2011-07-12 Maggie, Victor At the mansion, Justin and Adrienne tell Victor that Sonny is back in Salem. Victor wonders why he hasn't come to see him yet. They give reasons that seem lame to Victor. He tells them if Sonny doesn't want to see him he can't help it, and he has other things to worry about. Later at the pub, Adrienne and Justin tell Sonny they told Victor he's there but didn't say anything more. Sonny is glad because he wants to be the one to tell him. Later, at the mansion, Sonny comes in. Victor asks if his parents threatened to cut off his allowance if he didn't come. Sonny says it's good to see him. He gives Victor a big hug and says he missed him. Victor struggles to get away but Sonny says not until he tells him he missed him too. Victor grumbles and Sonny lets go. Victor says he's upset with him for not coming sooner. Sonny says that was wrong and he's sorry. Victor asks him what girl kept him away and and reduced his uncle to an afterthought. Sonny says there's no one. They chat about Kiriakis men loving and marrying the wrong women. Sonny tells him he will never have to worry about him bringing home the wrong girl, because he's gay.
Meanwhile at Maggie's, Abigail comes by to get her internship schedule. She wants to put in for the night shift. Maggie wonders what Chad thinks about it. Abigail tells her she's not with Chad anymore because he's running errands for Stefano and they all know what that means. Maggie sighs and tells her she understands because she has that same struggle with herself over Victor. Abigail is afraid of being hurt, she doesn't know if she wants to take that chance. To her surprise, Maggie tells her to dump him. Maggie says the only way to not get hurt is to never love anyone. Abby says it isn't love yet. Maggie says yet is the operative word, bad always comes with good. Maggie says she would not trade one second of the time that she loved Mickey to be free of the pain of losing him. Abigail doesn't know what to do. Maggie tells her to not build walls but be careful. Later, Maggie goes to the pub and joins Adrienne and Justin. They tell her Sonny is in town. Maggie is happy and would love to see him.
2011-07-13 Maggie, Victor At the pub, Maggie, Adrienne and Justin reminisce about Sonny and chat about his current plans. Maggie tells Adrienne and Justin that Victor would love to have Sonny work at Titan. Adrienne says maybe not. Maggie asks why. They tell her Sonny is gay. She asks how they're handling it. They explain it was a process but they joined a support group and are figuring things out. Maggie is concerned about the struggle Sonny will have with other people. She asks if Victor knows. They say Sonny is telling him now.
At the mansion, Victor thinks Sonny is joking. Sonny says he's known all his life that he's gay. He told his parents years ago, they never said anything to Victor because they were afraid he wouldn't take it well, and he's glad because he wanted to tell him in person. Victor asks if he expected an argument. Sonny says yes. Victor says he doesn't want to fight with him, he feels sorry for him. Sonny smiles, saying, "So you feel sorry for me because I'm gay" Victor says because his life will be more difficult. Sonny points out that Victor is straight, he asks if his life has been less difficult. Victor says Sonny will have legal difficulties. Sonny says all of that is changing. Victor gets upset thinking about him being subjected to bigotry and interlance. Sonny says he can handle it. Victor says Salem isn't New York or LA, and people won't be tolerant. Adrienne, Justin and Maggie come in. Adrienne tells Victor he better not be one of those people. Sonny tells his parents that his uncle is just being honest and he knows very well about gay-bashing in the world, and he's lucky to have two good people as parents and an old shark as a great uncle [Victor chuckles] so he knows how to navigate through the rough waters. Victor is surprised Maggie is there. Maggie says she's known Sonny since he was little and, she goes to Sonny, she wanted to give him a hug. Victor tells her his doctor has ordered him to go for walks every day, he asks if she'd like to join him. She says sure.
2011-07-22 Maggie Jennifer comes to Maggie's for a movie night. She tells Maggie that she and Daniel aren't dating anymore. Maggie asks if it's because she got a letter from Jack. Jennifer tells her it's complicated. Maggie says no, she's still in love with Jack. Jennifer disagrees and says she just doesn't feel that she and Daniel should be together. Maggie says that's a crock. She tells her that she and Victor can come up with about two dozen reasons each why the two of them can't be together yet Jennifer can't even come up with one, other than "it's a feeling." Maggie tells her she needs to figure out the reason or she'll never know what they could have had if they had given it a try.
2011-07-26 Maggie, Victor At the mansion, Victor is surprised that Maggie has come to visit him. She says he's the last person she wanted to see. He lets her in and says then maybe she shouldn't have rung his doorbell. She says she's looking for Brady and Henderson told her that Victor was out of town on business. He says that's what happens when she believes what Hennderson says. She asks if he had Henderson lie to her. He's amused and asks if she thinks he's trying to lure her into his parlor. She says no, he would never stoop to manipulation to get what he wants. She starts to leave but he asks her to stay and offers tea. She gets a message from Brady to postpone. She asks Victor why she would stay. He says because they're friends. She says it's better if she goes. As she walks down the sidewalk, Victor calls to her to have a nice day. He frowns as he watches her leave.
At Brady Pub, Sonny's friend Tad is hassling him about a picture of them on the internet that will make people think he's gay too. Sonny says he's overreacting. Tad calls him a "perve" says he's disgusting. Victor says no, Tad is the disgusting one. Maggie comes into the pub while Victor is lighting into Tad in support of Sonny. Maggie listens proudly. Tad starts to leave but Sonny tells him to wait. He apologizes about posting the pictures. Victor tells Sonny to not apologize. Sonny tells Victor to not tell him what to do. Sonny goes to Tad and says he hopes he will understand someday. Tad walks away. Victor is proud of Sonny for giving Tad another chance. Victor sees Maggie and says he has to go. Sonny thanks him and gives him a hug. Victor smiles then looks sad when Maggie leaves.
Later, at the mansion, Maggie comes to the door. Victor opens it and asks if she still doesn't want to see him or does she want to tell him off some more. She sheepishly says she was hoping to have that tea he offered, with a side of crow. He chuckles and says anything her little heart desires. She apologizes for being wrong about him. Victor says she prefers to think the worst about him, and usually she's right. Maggie chuckles. She comes inside and tells him she thinks he was wonderful for standing by Sonny, she had him all wrong. Victor says maybe because she doesn't listen to him and insists on believing the worst about him. She bites her lip. He says 98% of the time she's right. She chuckles. Maggie says they're at it again and she's confused about which direction their relationship is going. He quips that at their age, they should be better at the romance malarky. She thinks maybe it's because they know how painful it can be. He asks if that's it or is it something else. Maggie says what she doesn't understand is why it's so scary, why does being with him feel like she's on the edge of a cliff? Victor says and there's a strong wind blowing. Maggie is relieved that he knows what she means. She asks why he thinks it's scary. He thinks it's because they suspect that this is the real thing. Maggie looks away, sets her cup down, and stands. Victor thinks she's going to leave. Instead she sits on his lap. He smiles. She giggles and kisses him.
2011-08-01 Maggie, Victor Victor is in a private dining room at Chez Rouge. He's barking into his phone when Maggie comes to the door. He apologizes but she says she understands. He's surprised she isn't questioning his true motives. She says she asked him to dinner because she owes him an apology. He says with the way she looks now she doesn't have to apologize for anything. She says he's trying to distract her but she won't let him. He concedes and tells her to go ahead and apologize. She takes a deep breath and says all he's tried to do is make her happy, but she was always suspicious, so she wants to apologize for being scared and judgmental, and for putting up roadblocks that shouldn't be there. He says, "Apology accepted. Let's eat." He goes to sit down but she grabs his arm and says there's more. He frowns. She pats his hand. She says they don't see eye-to-eye most of the time but when they're alone, he makes her feel cherished and adored...and loved. He smiles and says good. She's sorry she hasn't made him feel that way because she was being so defensive. Victor says she's done all right. She says they're not young, but they're not dead either. Victor chuckles. She says she doesn't want to waste any more time. Victor smiles and says hallelujah. She asks if that means he feels the same way. He says absolutely. She laughs. He takes out his phone and she asks who is he calling. He says all of their obstacles are here in Salem so he wants to take her to see the real world. She asks if he wants to leave Salem. He says yes. Maggie has a fit that he hasn't asked what she thinks about his plan. He asks if she's taking back her apology. She goes on about their families and businesses and friends all being in Salem. She turns her back to him and says of course that's not a problem for him since he doesn't have any friends. He asks if he can speak now. She says she doesn't know. He says he's not talking about leaving for good. She cools off and turns around, looking apologetic. He says he was trying to say, in his own ham-fisted way, that he just wants to spend all of his time focused on her. Maggie softens. Victor asks if that would be all right. She says more than all right. After dinner she asks if he'd like a brandy. He says his doctor told him to cut back. Maggie is glad, she wants him to be healthy too. He thinks she's the first woman in his life to feel that way, he can't believe he tried to walk away from her. She says she got scared when he stopped making fun of her for being such a "Horton" and saying he wasn't worthy of her. He jokes that his plan worked then. They laugh together. She says he thinks he's so tough and unsentimental but he's just a mush. He pretends to be offended. She gets serious and says if she hadn't seen that tender heart that beats under all that bluster...her voice shakes as she says she never would have fallen in love again. Victor tenderly says so she's in love. She smiles and, almost crying, says head over heels. He holds her hand and tells her he is too. They kiss.
Later, at Maggie's, Victor stays in the doorway as Maggie goes inside. He says it's late so he probably should let her get some sleep. Maggie supposes so. He's curious that she supposes. She laughs nervously and says she's not really tired, actually she's kind of wound up. She asks what about him. He says he's the same... in a good way. She offers coffee then says that's probably not a good idea since they're already wound up. He comes inside and closes the door. Maggie offers decaf. He says he hates it. Maggie says right. They stand quietly, eyes wandering awkwardly. Maggie steps closer, musters up courage, looks at him and asks him to stay...for breakfast. He smiles and says, "Now you're talkin'." She smiles, holds out her hand and leads him out of the kitchen.
2011-08-04 Maggie, Victor At the mansion, Victor is about to go into the house when his phone rings. He chuckles as he answers, saying, "You can't get enough of me, can you." Maggie is in her kitchen and says he left his cufflinks. He says that means he'll have to come back. She asks if he wants to. He says very much. Maggie says she's looking forward to dinner. He says he is too. They end the call. Maggie holds up the cufflinks and sighs happily.
Victor goes inside and tells Brady that security told him EJ was there. Brady tells him EJ knows he beat him up. Victor asks why isn't Brady dead. Brady says EJ had a gun, his gun that Taylor had taken when she hit him in the head, EJ gave it back and said he wanted to play fair next time. Victor says that's a threat and it's gone far enough, they have to solve this problem once and for all. Brady asks what is he planning. Victor says he'll worry about that. He orders Brady to stay away from EJ. Brady wonders wouldn't EJ have taken him out when he had the chance. Victor says EJ may have had orders to feel him out. Brady says he means Stefano. Victor says he's not worried about EJ. Brady is worried that Victor will be a target. Victor says the whole family already is. Brady asks again about the plan. Victor tells him he'll take care of it.
Meanwhile, Adrienne arrives at Maggie's. She apologizes that Sonny being home has taken so much of her time. Maggie says that's how it should be. Adrienne says as a result she doesn't have any ideas for the Labor Day Fundraiser. Maggie says that's fine. Adrienne, surprised, asks if it really is. Maggie, laughing, says it'll get done. Adrienne looks at suspiciously. Maggie laughs and asks what? Adrienne says the way Maggie is acting and smiling, something is different. Maggie nervously says something is different. Adrienne excitedly asks if she's met someone. Maggie gets serious and says she met him a long time ago. Adrienne realizes it's Victor. Maggie sees Adrienne's expression and asks if it's really that much of a shock. Adrienne tries to find the right words saying, not a shock, just, you know...they always seemed to have something come up between them. Maggie says yes, she had mixed feelings about getting involved with someone, and he did too but for different reasons. She says she felt she would be betraying Mickey, but she worked on that and decided that life is too short to be shut down and sad, she knows Mickey would want her to feel loved and cherished, and Victor makes her feel that way. Adrienne is stunned and doesn't know what to say. Maggie asks her to be happy for her. Adrienne says of course she wants her to be happy. Maggie says she hears a but. Adrienne asks, "Victor Kiriakis?" Magge says she married his nephew. Adrienne says she knows they are like night and day. Maggie says no she doesn't know, Victor has been proving himself a lot lately. She asks Adrienne if anyone told her about how Victor handled the arrogant young man who was hassling Sonny about being gay. Adrienne says Sonny told her that Victor was incredible and supportive. Maggie says he was, and she was reminded of how good and honorable Victor is, and kind and loving. Adrienne says especially to Maggie. Maggie smiles and says he's very caring, but that's not all, they make each other laugh, she feels lighthearted when she's with him. She asks if Adrienne can be happy for her. Adrienne says of course! They hug.
Victor calls Stefano and tells him he wants to put a stop to the bloodshed, an all-out war between them wouldn't accomplish anything. Stefano asks what he's proposing. Victor wants to meet, alone, and put an end to the mess that Brady and EJ started. They agree to meet later tonight.
At home, Maggie talks to the picture of her and Mickey, saying he will always be in her heart. She holds the picture to her chest and says she's convinced herself that this is what he would want for her, to be happy. She sets the picture down and goes to her purse, picks up the cufflinks, drops them in, smiles and inhales deeply.
Victor is talking on the phone with Dimitri, ordering him to the house right away. He says it's happening immediately and he want him in the loop. He hangs up and looks surprised as Maggie comes in. She says she decided to bring his cufflinks over then drive him to dinner. He wishes she'd called first. She says she did, and they have plans. He knows, and is sorry that he has to cancel.
2011-08-05 Maggie, Victor At Kiriakis mansion, Maggie says she's a bit thrown, and hurt. Victor is sorry, but it can't be helped. She asks what can't. He apologizes again. She gets frustrated and tells him to please stop being sorry, she's fine with him cancelling, she understands that things come up. She sighs and starts to say, "But especially..." Sonny interrupts, asking Victor if they can talk. Victor keeps looking at Maggie as he tells Sonny it's not a good time. Sonny says it'll only take... Victor forcefully tells him not now. Sonny is sorry for interrupting. He leaves. Maggie continues what she'd started, saying it's rude and hurtful to cancel but not say why...Especially after...they spent the night together. Victor says he knows, he was there. She says he was very much there! She asks if now he's just going to disappear on her? She says he can forget that, he cannot and will not just blow her off...not without a damn good reason! She tells him to tell her what's goin on. He says he can't be specific, he assures her he will deal with it. Maggie doesn't want to be assured, she wants to be informed, she wants him to stop being cryptic and just tell her what's going on. He thought he'd made it clear that he can't talk about certain aspects of his business, with anyone. He asks if that's no longer acceptable to her. She says it is not and tells him good night. She turns away and starts to leave. He asks her to please wait. She stops and sighs sadly. He turns her around and keeps his hands on her arms as he says she's the best thing that's ever happened to him, by far. He kisses her. He asks if she believes that. She says she believes that he thinks that. She puts her hand on his cheek and, crying, asks if he can tell her if he's in danger. He tells her absolutely not. He says if there was any way he didn't have to do this tonight... She says, "This completely safe, totally harmless whatever it is..." He asks her to keep tomorrow open for him. She says she'll pencil it in in case something else comes up. She says she'll let him get to it. She walks to the door, saying, "This whatever benign, harmless thing is that you have to do." He thanks her for being understanding. She stops and turns back to him. She says she isn't really. She fusses with his jacket and tie as she says she happens to be crazy about him, so she's cutting him some slack. She rubs his chin and says, "This time." He says he'll see her soon. She kisses him quickly, says yeah, and leaves. Victor closes the door and sighs heavily. Maggie stands outside the door and says, "Now it starts. Huh. The lies."
At Maggie's, Melanie wants to know how things are going with Victor. Maggie says they had a dinner date but Victor cancelled and won't tell her why. Melanie says he'll tell her and picks up her phone. Maggie stops her and says she's afraid it's something serious. Melanie gets a panicked look and Maggie asks if she knows something. She tells Maggie that last night EJ was close to figuring out that Brady beat him up, and that Brady said he was going to "handle it." Maggie says that's why Victor cancelled, they're mobilizing.
At the mansion, Victor tells Dimitri he plans to "dangle a couple of very generous proposals" in front of Stefano to get him to calm down. Sonny comes in, apologizes for interrupting again, and asks Victor if he's free now. Victor says he is, he dismisses Dimitri. Sonny tells him he got a job working for the District Attorney, and his father thinks the only reason he got hired is so they can have an insider at the house. Victor knows Sonny is too savvy to get played. Sonny thanks him. Victor says he has every confidence in him, then says he wants to finish the conversation later, he has to go. Sonny asks where he's off to. Victor says he's going to make Sonny's new job easier, at least fix it so he won't have much to do the next few weeks.
Melanie leaves another message for Brady to call her back. Maggie tells Melanie she asked Victor if he was in danger and he said no. Melanie asked if she actually expected him to be honest. Maggie gets mad that she keeps putting herself in a position of... Melanie says of caring too much. Maggie groans. Melanie, unconvincingly even to herself, tells Maggie that maybe they're overreacting and maybe there's a possibility of...of this being... fine. Maggie says either way, they'd just gotten started putting aside all of the feelings that were pulling them apart, and now this, it's no good. Melanie, concerned, asks what she's going to do. Maggie says she's going to find Victor. She gets her purse. Melanie wants to speak but seems unable. Maggie says she is going to ask Victor a direct question and expect a direct and honest answer. She heads out the door just as Melanie finds her voice.
Maggie goes to Victor's and tries to get information out of Dimitri. She plays the girlfriend card but he won't budge other than saying that where the boss went, she doesn't belong. When he gets a phone call he goes into the living room and she pretends to leave then listens in and finds out where Victor is.
At the pier, Stefano puts Marco in position with orders to watch Victor closely. He tells him Kiriakis says he's coming alone but he's a born liar. In another area, Victor looks over the proposal papers, puts them in his jacket pocket and heads out. At the meeting place, Stefano tells Victor it's ironic he chose this place for their meeting, they are standing where the beating happened. Marco is ready, gun drawn. Victor says there's no point in rehashing... Stefano cuts him off saying his son laid here, dying, he almost lost him. Maggie sneaks in behind some crates. Stefano asks if Victor will admit it was his grandson. Victor says he was provoked. Stefano says yes, and he has to pay. Victor reaches into his jacket pocket and says he wants... Maggie cries out to Victor as Marco stands and points his gun. Maggie runs to Victor just as Marco fires. Maggie falls into Victor's arms.
2011-08-08 Maggie, Victor [Replay of the previous final scene.] Maggie feebly tells Victor she was trying to warn him. Stefano looks on in horror. Victor begs Maggie to hold on. Stefano signals Marco to get out of there. Victor yells at Stefano. Maggie struggles to breath while Victor tells her to hold on. Stefano digs his phone out of his pocket while grumbling that it was only a matter of time with all of the enemies Victor has. Victor says Stefano is the only one who would have done this, Maggie's blood is on his hands. Stefano calls 911 and tells them to send an ambulance as fast as possible, then he slinks away. Maggie struggles to breathe and Victor tells her to hang on. He hears sirens and tells her that help is coming. He asks why she came there. She manages to say she thought she could help him.
At the hospital, Maxine alerts Daniel that they're bringing Maggie Horton in, she's been shot. Daniel, Maxine, Melanie and Jennifer rush into the exam room. The EMT tells Daniel Maggie's status. He dismisses them. Daniel tells Melanie he needs a chest tube. Melanie stares at Maggie in shock. Maxine gets the chest tube and works on Maggie. Daniel gets Melanie to snap out of it. He sends her to get blood. He tells Maggie to hang in there. She nods her head and tries to speak. Daniel say they'll get her through this.
Jennifer comes out of the room and sees Victor rubbing his hand. She sees blood and rushes to him, saying she needs to get a doctor. Dazed, he says he's not hurt, it's Maggie, they've gotta save her. He asks her to tell them that they have to save her.
Daniel comes out of Maggie's room and tells Victor that Maggie is stable but there's a bullet lodged in her chest so they have to operate. Victor tells him he has to save her, he has to, he can't lose her. Daniel says they all love Maggie and are going to do everything they can. He goes back to the room. Melanie sees the blood on Victor and says they should check him. He says the blood is Maggie's. Melanie says she's sorry. He stares at his hands and says he is too, he was trying to make peace with Stefano. Melanie asks, "What?" Victor, still dazed, says he called Stefano and they were about to reconcile and...Maggie got in the middle. Melanie asks what he means. He says Maggie was looking for him. He looks confused as he says she wanted to protect him. Melanie says all of this is his fault, Maggie got shot because of him. She gets hysterical and rushes Victor. Jennifer blocks her and Brady pulls her away. She screams it's Victor's fault. Jennifer takes Melanie away. Victor tells Brady and Sonny what he was doing. Brady tells him it's not his fault and Stefano set him up. Victor says it doesn't make any difference if Maggie doesn't make it. Brady says she is going to make it. Victor zones out again and says he and Maggie were going to travel around the world. Brady wonders how they let the DiMeras get them. Maggie is wheeled out, headed for surgery. She calls for Victor. He rushes to her and apologizes. She chuckles and tells him it's not his fault.
2011-08-09 Maggie, Victor Victor wanders around the nurse's station. Melanie tells Jennifer that Maggie taught her what family means. Jennifer is sure that Maggie will fight her way back to everyone that she loves. Daniel runs into trouble in the operating room. Bo and Hope ask Victor what happened. Brady blames the DiMeras and Lexie has a fit but catches herself. She says she wanted to tell them that in the last hour over 100 people have donated blood, but don't let her stop them from spewing hatred and allegations. Jennifer guides Lexie away. Melanie tells Brady to go home. He says he loves Maggie too and he's staying. She tells him then shut up. She asks Lexie for an update on Maggie. Lexie says it's too soon, she's going to go help. Victor barks she'll help to make sure Maggie can't testify against Stefano. Jennifer tells him to stop. Victor protests letting a DiMera in that operating room. Jennifer tells him it's not his call. He says he's looking out for Maggie. Hope tells him she and Jennifer are next of kin and they will make the decisions. Hope and Jennifer thank Lexie. She tells them to pray that she comes out with good news. Victor grumbles that they're sentimental fools. Melanie sarcastically tells Victor that Maggie would be so proud of him right now. Daniel works to save Maggie, the bullet punctured the lung and there's massive internal bleeding. They get the bullet. Lexie looks at the bullet and says it's hollow-point. Daniel says a professional shooter. Lexie gets upset. Daniel can't get her attention. Bo again asks Victor what happened. Victor says all Bo needs to know is that it's all his fault. Lexie finally comes out of it. Maggie flatlines. Bo tries to make Victor tell him what happened. Daniel uses the paddles on Maggie. Bo tells Victor to not talk to anyone. Victor tries to talk to Hope. She tells him she knows, she knows. Sonny asks Victor when he last ate. Victor says he's not hungry. Sonny says that wasn't his question, he doesn't want Victor passing out. Melanie runs up in a panic. Victor asks what happened, don't tell him we lost her. She tells them they had to use the paddles. He asks if Maggie will be okay. She doesn't know, she hurries off. Sonny asks Victor if he's okay. Victor says no, and he won't be until Maggie is. Daniel is doing chest compressions. The nurse says it's been four minutes. Daniel keeps going and tells Maggie to come on. Lexie gets him to stop. Jennifer and Abigail gather things at Maggie's. Victor asks Sonny to let him be alone. He prays for Maggie. Daniel reluctantly orders to mark time of death. The nurse asks if she should shut down. He says they're done. Victor tells Sonny he's been a great help but he needs to be alone right now. Sonny says he'll see if he can get an update. He leaves. Victor says he deserves this, Maggie doesn't, her family doesn't, it should have been him. The nurse notes the time of death at 8:47 pm.
2011-08-10 Maggie, Victor Brady rushes up to Victor and asks if there's any news. Victor tells him about the paddles, he says he's scared. Jennifer comes up, sees they're upset and asks what happened. Brady insists Maggie will be okay, she's strong, she'll be fine. The nurse is about to shut down the monitor when it beeps once. Lexie says there's a fine v-fib. Daniel calls for the paddles. Maggie's heart beats regularly. Daniel thinks they just saw a miracle. Jennifer asks Victor what isn't he telling her. He tells her about the paddles. Jennifer exclaims, "Her heart stopped?" Daniel says they got it going again, removed the bullet and stopped the bleeding. Victor says there's something else. Lexie says she still isn't out of danger. Daniel says due to Maggie's myasthenia gravis, she's been put into a medically-induced coma, there's a possibility that she could come out of remission due to all the trauma and blood loss. Victor yells at him to speak English! Daniel says she might not be able to breath on her own. Lexie says she's on a ventilator. Victor asks for how long. They don't know. Victor wants to see her. Jennifer says he is not going in there. Daniel says nobody is allowed to visit at this time. He tells them all to go home and get rest. Victor says he's not going anywhere. Brady says he'll stay too. Victor says he doesn't need a babysitter. He turns in the chair and winces. He tells Brady to go home and don't try to get revenge. Abigail listens. Victor says he's responsible, he'll take care of it. Later, Victor is still sitting in the waiting area. Daniel asks if he really thinks sitting there instead of sleeping is going to help Maggie. Victor says yes. Daniel tells him to not come asking for muscle relaxants when his back seizes up. Victor's voice shakes as he asks Daniel if his heart, his instincts, tell him that Maggie will recover, it's temporary. Daniel doesn't speak, he looks down. Victor says, "Damn it, lie to me!" Daniel says he would if he thought Victor would buy it. Daniel moves away and calls Melanie and leaves a message for her to rest and come see Maggie tomorrow. A nurse opens the blinds in Maggie's room. Victor goes to the window and watches Maggie. Later, Abigail sees Victor sitting in the waiting area. She sits next to him. She puts her hand on his arm and tells him that if Maggie could talk right now she'd tell him not to blame himself, she'd want him to give himself forgiveness. Victor sighs and says that's one of their many differences, she's more forgiving than him. Abigail says okay, then she would be happy knowing that he's not going after the DiMeras, no matter what he thinks about himself, she thinks he's a really good person, that's why she loves him. Later, Victor sits by Maggie's bed, holding her hand. He says he should never have let her back into his life, she'd be safe now if he'd just walked away. He tells her to know, no matter what, that he loves her. Abigail walks up to the window and watches.
2011-08-11 Maggie, Victor Victor holds Maggie's hand. Justin comes in as Victor says, "I'm not gonna lose you, Maggie Horton, you hear me? I'm not gonna let the DiMeras take you away from me." Justin urges Victor to go home. Victor won't leave, he got her into this mess. Justin says whoever's after him... Victor says he knows who. Justin continues, saying if they are still after him he will be endagering Maggie's life again. Victor will not abandon her. Justin asks, as his attorney, if he's planning revenge, as his nephew, he asks how many more people have to get shot before he changes his ways. Victor tells Maggie he's right there, don't worry. He goes over by Justin and tells him he can only think about Maggie, he can't think about his next step. Justin is glad because the D.A. is all over this. Victor hopes so because an innocent woman got shot in a public place. Justin says to let them handle this, don't do anything about it. Victor says he's a witness, Bo will want him to talk. Justin say to tell him what happened but don't speculate about why, unless he wants to see Brady go to prison. He says yeah, he knows Brady started all of this. Victor claims ignorance. Justin says if he can connect the dots, so can the D.A. Bo comes in and says Justin is right. He asks how Maggie is doing. Victor says the doctors put her in a coma so she can heal. Bo says the D.A. has ordered him to make a case against the DiMeras. Victor says good. Bo wants his word that Victor will let him do his job, and won't do anything to retaliate. Victor can't promise anything, all he can think about is Maggie's recovery. Bo says good. Victor says don't think he's going to forget what they did to her. Bo says he will find the person who put a bullet into Maggie. Victor asks what makes him think he can connect him to Stefano. Bo says because it's his job. Justin asks Victor, if Maggie could speak right now, what does he think she'd want him to do. Justin doubt it would involve exacting revenge on her behalf. Bo says he was at the DiMeras earlier and they are scared, they're hoping this will blow over, so maybe they won't point any fingers, unless Victor goes after them. Victor conceds and asks what they want him to do. Bo tells him to not say anything and if he has to then choose his words carefully, don't talk to anyone about what happened to Maggie or EJ. He tells Victor that Roman took him and Hope off the case for conflict of interest. He tells Victor to just take care of Maggie and do not retaliate. Bo asks if he has Victor's word. Victor looks at Maggie and says he has his word.
2011-08-15 Maggie, Victor Victor, in a new outfit, is sitting by Maggie, holding her hand. He tells her he can't undo it but he will keep it from happening again. He kisses her hand then leaves the room. He tells Daniel that Maggie isn't safe there, he wants to take Maggie to his house, he'll hire round-the-clock care in his home. Daniel says Maggie is in a coma and she had massive internal bleeding, the worst thing would be to move her. Victor is worried the person who shot her will come back. Jennifer suggests he hire private security stationed outside her room. Melanie angrily says it's the least he can do since this is all his fault. Victor says blaming him, or anybody else, won't keep Maggie safe, in his home he can guarantee it. Hope comes along and says he's right. Jennifer says no, Maggie shouldn't be moved. Hope asks, "Moved?" Lexie motions for Jennifer to see her. Jennifer begs Victor to not do this. She steps away. Later, Victor goes into Maggie's room. Melanie is sitting by her, her head on Maggie's leg. She sits up and looks at him. He apologizes for trying to tell everyone what to do. Melanie says it's kind of his way. Victor chuckles and says he's afraid so. She apologizes for jumping on him, she knows this is the last thing he ever would have wanted, they can make sure Maggie is safe here and then she can go to his house to recuperate. Victor likes her plan. Later, Melanie tells Daniel there's a walk-in coming, they're bypassing the ER. It's Chad, being helped by Abigail and EJ. Lexie and Daniel take him to a room. Victor asks EJ if that's what he thinks it is. Later, Victor is sitting by Maggie. Stefano comes in and is taken aback when he sees Maggie. He tells Victor he wants to make peace. Victor asks Stefano what is peace to him. Stefano says no more hurting. Victor asks what he proposes. Stefano says he almost lost another son. He points out that the woman Victor loves is near death. He tells Victor he's ready to end the war. He asks Victor if he is ready.
2011-08-16 Maggie, Victor Victor says, "Ready? Now that Maggie's lying here, now that your sons have been hurt, you wanna know if I'm ready to end the war?" Stefano asks what else is there to prove? Victor says, "Nothing." Stefano says then they agree, put and end to this once and for all. Victor says no, it's much too late. Victor sits down by Maggie. Stefano thinks he should reconsider, an eye for an eye does not work. Kate has come in, she asks Victor to listen to Stefano. Victor says there's no point brokering a peace in name only. Kate says it's more than name only after everything that's happened. Lexie and Hope come in. Lexi says she has Maggie's Living Will. Victor asks what she's talking about. Hope, crying, tells him it's not her choice, it's Maggie's, they have no choice but to honor it. Victor stammers, saying they can challenge in court, get a delay. He turns to Maggie and says, "God, this can't be happening." Hope asks the others to let her have some time with Victor. They leave. She says she can't process this. She'll give Victor a few moments alone. She says she knows he loves her, he made Maggie very happy. Hope kisses Maggie and says she loves her. She leaves. Victor sits and holds Maggie's hand. He says he tried to shield her from this, he was naive to think he could, it's too high a cost. Hope and Lexie come in. Victor stammers trying to ask what she does. Lexie says she removes the tube and they wait. She asks them to step outside. Victor approaches Stefano and Kate. She says there's a chance Maggie will breath on her own. Victor says and a chance she won't. Stefano is very sorry. Victor asks if he is. Stefano wishes he'd reconsider. Victor says, "The woman that I love is dying. Your peace offering and reassurance of safety is the last thing I care about now." He walks away. He and Hope go back into the room. Hope cries. Victor watches Maggie. Lexie listens for breathing. She looks at Victor. Hope cries, "No!" Victor says softly, "Maggie, please don't go." He sits and holds her hand. He begs her. Lexie is about to check when Maggie moves and inhales. Victor calls to her. Lexie says she's breathing on her own. Victor tells Maggie he's here, everything's going to be all right now. Hope asks if it's reals. Lexie says it is. Hope runs out to tell everyone. Lexie says she has to go order tests. Victor strokes her hair and says, "Everything's gonna be all right now, darling. No one is gonna hurt you again. I promise." Maggie moans and moves her mouth. Victor asks if she can hear him. She doesn't respond. He says in case she can, he wants her to know something, he loves her, he loves her so much! She squeezes his hand. He says he's right here. Her eyes flutter. He says it's great to see her eyes again. She smiles faintly. She struggles to say she loves him too. Victor says he'll keep her safe. She tries to speak. He says she has plenty of time to answer him. She is able to tell him to make peace.
2011-08-22 Maggie, Victor Victor comes into Maggie's room. She smiles and says, "Hey big fella!" He thought she was sleeping, she's supposed to be getting rest. She says it's hard to sleep when she's worried. He asks what about, is she in pain? She needs him to do something for her. He tells her to name it. She tells him to make peace with Stefano. He says she keeps asking him to do the one thing he's sworn to never do. She says he was ready to before. He says Stefano was lying, the bullet that got her was meant for him. Maggie says he doesn't know that for sure. He says no, but he's not going to make a deal with Stefano. She says this has to end. He says it would be like saying he doesn't care about what happened to her. Maggie says she doesn't want anyone else hurt because she was shot. She asks if that matters to him. Victor sighs. He says she's been fighting for her life, she doesn't understand the whole situation. She says she understands more than he thinks. Melanie comes in with a tray and says she can come back. Victor tells her she's waited long enough. He gets up, rubs Maggie's arm and goes across the room. Melanie says she was scared. Maggie says she was too. Melanie says she can't lose her. Maggie promises not to go anywhere. Melanie hugs her, gives her her medicine and says she'll be back to check on her soon. She goes out. Victor sits down and says she's like a daughter to her. Victor tells her that Chad was shot in the arm. Maggie asks if he's okay. Victor say yes, and he thinks it was a wake-up call for Stefano. Maggie hopes so and wonders if his offer to make peace was genuine. Victor says watching her with Melanie made him realize that life is too short and the people they love are too important, he needs to get over himself. She asks what that means. He says things have to change, he promises. Outside, Victor is impressed that Sonny put together a meeting. Justin asks if he's in. Victor says an hour he wasn't but he's changed his mind. EJ and Chad arrive. Victor asks about Stefano. Chad is pretty sure he's not coming. Victor says so this was a bluff. Chad says they don't know where Stefano is. Sonny says they'll have to make it work without him. Brady shows up. Sonny says he and Chad were with Brady and EJ the night Maggie got shot. The meeting was real and they both want this to end. Chad says when he got shot, Stefano realized how stupid this was and wants it to end. EJ confirms. Victor says it would be nice to hear Stefano say that. Justin says his sons have spoken for him, everyone wants the same thing. Brady asks if they're missing a detail, the DiMeras shot Maggie, how can they believe them. Melanie asks shouldn't Maggie have a say in all this? She apologizes for interrupting but if Maggie is the issue then she should have a say. Brady agrees but it's hard to believe them without Stefano there. Sonny asks Victor if they can see Maggie. Victor says he'll ask her, and they'll keep it civilized, she's recovering but badly hurt. They all go into Maggie's room. She asks Victor what's going on. He tells her they all have something to say to her. He suggests someone stand by the door so they don't get interrupted. Justin says he will, his son can speak for him. He tells Maggie she's looking much better. She thanks him. Sonny says they won't stay long, what happened to her has changed everything, she brought a lot of people to their senses. Maggie says good. Victor says the youngest members of both families have made them think. Sonny says, "I will not be the one to break the peace." Chad repeats, then Victor and EJ. Brady says he won't either, for what it's worth. Stefano has come in and says it's worth quite a bit. He goes to Maggie's bedside. She smiles. He tells Victor he understands they are talking about making peace. Victor says yes. Stefano says to count him in. Later, everyone else has gone. Victor asks Maggie if she feels better. She says much, she asks what really made him change his mind. He tells her it was her coming back to him. He says, "I have something tonight that I didn't have yesterday, something I didn't even think about before I fell in love with you." He holds her hand and says, "I have faith. What a concept." They chuckle. He wants her to close her eyes and go to sleep. He says, "Up until a few hours ago... I didn't even think there'd be a tomorrow."
2011-08-31 Maggie, Victor At Kiriakis mansion, Melanie helps Maggie in her room. Later, Victor is chatting with Kate in the living room. Maggie comes in just as Kate asks Victor if he's ready to jump back into bed with his ex-wife. Maggie clears her throat. Victor gets up and goes to her. Kate says she had no idea she was here. Maggie had gathered that. She tells Victor she'll go back to her room. Kate, shocked, asks, "Your room?" Victor says she's privy to anything he discusses in this house. Kate, shocked again, says, "Wow. Isn't that a refreshing change of pace." She laughs and asks Maggie if she's living there now. Maggie says while she recuperates. Victor hopes to spoil her rotten so she'll never want to leave, that would be a dream come true for him. He kisses her cheek. Later, Brady has joined them. Maggie listens while Kate talks about a Countess Wilhelmina Cosmetics. Maggie thinks it's wonderful. She tells Kate that she and Alice believed in Countess Wilhelmina way back, they were Billie's original investors. Kate remembers that and she spoke to Bilie and she gave her blessing to use the name. Maggie says wonderful. Kate asks Victor and Brady if they have questions. Victor asks why she's bringing this to him instead of to her husband. Kate says she wants this to be her independent project. Victor says it's a load of horse manure, she's here because Stefano turned her down. Kate repeats that she wants this to be her project. Victor grills her about Stefano. She tells him again, she wants the project to be hers. Maggie says, "Oh, brother!" She eyes Kate, who looks at Maggie while saying that Stefano will understand that this is business. Brady says it's big business, he wants to talk to the lawyers. Victor isn't interested. He apologizes to Kate. She asks if he's trying to get her to lower her price. He says no, it's not a good fit for Titan. Brady disagrees. Victor says then they disagree. Brady says he has the power to veto his decision. Victor says to trust him, this is not a good fit. Kate asks if he's worried about Stefano. Victor says she's not hearing him, they decline. Kate says he's making a huge mistake. Maggie tells her she won't get them to change their minds. She walks Kate out. Brady wants to know why Victor passed on a profitable business. Victor tells him he has something much bigger in mind, watch and learn.
