Technically, this could go in the Best Commercials thread, so if anyone feels it should be moved, I will, but I felt this warranted its own thread. In this thread, discuss older commercials that are no longer being shown that you remember enjoying.
For me, there are three that immediately spring to mind.
#1 - "Mr. Owl", Tootsie Pops Yes, I know, it's kind of cheating, as this one still gets occasional airplay on some stations, albeit in a VERY cut down form. I love the full version of this commercial. The cow, fox and turtle are all funny! I'm not sure why this version isn't shown anymore. I also love the kid, who I believe is voiced by the original actor to voice Charlie Brown. Either way, the full version of this commercial is fantastic!
#2 - "Blarney Blast", Bennigan's I'm not sure if Bennigan's is still around or not (I'm pretty sure it's not), but I remember seeing these commercials all the time when I was a kid. This particular one was my favorite, because of the song that plays during it. I thought it was funny.
#3 - "You're On Vacation", ATA Ah, yes. The now, sadly, defunct American Trans Air. This is another one where I saw this, and similar, commercials all the time when I was growing up. I love the relaxed feel of it, and the music which is an homage to Jimmy Buffet. I've actually flown on ATA several times. It was cheap, but still nice, and was one of the few airlines at that time that flew non-stop from Chicago to Tampa (this was back in the mid/late 1990s, bear in mind. Now that's not uncommon at all). But the commercial itself is nice, especially the music. Kind of makes me want to go on vacation.
