a certain number of posts or "ranking" to be able to like posts? I'm not seeing the like button anywhere.
I can see where others have liked it, but I can't see where I can "like" it.

^^^ It should be to the left of the -Report to Mod- button/link. You may just see the words with a little red X. That's what it shows up as on my work computer, but the link still works.

I can see where others have liked it, but I can't see where I can "like" it. No there is no setting that keeps new members from "liking" posts. The icon is very small but as DD noted it is just to the left of the Report and Link options at the bottom of each post. The icon looks like this:  Are you seeing the other images on the site? Sometimes it takes a while for some computer/server connections to download all of the images. |

No, I haven't been able to see other images on the site either. I will try at home tonight. I know on SS, depening on where the photo was stored or the software used, I couldn't see it here but I could at home.

I have the same problem with my work computer - very frustrating! Supposedly I will be getting a new and better computer there soon though, and I'm definitely looking forward to it.

My work computer blocks most of the images. The server has photobucket as a semi-blocked site, and I have to click "No, I really wanna go there, please take me to photobucket" or something like that. I guess that's to make sure I'm actually working at work and not doing non-work things. Ahh, if they only knew (which they probably do, but oh well  ). Once I "OK" photobucket, all the images on this board work fine for a while and then I have to renew the photobucket page. I don't have to log in, but I do have to tell the server "I'll take my chances." Hope that helps. |

In my case, it's just that my work computer is archaic and it probably needs to be cleaned up but the idgit that was supposed to be an IT "expert" for our department once upon a time, blocked all of the computers he set up from being able to access anything considered admin (and that includes any program I could have used to clean it up). Our agency used to block tons of sites from our servers, but now the head honcho is a former employee of Microsoft and we can access (legally that is) almost anything - smart guy! He realized that people who are going to goof off are still going to goof off and blocking internet sites just slows down the majority of employees who are trying to get their work done.

Work has blocked a LOT of things on the internet for us due to all of the regulations handed down by the SEC and Fed. I work in a brokerage firm so I blame Madoff for all of the new stuff we are having to do.
Just checked here at home and I can see the pics so it is just an issue with blocked software/programs/websites @ work.

I am finding a problem with these likes.... I just about never get liked  I am really feeling unwanted & unloved... others get bunches of likes... We need a dislike button also so I can get bunches of something!!  (insert a partial sarcasm sign here) |
