I don't really hate Daniel (well, except for coming between Phloe). What I dislike is his...ubiquitousness and sainthood. He was a decent character - eventually. But some of the writers seemed to be in love with the character to the point that is was ridiculous. I also didn't buy into the Daniel and Nicole great love, especially to the detriment of Eric and Nicole. And as Kpatch said if Brady and Nicole are going to be together I don't want it to be implied at all that is has something to do with Daniel's heart. Nicole should love Brady for himself only. JMO.

I didn't hate Daniel either. What I didn't like was that it felt as though the writers inserted him into almost every story on the canvas, and then it felt like they did the same thing with Melanie when she became his daughter.
Daniel was an interesting character, at times I liked him, at times I didn't, and the actor was solid, but we didn't need him everywhere all the time. And now that he's gone, I swear we hear more about him than we do any other deceased character, including Bo Brady who was a legacy character and half of one of the show's core couples since the 1980s. It's ironic that even in death, the Daniel overkill is still irritating.

I dislike Daniel a lot I think he's a creep and I'm more than annoyed that even though he's dead they don't shut up about him The shrine especially pissed me off I also didn't buy into him and Nicole's great love story cu I personally thought he was a jerk to her 9/10 times She seemed pathetic that she even still wanted him I'd be happier about her and Brady if Brady didn't have Daniels heart
