Does anyone have plans for the Kentucky Derby?
I have a big bash I am going to attend, I bought a new Brim for the occasion.

Yes! We always make a big deal of the Derby. We're having the neighbors over and I'll make something fun to eat. Ron will play bartender. Sometimes he dreams up a special cocktail for each jewel of the Triple Crown. I love that you bought a new derby for the Derby Ted Bell ! Go Gormley!

It is the fastest 2 minutes in sports (Unless your team is losing in the Super Bowl and they don't have any TO's left).
I avoided the new Derby for the Derby line!
I hope you have a fancy Lid for the festivities.

Didn't even realize it was coming up.. nope, do not do anything except try to watch the race. Most of the time I forget it is even on.

I enjoy the Triple Crown, and make a point of watching all three races . . . Unfortunately, I don't have any plans for Derby Day, other than a quick, easy supper so I'm finished with the dishes before the race itself.

We are planning on making a day of it, beginning with watching all of the festivities leading up to the Derby.

We enjoyed the show and the race. I didn't have any horse that interested me. Actually, the most exciting race for was the Woodford Reserve Turf Classic where Divisidero came up from behind.
I noticed the guy who plays Snake on Days was in one of the Geico commercials.

I was busy being a host and missed those earlier races. I was rooting for Gormley and Victor Espinoza, but the best position they had was 4th. Oh well. On to the Preakness!

On to the 2nd jewel. The Preakness is kind of a dud compared to the Derby and that is too bad it is a great race.
Does anyone have plans? I will just cook-out nothing big. Just not that geeked-up about it. And I should be.

We are having company again like we did for the Derby. I spent last night cooking. We're having eggplant parm with pasta. I made a blueberry cake. Fun appetizers including tater tots. Ron will tend bar.
I like the Preakness because it's fun saying Pimlico. Hoping the Dream horse gives us hope for that elusive Triple Crown!

The Preakness was so exciting. It was neck-in-neck between the two favorites--Always Dreaming (the Kentucky Derby winner) and Classic Empire--until the final turn. Then Cloud Computing edged out Always Dreaming and the race was between Cloud Computing and Classic Empire until the very last moment. Photo finish!
Congratulations to Cloud Computing. Alas, no Triple Crown winner this year.

I'm glad you enjoyed the race Kpatch! Cloud computing is a bizarre name for a horse.
