I recently had to fill out one of those getting-to-know-you questionnaires at work. One of the questions was:
If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, living or dead, who would it be?
I'll tell you my answer (later), but I'd like to know what your answer would be.
Also tell us who in Salem, current or past, you would have dinner with.

Anyone in the real world or anyone in Salem? Hmmm, real world:I'll say the virgin Mary. I have a number of questions for her. Salem: (of course) EJ. I just want to get him drunk and do naughty things together.

DD, you have such great ideas! I added your idea to my original post. Now the question is who from real life would you have dinner with, and who from Salem would you have dinner with. Sounds like you're not really interested in the dinner part.

With EJ? You're right. Dinner is an afterthought.

I would dinner with my father... he's been gone for over 9 years now and I miss him so much.
In Salem, I would have dinner with Nicole just so I could ask her "What the heck are you thinking girl?" Where is the Nikki we all used to know & love?

I would have dinner with my gramma who just died in January. I miss her a lot. I wasn't able to make it back to Newfoundland for the funeral so I have been very guilt ridden. She meant a lot to me.
In salem i would like to have had dinner with Frances Reid. She was amazing. She was days of our lives and everything days of Our lives is.

If I could have dinner with anyone it would be my dad's mom. She died when he was 9 so I never got to meet her and everyone told me I would love her and that we were so alike. I would have dinner with Hope. She has been on the show so long I am sure she would have lots of good stuff to dish about.

In real life, Leonard Cohen. In Salem, Sami - we have a LOT to talk about, scratch that, I have a LOT to say to her and she better listen up!

For a real person, it's a tie... My grandfather who passed away during my senior year of college--he had the best stories that I still use in my history classes, but we never taped him or wrote anything down. (You'd think a history major would know better, right? ) He's tied with Ryan Reynolds--I'm pretty sure he needs some, um, consolation after his marriage has broken up... My Days person...Lucas. YUM. Even if I could only sit and stare at him...

My Days person...Lucas. YUM. Even if I could only sit and stare at him... Yum is right! Who can think about dinner with company like that ... I'd rather have dinner with Lucas too, but unfortunately I have a bone or two to pick with Sami, so I'll have to stick with that answer but Lucas would have been my first choice otherwise.

Okay, I said I'd give my answer after other people had a turn. So here's what I wrote on that questionnaire. I said I wanted to have dinner with The Food Network's Bobby Flay because, if nothing else, you know that dinner will taste really good (he's cooking).
As for which Salemite, past or present, I would want to have dinner with, I'm going to pick Mike Horton. Mike has a rich history on Days. I think he may have been the first baby born on the show. His parents, Bill and Laura, were Days first supercouple. He has been played by three actors and they've all been great in the role, especially the first two. I would like to hear all the Horton history he has stored up.
Bet you're all surprised I didn't chose Philip. That's because I have dinner with Philip all the time - in my dreams. LOL.
