from daytime royalty daytimeroyaltyonline.com/topic/8569111/1/SOD: Christie Clark Previews Her 'Days' Return "Carrie wants to keep her family and marriage together," teases Christie Clark (Carrie) about her September 26 comeback. The actress will return to the canvas with Patrick Muldoon (Austin) as the scripts from the show's new headwaiters - Marlene McPherson and Darrell Ray Thomas - kick into high gear. "The writers are doing a great job of nailing the the characters and [writing them] the way they used to be. It feels like 1992, when Patrick and I first worked together," she observed. "They've done an absolutely unbelievable job. Every storyline is interesting. I'm really excited!" Clark will be commuting to the studio in Burbank from San Francisco, where she lives with her husband, Thomas Barnes, and their two daughters, Hannah, 3, and Emma, 11 months. "It's a commute, but well worth it!" she smiles "It's been worked out that I'll be at DAYS Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and I get to spend the other time with my family, which is great!" Clark admits that her oldest daughter is still adjusting to the new schedule. "She misses me," offers Clark. "My 11 months old doesn't like it when I walked out the door, but after that, she doesn't know any different. [Hannah] is definitely like, 'Mommy, I don't want you to go to work!' She's here [with me] this week. I'm going to bring her to the set so that she can see where I work. We've been talking about how I get my hair and makeup done. I've also pulled [my] DAYS 1986 clips on Youtube, and there's a resemblance to her today. She asks me questions about John and Marlena and gets that I'm pretending. She loves to pretend. I think it's in her blood from both my husband and I. At one time, he was going to be an actor." Reteaming with Muldoon again after a 16-year break was "like going back to school for the first day after a long summer break", describes Clark. "It's amazing how it can feel like such a long time has passed, and now it feels like no time at all. But it also feels new because we've grown up a little bit and matured. Working with Patrick feels great and right." Clark, who made a brief cameo earlier this year, is enjoying getting reacquainted with all her former castmates, including Alison Sweeney (Sami). "When we first worked together, Ali was very academic and I was the free spirit," she recalls. "Throughout the years, we've grown into each other. She has turned into a spectacular lady. I feel a deep fondness for her because we've worked together for so long. We enjoy each others company."Meanwhile, there are also new faces that Clark is getting to know, such as DAYS' current set of younger actors. "Patrick and I feel like that was us! I look at them and think, 'I still feel that way,'" she smiles. Curtsey of Forbidden Love.
