her. Gus is confused and suggests perhaps Vivian could better compete against Maggie by spending more time at home instead of in the mausoleum. Vivian says her home may as well be a mausoleum because of Maggie, but once she's dispensed with Maggie, she'll make the mansion a lovenest. Vivian confirms with Gus that he found a handwriting expert so she can forge letters from Maggie to Victor and anyone else who might miss her. Gus asks about Maggie not showing up at her planned destination. Vivian says she will but she'll be out of her mind and have no memory. Dictating into a recorder, Vivian is concocting a letter from Maggie to Victor. Gus loudly clears his throat and reminds her to make it sound as if Maggie actually wrote it. She groans and starts over. Gus hangs his head in defeat. Later, Vivian is alone and dictating a letter to Melanie. Brady comes in and asks what she's doing. Vivian tells him the sarcophagus is for his mother. Brady says she's the strangest person he's ever met. He asks if his grandfather agreed to this. Vivian says he likes the idea. Brady says he does not. He orders her to get rid of the sarcophagus and leave his mother alone.
At the mansion, Victor looks at pictures of the sarcophagus and grumbles about Vivian when Maggie shows up looking for Brady. He tells her he doesn't know where Brady is and asks if anything is wrong. Maggie says she wanted to ask Brady for a ride to a meeting tomorrow. Victor says she's lying and she's as worried about Brady as he is. Maggie did not realize that Victor is worried about Brady. He asks her if she knows Brady is drinking. Maggie says, as his sponsor, she can't talk about that. Victor says she really came over because she's worried about Brady. Victor asks how do they help him. She says Brady needs to want to help himself. Maggie eyeballs the pictures and suggests he try to not overwhelm Brady emotionally. He surmises she doesn't approve of the memorial. Maggie is sure Vivian means well. Victor knows Maggie doesn't really believe that. Maggie worries this is causing Brady to feel the loss of his mother all over again. Victor says Vivian only cares about scoring points with him. Maggie smiles and asks if it's working. Victor chuckles and says what works is when someone looks out for his grandson. Maggie says that makes it awkward for her to tell him what she came here to tell Brady. She's thinking about going away for awhile. Victor looks disappointed. Maggie explains that she hasn't wanted to go anywhere that she and Mickey had gone to together. Victor says it must have been difficult finding a restaurant. She says she even had a hard time eating at the kitchen table and has been eating a lot of Thai food, which Mickey hated. Victor says he's sorry then stammers trying to say he understands. Maggie says she knows. She says she came across the brochures for the cruise she and Mickey had planned, so she decided she should go now. Victor struggles for words and finally says he thinks that's lovely. Maggie is speechless then says she's never heard him call anything lovely. He backtracks and tells her he hates the whole idea and doesn't want her to go. Maggie is surprised again. Maggie knows why he doesn't want her to go. Victor is curious. She tells him not to worry, she will make sure that Brady is in good hands. Victor says there are other reasons. Maggie admonishes him. He asks her to think about it. She says okay. Victor's cell phone rings. He takes the call, speaking bruskly. He ends the call and she asks if it's bad news. He says it's business, excuses himself and leaves abruptly.
At the pier, Stefano and Kate wonder where their launch is. Victor appears and says he told the driver to come back later. He tells Stefano he just found out he has caused a shipment of fragile, valuable artwork to be delayed for weeks in customs. Stefano says his cargo was more valuable. Kate asks Victor if he's going to retaliate. Victor flashes back to his conversation with Rafe then tells Stefano and Kate that he believes he already has. Stefano asks what he has done. Victor says he heard about the failed wedding and now he and Kate are "taking a little boatride" while EJ is alone and crying. He asks Stefano what has Kate done to him, he used to care about his children. Kate tells him to shut up. Victor says Stefano has violated the terms of their agreement and he better correct that. Stefano scoffs and asks, "Or what?" Victor tells him he doesn't want to know. Stefano looks past Victor as Maggie walks up and says she wants to know.
2010-09-03 Maggie, Victor, VivianAt the mausoleum, Brady comes in and asks Vivian what she's doing. Vivian tells him the sarcophagus is for his mother. Brady asks what she's talking about, she's the strangest person he's ever met. He asks if his grandfather agreed to this. Vivian says he likes the idea. Brady says he doesn't and he wants her to get it out and leave his mother alone. Vivian says she should have cleared this through him. She was trying to proof herself worthy to Victor and to him. She asks him to understand. He says if his grandfather approves then it must be alright. He leaves. Later, Gus comes in with cassettes for the recorder. She tells him about Brady being there and being very angry. Gus is worried that Brady will find out that his mother's remains are now in a pet cemetery. Vivian says Brady will not find out. Vivian says Brady won't find out. Isabella is resting in heaven and Maggie Horton will be where she belongs.
At the pier, Victor tells Maggie that he and Stefano had a little disagreement but it's settled now. Maggie says it didn't sound settled, more like they were threatening each other. Victor says they're "just two old men posturing." Stefano agrees. He sees the launch arriving. He and Kate leave. Maggie gives Victor a look and he asks, "What?" She asks if all the "posturing" had to do with the phone call he got. Victor explains briefly what it was about then asks if she followed him. She said his phone rang and suddenly her friend became a different person. She wanted to find out who that other person is. He says it was dangerous for her to come here alone. She says she can take care of herself. He says she shouldn't have to. Maggie asks what he means by that. He asks if she really wants to travel the world alone. Maggie says he can order Stefano around but not her. Victor says he just means what's the fun of traveling around Europe alone. Maggie angrily says the man she wants to travel with is gone! Sadly, she says she needs to accept that. Victor starts to say he's just asking as a friend. She cuts him off, asking if she really is a friend or if he's just using her as a way to mess with Vivian. Victor says she's suddenly got a very low opinion of him. Maggie says she decided tonight that she doesn't really know him and if he wants out of his marriage then tell Vivian but leave her out of it. She leaves.
The next day, at Maggie's, Brady has shown her how to fix a fuse. She asks if he has time to chat. Brady asks if she blew the fuse on purpose and asks if she thinks he's drunk. She asks if he's going to drink today. He says he isn't going to do any drugs, he can handle himself with alcohol. She's concerned because he's had some tough times lately. He says it's not all bad, he just heard that Chloe is pregnant with Daniel's baby. Maggie says she's sorry. Brady says he's happy for Chloe, things didn't work out for her and him and she deserves to be happy. He says Maggie is sweet to care about him but she doesn't really know him. Maggie says she does because she has been him. She explains that when life got tough for her she thought drinking would fix it. He says he understands. She says he doesn't or he wouldn't be drinking, getting high is getting high. She tells him to remember what the program says about staying away from people and things that make him want to drink. He says she doesn't have to lecture him about Nicole, she's out of his life. She says not Nicole, she's talking about Victor. She explains that Victor is charming, smart and funny, but there is a lethal part of him that is always lurking. Brady says he won't hurt him, he loves him. Maggie says he also wants to own Brady, it's how Victor is. Brady says he can hold his own. Maggie asks if he means by drinking, she says Victor is a problem for him and that's why he's drinking. He asks what is he supposed to do. She says he needs to not be around Victor, get a job, one that he chooses for himself, and move out. Brady says Victor would not agree with what she's saying. Maggie doesn't care, Brady will struggle with this all his life, he has to realize that. She says she's been reading about ancient Greeks since she's gotten to know Victor. She mentions the Greeks waited outside of Troy for 10 years, waiting to win. She tells him not to give up.
At the mansion, Gus brings the forged letters to Vivian. He's concerned that she's not bothered about her plan for Maggie. She tells him to stop getting sentimental. She shoos him out before Victor sees him there. She's checking the letters when Victor wanders in and asks what she's reading. She says it's just legal papers from her lawyer. He tells that her things are heating up with Stefano and he wants to send her to Tahiti to be safe. Vivian is delighted, thinking this means he cares about her. Victor says he's only trying to avoid collateral damage. She says she can't leave until she's finished with the memorial for Isabella. He says that can wait. She's thrilled that he's so concerned about her. He tells her to pack her bags, she's leaving today.
2010-09-07 Maggie, Victor, VivianVictor tells Brady that things are heating up with Stefano so he's sending Vivian to Tahiti to be safe. Brady laughs and wonders if Victor started a fight with Stefano as an excuse to get rid of Vivian. Victor says this isn't funny, it's very real and he thinks Brady should get out of town too. Brady offers his help. Victor asks what about his famous principles. Vivian comes to the door and backs away to listen undetected. Brady says he hates EJ DiMera more than he loves his principles. He asks Victor what his good friend Maggie will think about him fighting with Stefano again. Victor asks why he mentioned Maggie. Brady tells him he'd just seen her and she mentioned him. Victor cheers up and asks what she said about him. Brady says she warned him about Victor. Victor thinks that's amusing. Brady says she said to be afraid of Greeks bearing gifts, she's not fooled by Victor. Brady warns him that if he's making up excuses to get rid of Vivian so he can go after Maggie, she'll know it. Victor says Brady doesn't know what he's talking about. Brady says he knows Victor's track record with women and if he treats Maggie the way he's treated the others she will "nail him." Brady warns him that if Maggie doesn't then he will. Victor frowns.
Later, Brady is gone and Vivian is still lurking. Victor paces then calls Maggie and apologizes if he's called too early. Vivian gets upset. Maggie says it's not too early, in fact Brady was just there. She asks if they talked. Victor says he didn't call about Brady, he was thinking about what she walked in on at the pier. She says she has too. He says he thinks it's a good idea for her take that trip, there might be retaliations from Stefano against people that are important to him. Vivian shakes her head. Victor says he doesn't want her to get hurt and he will miss her. Vivian looks pained. Maggie hesitates then says she hadn't decided to change her plans. He tells her to be safe. They hang up. Vivian is disgusted.
Later, Vivian tells Victor she won't leave his side at a time like this, they said "for better or worse." He says they did not! She says she did in her heart. She also needs to make sure that Isabella's transfer is handled with dignity. Victor grumbles, "Fine!" Vivian says she intends for the love of his life to be exactly where she should be. Victor eyes her suspiciously.
2010-09-08 Maggie, Victor, VivianAt home, Maggie is checking flights on the computer when Victor calls again. At the mansion, Vivian lurks while Victor asks Maggie if he can come over so they can talk about the foundation. Maggie tells him it's not a good time. He says he understands and they'll talk later. She hangs up and tells herself she is going on the trip. Victor leaves. Vivian stews, "It's always Maggie, well, not for long." Melanie arrives home at Maggie's and they talk about her trip. Melanie thinks it would be scary going alone. Maggie guesses so. She looks at the pictures of her and Mickey. She guess so but she can handle it. Maggie asks Melanie what's bothering her. When Melanie says Vivian is trying to get back into her life, Maggie says she thinks it her fault.
2010-09-09 Maggie, Victor, VivianAt Maggie's, Melanie asks Maggie why it's her fault that Vivian is being "all gooey" with her. Maggie says she and Victor are friends and it makes Vivian jealous. Maggie thinks Vivian is trying to force herself into the family so Victor will see her as a better person. Maggie tells Melanie that Vivian will calm down after she's gone on her trip. Melanie is still sad that Maggie will be away. Maggie says she's booking the trip today because it's important. Melanie thinks the real reason she's so eager to go on the trip because of Victor. Maggie insists it isn't. Melanie doesn't believe her, something had to have happened between them, why else would Vivian feel she needs to "mark her territory." Maggie says her trip has nothing to do with Victor and this subject is closed. She goes upstairs.
At the mansion Vivian tells Philip that she cares and is proud to be part of the family. Philip yells at her that nobody cares about her. She says nobody will give her another chance, except for Victor. Philip says she tried to kill his wife and now she's come up with this ludicrous idea, "You can't fix a marriage made in Hell by moving dead bodies around!" Victor comes in, asking what's going on. Philip says he's been telling Vivian to stay away from his wife and out of his life. Vivian says she only has the family's best interests at heart. Philip says she doesn't have a heart. Vivian rushes out of the room in tears and goes up to her room. She says she does care about Philip and Victor, aside from Lawrence they are all she has, and that's why Maggie Horton is going on a long trip to nowhere. Downstairs, Philip asks Victor why Vivian is still there. Victor tells him not to ask questions he can't answer. Philip says Victor can but won't. Philip tells him there has to be somebody out there that Victor can really love. Philip sighs and walks out.
Maggie is alone in the kitchen. She looks at the picture of herself with Mickey and says she's going on the trip for them, not for whatever silly stuff is going on with Victor. She taps a key on the computer and says she's booked her trip! Later, Maggie comes to Daniel's with a baby gift. Melanie joins them. Daniel tells Maggie that Melanie is planning a shower. Melanie wishes Maggie could be there. She hugs Maggie. Melanie gets a phone call and goes out of the room. Daniel is curious about where she's going and for how long. Maggie struggles when telling him it's the trip she and Mickey had planned to take right before he died. She fights crying and asks why he's looking at her that way. Daniel fears he's being presumptuous but he doesn't think doing this will help and it will probably be difficult for her. She understands because he lost his wife. She thinks he might be right. He asks if there's some other reason for her leaving town.
At the mausoleum, Gus is very worried about putting Maggie in the coffin. Vivian says he sounds like a broken record. She says she's not trying to kill anyone, she's just playing with Maggie. Gus questions "playing" when she's planning to drive her insane. Vivian says it's because Maggie is throwing herself at her husband.
At the mansion, Victor "orders" Ciara to have fun today. She smiles and hurries for the door. Victor trots after her.
2010-09-10 Maggie, Victor, VivianAt the mausoleum, Vivian is gloating about her plan. Gus is still worried the plan might backfire, her absence might cause Mr. Kiriakis' heart to grow fonder. Vivian says he will give up after weeks of not hearing from the "old wretch." Gus asks what he doesn't give up. Vivian calls him "Mr. Gloom and Doom." She says there is a direct video feed into her bedroom and Maggie will go insane having to watch her seduction of Victor. And if not, the toxic paint inside the coffin will do it. Gus asks if then she'll set her free. Vivian says she will. She makes Gus get into the coffin so she can test its sound-proofing. She's pleased that it works and nobody will know Maggie is in there. Gus gets out and insists that Vivian cannot go through with this. Vivian starts to scold him when Carly walks in. Vivian says this is private property, she's trespassing. Carly tells her then call the cops. Vivian says if she won't leave, she'll have her removed. Gus slowly approaches Carly from behind and Carly pushes him away, asking Vivian if she means by him? She reminds Gus about the last time when he ended up on the floor. She tells Vivian she's not going anywhere.
At Daniel's, Maggie is about to
not answer Daniel's question when Melanie returns, complaining she can't get a caterer. Maggie tells her Chez Rouge can do it. Daniel slinks away. Melanie is happy then is sad that Maggie can't help her plan the shower. Maggie says her plans are flexible, she could stay and help. Melanie wishes she wouldn't go on the trip at all. Maggie says she won't be gone forever.
In the park, Victor and Ciara are playing checkers. Maggie comes along and quietly backs out of sight. She listens as Ciara says she misses her mommy. She doesn't like Carly and wants to live with Victor. He tenderly tells her how much her dad needs her with him. Ciara says she loves Victor and he says he loves her. Maggie smiles and quietly leaves.
Melanie tells Daniel she's worried about how much Maggie misses Mickey, sometimes late at night she can hear Maggie talking to Mickey and crying, it's awful. Daniel says not to worry, Maggie is tough and will be okay.
Later, at the mansion, Victor and Ciara are there when Daniel arrives. Ciara goes off to the kitchen to make cookies with Grandma Julie. Daniel tells Victor Ciara seems to be doing okay. Victor says she'd be better if her mother were home...and if her Aunt Maggie weren't abandoning her. Daniel says that's unfair. Victor says no, Ciara needs all the family support she can get. Daniel says then it's a good thing Maggie has delayed her trip. Victor perks up. Daniel explains that Melanie guilted her into staying for a little while to help with the shower. Victor says that's great news, he's glad...for Ciara's sake, she'd miss her a lot. Daniel wonders if she's not the only one.
When Maggie gets home, she thinks about Victor and says he can be a pain... arrogant and selfish... stubborn, but deep down... a real good man. She smiles and closes her eyes in thought then quickly opens them wide, scolding herself... he's married and it's so, so wrong! Melanie comes in and wants to talk about the shower. Maggie apologizes and says she's changed her mind, she has to go on her trip as planned, it's important for herself. Melanie wonders if Victor has upset her. Maggie repeats that this has nothing to do with Victor. Melanie is disappointed in her. Melanie says this isn't her business. Maggie says she's right. Melanie says she always taught her not to run away from a problem and it looks like she's running away. Maggie says that's how Melanie should live her life but don't expect her to follow her own advice. Melanie asks if Maggie and Victor are getting serious. Maggie emphatically denies it, turns away and tells herself it can't be. Melanie thinks Maggie protests too much. Maggie says Victor is married! Melanie is sure in a marriage, both parties have to be human. Maggie says that doesn't change the fact that Victor married her of his own free will. Melanie says they both know he did not. She tells Maggie she's running away, she's afraid of her feelings.
2010-09-13 Maggie, VivianAt Maggie's, Melanie says Maggie is afraid of her feelings for Victor. Someone knocks on the door and Melanie teases that it's probably Victor come to tell her he's going to get a quickie divorce. Maggie says she has a vivid imagination. She opens the door and is surprised to see Brady. He says he's there about something pretty important. Melanie will leave them to talk alone. She tells Maggie to think about it. Brady asks what that's about. Maggie says nothing. He says he thinks he needs to be at Vivian's memorial for his mother... at least for Grandfather's sake, but it's weird, he doesn't think his grandfather wants it. Brady says he'd get through it better if Maggie was there. Maggie says she wishes she could but she can't, she's leaving town. Brady is concerned about her leaving suddenly. She dodges and gives him the name of someone he can call if needed. Brady says he came there worried about himself but now he's worried about her. Maggie is sorry, but she has to leave.
At the mansion, Gus tells Vivian that he refuses to be part of her plan against Maggie. Vivian doesn't take him seriously. She gives him remotes that are linked to the coffin. He says she's gone too far. He puts them down, repeats that he won't help her with this and starts to leave. Vivian stops him and tries to bribe him to stay. He says she can't buy him. He storms out. She yells after him then says it's just as well. She gets her phone and makes a call.
Brady is drinking at the pub when Melanie comes in. They talk about their mutual concern for Maggie. Brady starts getting very angry that Maggie is being pushed out of town. He tells Melanie she can finish his drink. He storms out.
Maggie chats with Melissa on the phone, telling her she's fighting the urge to drink. She needs to go away so she can figure out her feelings for Victor.
Vivian is in the mausoleum talking on the phone with someone who will help her kidnap Maggie. After the call, she's relishing in thoughts of Maggie being in the coffin. Brady comes in, looks at the open coffin, sees the monitor and asks what she's up to.
2010-09-14 Maggie, VivianAt Maggie's, Bo and Ciara wonder what Aunt Maggie's secret is. Maggie comes in with a costume for Ciara. She tells her to make sure her daddy takes lots of pictures. Ciara is sad that her mom and now Maggie won't be at her skating recital. Maggie hugs her. Bo tries to comfort Ciara. Later, Maggie apologizes that she has to take some things back to the hospital before she goes on her trip.
At the mausoleum, Brady tells Vivian she went too far using his mother. She suggests they go outside for fresh air. He grabs her when she starts to leave and insists she tell him her plan, then they'll go talk to Victor. Vivian makes up a story that there was a delay in the transfer but she didn't tell them so they wouldn't get upset. Brady checks out the modifications to the sarcophagus and says it looks like she's planning to put a live person in there. He warns her about doing this sort of thing
again and it won't turn out well for her. He asks who is she planning on putting in the coffin. Vivian says she has not committed a crime. He laughs and says he's not going to the police, he's going straight to Victor. She starts to leave and picks up her purse. Brady grabs her arm and her purse dumps out. He picks up envelopes, looks at the letters and tells her she's worse than he thought, she's sick for planning to put Maggie in there. Brady rants and taunts her about everybody cares about Maggie, Victor is nuts about her and Vivian will never understand any of it. He says the one person Victor cared the most about was Isabella. He goes to Isabella's interment niche and notices it's been opened. Vivian has picked up an urn and comes up behind him. Brady asks what she did with his mother. She swings the urn and hits him in the back of the head. He falls to the floor, knocked out. Vivian says he's about to join his mother.
At the hospital, Melanie is leaving the locker room just as Maggie walks up. Maggie asks why she's at the hospital so late, then she sees Nathan is sleeping on a cot. She asks Melanie if it's wise for them to work together so many hours. Later, Maggie gets a phone call from Gus but the connection keeps breaking up. She only hears a few phrases, he's resigned and is leaving town. The last he says is "Just watch out."
2010-09-15 Maggie, VivianVivian kneels down by Brady and raises the urn but stops herself, saying she can't kill him there. She finds her phone and tries to call Gus but can't get the phone working. She starts to leave but Brady grabs her leg. He bullies her and demands to know what she's really done with his mother. She says she moved Isabella into Victor's crypt. He starts to drag her away to take her to the police. She desperately tries to get her purse but he stops her and finds a receipt from a pet cemetery. He asks if that's where she put his mother. She starts to tell him it's in a lovely area. He growls at her to run for her life. Vivian runs out the door and Brady chases after her. He drags her back inside and she asks him what he's going to do with her. He tells her to take a guess.
Maggie is home when Melanie comes in. Maggie asks if something is bothering her. Melanie tells her she heard Nathan talking in his sleep, he said "I love you Stephanie." Maggie asks if that upset her. She says sort of but because she doesn't think Stephanie is the right girl for him. Maggie gently tells her it doesn't matter what she thinks, it not for her to decide things for Nathan, she has to let Nathan choose his own happiness and make his own mistakes. Melanie says it's good advice, too bad she doesn't follow it. Melanie asks if she really thinks taking the trip alone that she and Mickey planned will make her feel better. Maggie says she has to get away. Melanie says it's because of Victor. Maggie tells her she respects the sanctity of marriage. Melanie says his marriage is a sick joke. Maggie asks if she really wants her to be a homewrecker. Melanie says of that home, yes, she wants her to be a vixen and use every trick she has, and she's sure Maggie knows a few. Maggie shuffles uncomfortably and crosses her arms. Melani says she knows Maggie would never do that. She asks Maggie to at least think about what she really wants and not be afraid to listen to the answer. Maggie says she's tired. She thanks Melanie for caring about her happiness. They hug and Maggie goes upstairs.
2010-09-16 Maggie, Victor, VivianBrady sits on the closed sarcophagus. Vivian, inside, cries out for Brady to let her out. He taunts her then shuts down the video feed. He gathers up her stuff and leaves. One of her earrings is on the floor next to the sarcophagus. Vivian cries for Brady to let her out.
At Kirakis mansion, Maggie approaches the front door, hesitates and gives herself a pep talk. She grimaces, prays that Vivian isn't home and rings the bell. Henderson lets Maggie in and says Victor will be home soon. Brady comes in and figures she's there to see Victor. Maggie says yes and she's sure everyone is tired of hearing her be on and off about her trip, but she's going to postpone postpone it again. Brady is happy about it. She says she realized she has so many things to do including coming to Isabella's rededication. He thanks her and excuses himself to go get ready for work. She asks if he can stay for one more minute and tells him about the "fizzy" phone call from Gus that he's leaving town and for her to "watch out." She wonders if he might know what it could be about. Victor comes in and asks about what.
Meanwhile, Vivian curses Gus for leaving her then hopes that he will come to his senses and come save her.
Maggie tells Victor about the phone call. He figures Vivian finally pushed Gus too far. Maggie doesn't agree. She says something in his voice was "off." Victor says he can call Vivian and ask her. Brady interjects, saying Victor can't do that. Victor asks about Brady's reaction. Brady covers, saying she's busy getting the tribute ready so they should distract her. Victor says it's just one question. Brady snarks, "Fine, whatever, who cares?" Maggie says she does and pleads they not involve Vivian. She doesn't want Vivian to get mad and take it out on Gus. She tells Victor even though he thinks Gus is an idiot, she thinks he's a "fairly nice guy." [LOL She so totally does not mean that!] Brady agrees. Victor says, "Fine. Whatever." Brady leaves. Victor asks what she had to tell him. Maggie says she's postponing her trip and he
is the main reason.
They sit on the couch and Victor, smiling yet arms folded across his chest, asks Maggie if he dares to be flattered that she is postponing her trip because of him. Maggie smiles and tells him to dare away. He says he feels the same. She notes she'd never told him how she feels. He asks if she will now. She says she likes being with him and thinks he's funny. He teases, "That's it? Just funny?" Smiling, she tells him he's kind, at least to her. He says she's easy to be kind to. She warns not always. He says except when she's giving him a hard time. Chuckling, she counters with it being easy to do that. He admits that he enjoys when she's telling him off. She playfully says she will tell him off more often. She giggles. [FYI, These two have not stopped smiling this whole time!] He says he's happy she's staying. She says she is too, then gets serious and tells him they need to set boundaries. [Victor's arms are still crossed in defense.] He groans that he hates that word. Maggie hates using it but he is a married man and this confuses her. She thought she'd had it figured out why he would marry such a hateful person. Victor quips that Vivian is crazy about Maggie too. Maggie jokes that she'd noticed. Serious again, she says she'd assumed he was protecting his family, which she's never understood. Victor sighs. Maggie asks if he could please explain to her why he is willing to spend the rest of his life with that "awful, awful" woman. He tells her it's complicated. Maggie says she can handle complicated. He says she knows it was never about love. She says everybody knows that. She sighs and says since he won't open up to her then she will to him. She explains how she's struggling with adjusting to Mickey being gone, her grieving keeps going around in circles. Victor says he's sorry. Maggie explains that even if Victor was single she's just not ready to move on and may never be ready. Victor finally lowers his arms. He tells her he's confused. Maggie says she is too and needs his friendship. She says he cheers her up just by being himself but it just isn't the right time for them.
Brady is in Vivian's bedroom, harassing her through the video feed. She pleads her case about where she put Isabella. He says she does nothing but terrorize his family so all he wants now is for her to suffer. He tells her to have a drink and throws his glass at the camera.
2010-09-17 Maggie, Victor, VivianVivian begs Brady to stay and listen to her. She's grateful to him for putting her in the coffin and allowing her time to realize she should be a better person. Isabella would be proud of him and she would want him to let her out now.
He disagrees, she keeps begging. He tells her Gus left town and he called Maggie with a warning. She tells him about the toxic fumes so he has to let her out. He doesn't care. She tells him if she's not at the memorial then people will wonder. Brady gets an idea and turns off the video feed.
Victor angrily starts to tell Maggie if her reason is because of Vivian but Maggie cuts him off, saying it's about Vivian
and Mickey. Another time maybe, but now, they simply can't be together, except as friends and he has to accept that. Victor vehemently says he will never accept that. Frustated, Maggie starts to leave, saying she has explained it to him. He says he knows, only friends, she's still mourning... She urgently says he is still married! He exclaims, "Who I don't love. Never did, never will!" He reminds her she wants them to be honest to each other and that's what he's doing now. He will never accept that they can't be together but he will honor her request. He doesn't like it and wishes deeply that it could be otherwise. Maggie apologizes that it is what it is. She tells him she'll be at the memorial then hurries out. Outside, Maggie tells herself it's the right thing to do, looks back then walks away. Inside, Victor looks at the wedding picture of him and Vivian and frowns.
Later, Brady comes downstairs. Victor is frustrated that he hasn't gotten an email reply yet from China. Brady reminds him that it's 3a.m. there. Victor notices Brady is upset and tells him he understands if he doesn't want to go to the memorial. Brady says he's fine and he'll be there. He goes back upstairs. He comes into Vivian's room with a laptop, turns on the video feed and tells her he has a plan. He's going to send an email to everyone that explains her absence. He taunts her by saying out loud what he's typing. She says Victor won't believe it came from her. Brady disagrees and tells her to stop interrupting him. He finishes and sends the email.
Brady goes back downstairs, ready to leave for the memorial. Victor thinks, despite the other things Vivian has done, she did good with the memorial. Brady says he'll remember to thank her. Brady tells him he should check again for that email from China. Victor finds an email from Vivian and exclaims he doesn't believe it.
2010-09-20 Maggie, Victor, VivianAt Maggie's, she tells Melanie and Philip that she's decided to not go to the memorial. She tells them about Gus's warning about Vivian. What makes her suspicious is that Vivian has been friendly lately and even wanted Maggie at the memorial. Melanie asks why would Vivian play games with Maggie. Maggie doesn't know but it makes her nervous. Melanie and Philip assure her that they will watch out for her. Maggie says this is a special day for Brady and Philip, Isabella was so giving and loving, she was the first one to see the good in Victor, she dragged it out of him even if he balked. Melanie says Maggie does that too.
At the mansion, Victor has printed the email and shows it to Brady. He says it's impossible, no way she would leave. Victor walks out of the room and heads for the stairs as Brady is reading the email out loud. Brady turns around, sees Victor is gone and runs after him. Meanwhile, Vivian finds a remote down in the cushion, turns on the monitor and sees Victor and Brady in her room. Victor searches around, noting what is still there and what is gone. He finally believes she's gone. He says there's only one word he can say about this. He raises his hands and yells, "Halleluiah!" then starts laughing. Vivian tells Victor not to say that, he should be suspicious. Victor gleefully says he can't remember when he ever felt this good. Justin comes in and asks what's going on. Victor tells him it's wonderful news, Vivian has left him! Vivian is crushed. Victor shows Justin the email but Justin is suspicious and calls it a "180 for her." Vivian cheers him on. Justin says strange things do happen though. Victor wonders if this is one of her schemes to make him miss her. Justin says that sounds like Vivian. Victor says he'll know for sure at the ceremony, she'd never miss being the center of attention. Vivian vows to find a way to be there. He tells Justin in either case, prepare the divorce papers and call it desertion, that way she won't get the pre-nup money. He walks away, laughing heartily. Vivian is devastated.
Later, Vivian changes the video feed, trying to find Victor and finds him in the mausoleum, calling her name. Vivian calls to him, saying she's there! Philip comes in, startling him, and asks if he's okay. Victor enthusiastically says he couldn't be better and would dance a jig if he knew how. Maggie, Melanie, Chloe and Daniel come in. Victor announces to everyone that Vivian has left him. They all take a minute to digest the news then start rejoicing. Vivian curses them all. Victor goes to Maggie and she tells him she's not going to congratulate him. He asks why not. She says she doesn't know...so maybe she will. She asks if he's sure she's gone. He says he can't be certain. He jokingly straightens his tie and says, "But it's soytenly looking good!" He chuckles and she tells him not to start getting silly. He tells her if Vivian is really gone, it's because of Maggie and he's thankful to her. Vivian is crushed. Everyone holds hands and begin the ceremony. Vivian cries that they were all supposed to be standing over Maggie's helpless, screaming body. Maggie talks about Isabella and, holding Victor's hand with both of hers, she says Victor learned more from his daughter than anyone else about love. Vivian glares. Victor says Isabella was one of a kind, she could tell him off and he would want to hug her, she opened his heart. He thanks everyone for being there and wants to starts to make a toast. Brady interrupts and says he has to come clean. Vivian is hopeful. Brady says when he was a kid, the other kids would complain about their mothers. He didn't have a mom but he had wonderful stories of her. He thanks everyone for being there. He also wants to thank Vivian for planning the ceremony, he hopes he can repay her some day, today he is at peace. He proposes a toast to Isabella and Vivian. Everyone raises their glasses. Vivian screams NO!
2010-09-21 Maggie, Victor, VivianMaggie, Victor, Brady and Justin are in the mausolem talking about Vivian. Victor is just grateful she's out of his life. Justin think it's odd she didn't wait until after the memorial. Maggie agrees. Brady says it was her choice. Vivian yells out that it was not! Victor asks Maggie to come to the house. She says she really should go home. He says he could use her company, it's been an emotional day, he has champagne and sparkling cider. Maggie says his wife leaving shouldn't be a celebration. He says then just a drink with friends. She reluctantly gives in, but will stay only for a while. Brady tells them he wants to stay. At the mansion, Victor makes a toast. He tells Justin to file the divorce papers first thing in the morning. Justin suggests he wait because the situation is a bit strange, he should make some calls to her friends. Victor says she doesn't have any friends. Maggie asks none at all? She says it's not like Vivian to run away. Victor says if she wants proof he'll show her and he leads her upstairs. Vivian searches the feeds and discovers Maggie and Victor in her bedroom. As Victor points out the "proof," Vivian spews vicious names at Maggie. Maggie begins to feel uncomfortable and tells Victor she's going to check on Brady in the mausoleum. Victor watches her leave then turns to the mirror and smiles triumphantly while straightening his tie. Vivian says, "Wipe that smile off your face, you old lech."
In the mausoleum, Brady searches around. Vivian asks if he's lost something, perhaps his conscience? He says he's checking for loose ends, he's not sure when he'll be back. She asks if he's sure he can live with having committed a human being to insanity and death. He yells at her to shut up. Maggie peeks around the door and asks Brady who he's talking to. He asks if she heard him. She says just his voice, he sounded upset. He explains he got emotional telling his mom a last good-bye. Maggie is sorry he never got to know his mother. He says he did today, excuses himself and leaves. Vivian begs him not to go. Outside, he closes the door and tells himself to keep his senses and not worry. Vivian changes the channel back to the bedroom and sees Victor instructing Henderson to get rid of all of Vivian's things, "Mrs. Kiriakis will not be returning, ever." Vivian says she hasn't left, she would never leave him. Victor walks up to the camera, looking at something.Vivian calls to him. He frowns. She says she knew they had more than a physical relationship. Victor straightens the painting of Vivian. She tells him to look to his left. He says he has a photograph of working dogs at the office. He'll have Henderson get it and dump this thing. He walks away and Vivian begs him not to leave her. Back in the mausoleum, Maggie finds the earring and remembers Vivian having trouble with it at her house.
2010-09-22 Maggie, VictorBrady is on the phone ordering that an employee be fired. He hangs up, sees Victor standing there and tells him who he just fired. Victor is curious why he didn't discuss that with him first. Brady asks if he's mad. Victor says he started to be then thought who fires an employee without talking to them first and realized Brady was doing the same thing he would. He praises Brady. Brady thanks him and leaves as the doorbell rings. Maggie comes in and is surprised to see Victor, Henderson said he was upstairs. Victor says he'll figure it out. Maggie shows Victor the earring, she found it in the mausoleum, it's Vivian's and she thinks it's odd she'd leave such an expensive earring behind. Victor is not concerned. Maggie presses, suggesting he send it to her "for old times sake." He says, "Yeah, sure," takes the earring and tosses it into a drawer in the desk. He says as soon as Vivian lets him know where she is he will send it and everything else to her, he wants nothing of hers left in this house. Maggie starts to leave but Victor stops her, asking where she's going. She says, "Home!" He asks if she doesn't think they need to talk. Maggie looks confused and asks what about. He says about the real reason Vivian left. Maggie sighs. Maggie says she's sorry Vivian is gone. Victor is surprised. Maggie teases that she was looking forward to hosting their first anniversary party. He chuckles. She goes on, saying she was planning a lawn party decorated with lots of garden gnomes and plaster chipmunks and skunks, maybe a little gecko. They both smile. Victor is sorry he'll miss that. Maggie will miss driving Vivian crazy. He says it would be a short trip. She says it's really none of her business why Vivian left. He gives her the email to read, it points out she saw something between them. He reminds her of her offer to drive him to the airport, to help him get off the insane merry-go-round his life had become. He says he was an idiot to turn her down and he wonders if that offer is still on the table. Maggies says she would do that for any man forced to marry Vivian. Victor says there was more to it than that. Maggie admits she could see he was sick and tired of the way he was living and he wanted to change it. He asks if she doesn't see that guy anymore. She says she was forced into a big change and maybe she just wanted to relate to him. Victor says Mickey would not want her to spend her life alone. Maggie agrees but she has to rely on her instincts and they tell her it's best for her to just be friends with him, nothing more. Victor says her instincts don't know what they're talking about and he'll prove it to her. He says he would have been disappointed if she hadn't made this tough for him. She says she's not playing a game. He says he knows and likes that too, in fact, there's not much about her that he doesn't like, he even likes when she says he's a spoiled brat. She says there's a lot she likes about him too but she will not be steam-rolled by him. He asks how about if he changes? She tries not to laugh. He shrugs and agrees that won't happen but he also won't ask her to change. She asks can't he see this is hopeless? He asks why. She says for him this is just a game. She asks what would he do if she just suddenly flushed and breathlessly said, "Oh Victor, you're the..." She stops and looks scared as she finishes, "One...for me." She's sure he'd get bored with her within 30 seconds. She asks him to just agree to disagree. Victor sighs and frowns. Maggie offers a handshake as friends. Victor obliges. Maggie walks to the door. Victor quietly says, "For now." At the door, Maggie looks back then tells herself she's doing the right thing. She leaves quickly.
2010-09-23 MaggieMaggie arrives at Chloe's apartment for the baby shower. More guests arrive and Melanie wants to start the games but Chloe says they need to wait for Nicole. Maxine is telling Arianna about a patient who had a long, hard labor. Chloe looks over nervously. Maggie desperately motions to Maxine to stop. Maxine finally sees her and cuts off the story, adding a happy ending. They're still waiting for Nicole but eventually start the games. Nicole finally comes back and is hurt that they started without her. She is very drunk and starts to get rowdy. Carly stops her and leads her to the door to "get some air." Nicole turns back into the room, continuing to insult them. Chloe tells her to stop. Nicole says Chloe is one of "them" now. Chloe tells her to leave. Nicole says okay and they won't talk about what Chloe did to Daniel. Melanie asks Nicole what she's talking about.
2010-09-24 MaggieNicole apologizes to Chloe for saying that and starts to leave but Melanie stops her. Maxine suggests the rest of them go look at the baby's room. The guests all go with her. Later, the party continues and Chloe unwraps the gifts.
2010-09-29 Victor, VivianAt the cemetery, Nicole hides behind bushes while the director tells Brady the arrangements have been made to get Sparkles' remains back to him. The director goes to get the paperwork for him. Brady quietly apologizes to his mother. Nicole can't hear what he's saying. The director returns and Brady leaves. Nicole approaches the director and tries to get information out of him without success.
At the mausoleum, Victor talks to Isabella while Vivian watches and pleads for him to rescue her. After Victor leaves, Brady returns and is very drunk. Vivian tells him the toxic fumes are getting to her. He tells that would be a good thing. She says she can't breathe. She is confident that Victor will rescue her. Brady tells Vivian that his grandfather doesn't care about her and once he finds out what she did to Isabella he'll kill her, and nobody will care or notice.
At the mansion, Nicole is waiting for Brady when Victor comes in and tells her to get out. Nicole asks Victor if Vivian had any pets, like an orangutan? Victor tells Nicole they have several orangutans in the mansion and some wombats. His phone rings. He says when he comes back he wants her gone. He leaves. Henderson comes in and tells her he could not locate Brady, perhaps he's in mausoleum.
At the mausoleum, Vivian begs Brady to have compassion. Nicole arrives at the door and hears Brady talking so she hides in the bushes. Brady puts the headset in his jacket pocket but it falls to the floor without him knowing. Nicole keeps hidden until he's gone. Nicole goes into the mausoleum and tries to figure out what Brady was doing. She wonders if the orangutan was Isabella's pet and he wants to put it in the sarcophagus with her. Then she says that's creepy and sad, she's afraid Brady is really losing it. She finds the headset, picks it up and assumes it's Brady's. She hears a voice and listens as Vivian calls out weakly for help.
Brady comes into the mansion and fixes a drink. Victor returns and is glad that Nicole gone. He tells Brady that she claimed to be looking for Brady.
2010-09-30 Victor, VivianAt the mansion, Brady is worried about Nicole being there and asking questions. Victor tells him to relax. Brady discovers the headset is missing. Victor tells him just buy another one. Brady searches franticly then rushes out. Victor is worried he's getting back into drugs.
In the mausoleum, Nicole realizes she's hearing Vivian's voice. Vivian excitedly tells her she's in the sarcophagus. Nicole thinks she's going crazy from too much drinking. Vivian begs her to get her out. Nicole is trying to open the sarcophagus when Brady comes in. He tells her to give him the headset. Nicole tells him about Vivian and sees by his reaction that he already knows. He denies it but Nicole doesn't believe him and thinks Victor made Brady do it. He tells her she's wrong. Nicole says Brady is covering for Victor, she knows Brady loves Victor but Victor is a sick SOB. Victor walks in and says that must make Nicole his mother. Vivian calls out for Victor to feel her presence and get her out. Victor tells Brady he followed him because of how he was acting, he came to make sure he's okay and sees that he's not. Victor asks Nicole if she's sober yet. She says yes. He asks if she's still asking questions about monkeys. She says an orangutan is not... Victor tells her to shut up and get out so his daughter can rest in peace. Nicole says his daughter is not... Victor threatens her if she says anything about Isabella. Nicole says he doesn't know. Victor asks what doesn't he know. Brady pipes up and tells Victor that he and Nicole are back together. Victor gets angry and says he came there to try and save Brady from himself but he's wasting his time, they deserve each other. He starts to leave. Vivian begs Victor to not go and thinks he heard her because he comes back. Victor puts his hand on the sarcophagus and tells Isabella good-bye, he misses her and is glad she's not there to see the idiot her son has become. He leaves and Vivian cries. Brady quietly thanks Nicole. She tells him not to thank her yet.
