Two of our home-grown pineapples turned ripe and we picked them yesterday. They were small but so sweet and delicious. Pineapples are my absolute favorite fruit. Can hardly wait for the other two to ripen!
I also love cherries and watermelon in the summer. Have you ever had Ranier cherries?
What are your favorites?

My favorites are plums and nectarines.
I don't know if I've had Ranier cherries. I rarely buy cherries unless they are on a good sale.

Basically and fresh fruit, but in the summers we spend a week in Michigan where they have a U-pick farm. The Apples or whatever fruit is season at they time we've been there as been really good this year was Strawberries.

The only fruits I'll eat are apples, raisins, and bananas. I eat bananas the most.

Kpatch I'm so jealous that you can grow your own pineapples! I like them but don't buy them much. Some of my favorites are red grapes, which I try to keep in the fridge all summer while they're cheap, cherries and apples. I think avocado is classified as a fruit and if so that's my absolute favorite. I'd eat one everyday if I could.

wendylou, you can grow pineapples in a big pot or container. All you need is soil and sun (and water) like with any plant. Buy a whole pineapple. Cut off the top. Stick it in the soil. They take a long time to sprout fruit, sometimes years. Ron planted lots of pineapple tops over the years, so we usually get a few to produce fruit each year. Sometimes though, the animals get to them before we do.

Hmm. Maybe I'll have to try it. My backyard is small and very shady but maybe I can grow one in a pot on the driveway.

Strawberries, watermelon, cantaloupe and fresh blackberries straight off the vine are my absolute faves. I also like bananas, apples, grapes, peaches, raisins, pears.
Wow, I like more fruit than I thought!! Generally, I'm not what people consider a healthy eater. LOL!

I will try your technique, I will let you know in a..... few years! LOL

Just a note about the pineapples. You need to live in a tropical area like Florida to grow them.
