Just for fun...
I often find myself singing old obscure songs, so I thought we could share. Feel free to post those obscure songs you love.
I love this song because the lyrics are so clever and work so well together. Genius! Anyone remember John Davidson?

I mostly remember John Davidson from the TV Show "That's Incredible"
Here is a song for me, that probably though isn't so obscure.

I don't know about songs no one knows but I'm totally into 70's and early 80's music lately - stuff no one may remember or think about anymore. The cheesy stuff that would have probably been on one of those K-Tel records commercials. It just makes me happy. I guess it's nostalgia. This is what I remember from my childhood.
Do you remember these?
This one's even from Solid Gold! Do your remember that show?

My Favorite Paul Davis song is "65 Love Affair"
A bartender at the Roadhouse I visit from time to time looks a lot like him from the 70's and 80's and I always play it.

I remember Paul Davis wendylou. I just didn't remember that he had so many hits. I think I had one of those K-Tel albums with I Go Crazy. That song still gives me chills. Haunting.

I need to learn to post video's on here, it is something I will work on.
Here is a great sound that I am all but sure no one has heard. Tony Joe White "I Get Off On It"
It is posted on YouTube from his Austin City Limits gig way, way back in the day as they say.

I've always loved both of those songs, I Go Crazy and Cool Night, but I never knew who sang them (I was young when they were popular) so when I looked them up and saw that they were by the same guy I was so surprised. They're in heavy rotation on my itunes. I do also remember that song '65 Love Affair Ted Bell.

sportsgirl, I'm intrigued by that last one you posted. I never heard of it and will definitely be checking it out. wendylou, speaking of coincidences, Neil Diamond is my all-time favorite singer and the first time I heard the song Flame (first video I posted), I loved it but had no idea he wrote it. I found out he was the songwriter when I got his anthology set called "In My Lifetime," and it was on there. I was shocked. Ted Bell, here's instructions from our How-To section on how to embed a video here. It works with YouTube and a handful of other formats. I hope this helps.

John Davidson. Wow! I remember him showing up pretty much everywhere on television in the 70s. Don't remember him being a singer. Oh Ted Bell , yur killin me! ELO is like a drug for me. Re: Tony Joe White "I Get Off On It" It sounds familiar but not enough to ring any bells wendylou LOL I'm with you on the K-Tel records because music is all about the happy!!! Paul Davis is so sigh-worthy! And Michael Martin Murphey's Wildfire, well, I need Marlena to help me figure out why 14-year-old me was so mesmerized by that song. Still gets me 40+ years later. Here's a little ditty that sways me every time. Give it a minute for the song to start. *deepsigh*
