Seeing that Days promo got me thinking, besides the Hope & Rafe coupling being like The Avengers (Emma Peel & John Steed) as Pallison suggested, (and that would be perfect) what other different couples could go together.. you can use current & past characters for this. I can't wait to see some of these ideas....  |

Great thread idea, sportsgirl!
I think Jennifer and Rafe would be a good pair. Jennifer has a spirited fun side. Sami is not lighthearted, but Jennifer is. I think Jennifer could bring out Rafe's lighter side and she has an analytic mind and could even help him with some detective work.

I liked the look of Nicole and Rafe, but I'm not sure story-wise how it would work. I also like the work-pairing of "The Avengers." (Why do I have a feeling kpatch is already writing that story?)

I liked the idea of Nicole and Rafe. I liked that idea since they were in Nicole's motel room and he stole the CD of EJ admitting the kidnapping from her. I thought that was great. Maybe Nicole can have Rafe2 and Sami can have Rafe. LOL
But, when I watched the new cast promo they did the other day, I saw Rafe pin Chloe down and kiss her. Man o man, they looked amazing together! Such beautiful people.
I like the thought of Jennifer with Rafe too...(Geez, I sure like Rafe with a lot of characters, seeing as I am not much of a fan of Rafe's. He is too boring!)

Kpatch-how do you keep your stories straight! Love them. Hope/Rafe or Hope/Dr. Baker - I like the lady with the scoundrel concept Mike Horton with Chloe - (she reminds me visually a bit like Robin, and he'd be good for her). Let me mull on some others...

^^^Bo and Hope were the original Lady and the Scoundrel. Their scenes in the early 80s were so delightful, even if Hope was a spoiled brat a lot of the time. I don't like her, romantically, with anyone else. But in a working relationship, I do like the idea of her and Rafe.
As for Mike and Chloe, isn't he WAY too old for her??? Daniel was too, which is another reason I hated them together. Sorry Dan. When your wife is almost the same age as your daughter, that's gross. Then again, wasn't Mike in his 20s for all of the 80s and 90s? Without the SORASing and DeSORASing, who knows how old he's supposed to be anyway?

Yeah, but I figured Chloe digs older guys, so it'd be a good pairing. LOL Depends on how old Jennifer is supposed to be. If he's only in his early 40s, then he and Chloe wouldn't be too bad together.
I totally agree with Bo/Hope. But, they've ruined a lot of Bo/Hope's background characters that I could totally see her with a fresh change.

Melanie & Chad...Yep, they dated in real life but it would be fun seeing an ex-Kiriakis going over to the other side also as a DiMera.

The problem I have with Abby & Chad is they had to de-sorased her to do this. Mel would have been closer in age. |

I think if any of them are in their 20s they're considerend the same age. It does seem that they all go through college pretty quick though. Mel's supposed to be 20, but she's already a nurse??? I can buy Abby is 21-ish and still in college; that makes sense. And did Chad ever go to college? Somehow I doubt it.

No he hasn't yet... they talkd about him going to Salem U or Wake Forest.. They say he is 20 years old.
