What's everyone doing for Super Bowl? Having a party? Going to a party?
We are staying home, which frankly we prefer because we actually like to watch the game. I'll be making us a Cobb Salad. It's a Super Bowl tradition at my house and I think we may be the only people having salad for Super Bowl dinner. I will be making a couple other fun things and there will most definitely be beer.

I wish it wasn't on Sunday evening.

Me too fluffysmom. We are going to a party at a friend's house. Not sure what all we will have to eat but I know there will be plenty to choose from. I know that some will be drinking but I wont be since the boys will be with me & I will have to drive about an hour & a half home.

No party for me. Hubs isn't into football so I'll be watching alone. He might perk up for funny commercials, but that's about it.

I only watch it for the commercials too. The boys are both pulling for Denver.

I don't care who wins. We generally root for the AFC team unless it's the Patriots.

I'm not a fan of either team but I'm pulling for Denver. I'd like to see Peyton go out with a win and certainly have a better game than the last time the Broncos went to the Super Bowl. I did read that Michael Oher (sp?) the player from The Blind Side plays for the Panthers and I saw the story below on CBS Sunday Morning today. I'll be happy for him if the Panthers win.

Congratulations Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos! So happy they won. It was not a pretty game and not real exciting, but dang, that defense was incredible, on both sides, really.

It was definitely a defensive game. It wasn't very exciting to watch.

I thought it was a good game. I don't know, I thought it was pretty entertaining watching Cam Newton get sacked so much. Glad Peyton got his 200th win.

The boys were excited that the Bronco's won, but after the first quarter, they quit watching the game. I was disappointed with the commercials. I'm a huge fan of the Clydesdales so to not see them saddened me. The drunk driving one they did was good and extremely blunt, but I expected feel good/emotion tugging commercials that Budweiser has given us over the last few years.

They did show an ad with the Clydesdales but there weren't any dogs or anything. It was just them running with the stagecoach or whatever you call it and they had some kind of message with it. Not the same type they usually do for sure.

That was the one that really disappointed me. I didn't see it during the game so looked it up online. They said that they were more focused on the process of brewing and using the well defined muscles and the hard pounding of the hooves as a way to signify the strength of the company.....or something like that. Being the horse lover that I am, I wanted to actually SEE the horses...not just bits & pieces of the horses. Plus they flashed through so many pictures of the process so quickly that in the end the message was still lost on me.

I'm not going to lie I am not a football fan..... My husband went out with his buddies and I watched full house reruns on Netflix as I'm re watching before the new one starts
