I just found this info on the daytime royalty website. daytimeroyaltyonline.com/topic/8632084/1/abc.soapsindepth.com/2012/01/the-mannings-mcbain-move-to-po.htmlFormer ONE LIFE TO LIVE headwriter Ron Carlivati and executive producer Frank Valentini started their new posts at GENERAL HOSPITAL this week -- and their first order of business? Making deals with Roger Howarth (Todd), Kassie DePaiva (Blair) and Kristen Alderson (Starr) to bring their OLTL alter egos to GH! Yep, the Manning family is relocating from Llanview, PA, to Port Charles, NY! But the Mannings aren't the only OLTL characters who will be putting down roots in a new town: as Soaps In Depth reported last month, Michael Easton will be bringing Det. John McBain to the Port Charles Police Department! "We have a very exciting story planned for the citizens of Port Charles, with Sonny Corinthos at the center of it! I am confident viewers and fans alike will be excited for the arrival of John (Easton), Starr (Alderson), Blair (DePaiva) and Todd (Howarth)," says Valentini in a statement. "Incorporating characters from 'One Life to Live' continue the legacy of the show as we weave them into 'General Hospital.'" The actors are all due on the GH set in late January, to air in February. I also saw that Robin's parents are coming back to Salem. Robert and Anna are going to be back for Robin's exit storyline and it sounds like they may be sticking around after KM leaves the show. I am really happy about Robert and Anna coming back to Port Charles but I wish that Robin wasn't going to be leaving. It is really great that GH is starting to bring back some fan favorites but the thing is there are already way too many cast members on this show and alot of characters are really starting to suffer from lack of screen time and decent storylines. I am not happy at all about GH bringing on the OLTL characters just to try to gain some of the OLTL fans. I understand why they want to do it but I would much rather see some of my favorite GH characters from the past and present be given good storylines instead of the new headwriter that came from OLTL give all the good storylines and airtime to his OLTL characters that he brought over.

from daytime royalty daytimeroyaltyonline.com/topic/8632559/1/#newIt’s curtains for “General Hospital.” ABC announced today that Katie Couric would get the soap’s 3pm time slot in September 2012. That means that the soap, which started airing in 1963, will join “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” on the scrap heap. Of course, “General Hospital” might get a mild reprieve if ABC’s other soap substitutes at 1 and 2 pm don’t pan out. But in the end, the destruction of ABC daytime dramas is now complete and sealed. It’s a mistake, of course, to have jettisoned decades of loyal viewership for the unknown, and all at the same time. But the party’s over. ABC made their Couric announcement at 1pm eastern, even though it was no surprise. There’s a lot of carping about former NBC chief Jeff Zucker as Katie’s exec producer, but frankly, this is what he does best. The show’s going to be a hit, even if it means “General Hospital” is sent to the morgue. www.showbiz411.com/2011/06/06/general-hospitals-last-patient-katie-couric-who-takes-their-time-slot/comment-page-1#comment-89235

Emma Samms/Holly is also going to be returning to GH. It looks like they are going to change Ethan's paternity and make him be Robert's son instead.

I HATE the idea of bringing OLYMPIC OLTL characters to GH!! .... and does there really need to be even more storylines built around Sonny?! I like Roger Howarth and could even deal with his wife and daughter tagging along (bad actresses that they are) but WTH is the point of bringing in Michael Easton - his acting is unbearably bad! I want more airtime for John York as it is - not cheesy, dull McBain. OLYMPIC OLTL got to have it's own ending, GH deserves the same, not having it invaded by the Llanview crew. ETA: OLTL, not Olympic

OMG I was watching GH today and I can't believe that the mob guy that Tracy used to be married to Geno Soletto is Johnny's father and Claudia is his mother. It seems too weird for Claudia to be Johnny's mom since it always looked like they were only a couple years apart in age. Claudia must have had Johnny when she was a very young child. Now I really wish that Claudia wasn't dead. I would so love for SJB to come back to GH as Claudia since she is playing a character on Days that no one really gives a crap about.

What's weird is that Johnny and Anthony had a conversation not too long back and Anthony eluded to a secret about Claudia that made me think she might actually be Johnny's mother instead of sister and then decided that wouldn't be possible because they were too close in age. It's not even that they looked so close in age but more the way they always talked about their childhood. So many of the stories they told sounded like Johnny was a little kid at the time Claudia was a pre-teen/teen. I guess in soap time, I should have realized it was a possibility but I didn't. I totally missed that Gino Soleto was the other name on the birth certificate. I never heard them say the name, and only got that it was obviously another gangster. I thought it might have been Alcazar, but it being Soleto would explain why Anthony would know about Tracy taking Soleto's money.... and obviously the Johnny secret is a convenient one for Luke to know too in dealing with Anthony's plot against Tracy. P.S. I just noticed that my previous post was auto-corrected to turn "OLTL" into "OLYMPIC"... oh smart phones....

I really like though that the whole Soletto stuff with Tracy is going to end up being tied into the secret that Anthony knew about Tracy. I am really starting to like that this is going to turn into a big umbrella type story that is going to end up involving a whole of the people on the show. I can't wait to see how Anthony is going to explain to Johnny that Claudia is his mother. These should be some really great scenes between Anthony and Johnny. It should be very very interesting to see what the writers came up with to explain how Claudia is Johnny's mother since like you said Johnny and Claudia always talked about growing up together.
I am so happy that Robin finally told Patrick the truth about her HIV and that that storyline is finally starting to move along more.
I am also happy that Franco is finally dead and that it looks like Jason and Sam are finally going to have a baby together. I just hope that the writers don't have Sam miscarriage again.
This stuff that is going on at Wyndemere is really starting to confuse me. I am trying to figure out exactly what Cassandra's connection is to the Cassadines and to Spinelli.
I just found out that Kristin Storms won't be coming back to GH for awhile longer so it looks like we are going to be stuck with the Maxie recast for quite some time. I really wish that the writers would just write Maxie off the show for awhile since I absolutely can't stand watching any scenes that Maxie is in these days.

... or at least invest in a better actress to fill the Maxie role in the interim. They should have brought back Martha Madison to play Maxie while KS was out. I know she just filled in as Elizabeth last year but so what, at least she can act.
That new Psych doctor (who I distrust) named her Cassandra because she was writing "IC" everywhere. I bet those initials are her real name and the C is for Cassadine (and note how close Cassandra looks to Cassadine when written). I don't know what to make of a connection between she and Spinelli though. I wish they would have Spinelli focusing on his "gambling" business more. I think there could be a lot of interesting turns with that.... and I would just as soon see as little of Maxie (until KS returns) as possible.
I think it is going to work out for Sam and Jason this time, simply because TPTB gave them a different challenge to face in this pregnancy by having the WTD factor involving Franco. All soaps seem to have this rule that a baby can not be born unless there is a WTD question, a miscarriage/illness threat, kidnapping, and/or one of the parents goes missing/gets killed, etc. Sam already has the threat of miscarriage and the WTD storyline with the added tragic factor of how she believes it could be Franco's child, TPTB don't really have to kill the child to produce more drama and I suspect they know it would be too close to Jake's death. I think the baby will be Jason's and all will be well (for a few episodes anyway).
I like the way the Anthony/Johnny/Tracy/Luke stuff is shaping up too. I was worried a bit at first that they were actually going to try having Tracy & Anthony as a pair or that Tracy would be his hostage but I like this new twist.

Did you see the ending of today's episode? It looks like the showdown between Johnny and Anthony is starting and I cannot wait to see tomorrow's episode!! Surprisingly, I'm even liking the idea of Johnny and Carly together. I would have never considered that pairing but the story is there for it and I think they could be interesting (at least for a while).

I am totally looking forward to the showdown between Johnny and Anthony tomorrow and the explanation for how Claudia is Johnny's mommy. I have always kinda liked it when Johnny and Carly share scenes together. I think they could definitely make for a very interesting and hot couple. Carly is so much more likable whenever she is not around Sonny.
I really liked seeing Luke and Tracy working together today to con Anthony. I can't wait to see more of how this whole marriage con is going to play out. I wonder if Luke and Tracy actually are divorced or if the divorce was just part of their plan.

I HEART Luke and Tracy! Those scenes were so nice to see today - they had me a little conned as well, it was good to know for sure that they really are working together.
I bet Claudia was very young (like 12-13) when she gave birth to Johnny. The fact that Johnny has already called Anthony sick in the first sentence he said to him today, I bet Sonny was right about Anthony pimping Claudia out to his business partners.

I totally loved the Anthony and Johnny scenes today and I really liked the way the writers didn't make Claudia turn into a victim of Anthony's. I liked that even though Anthony was the one who used Claudia to help him with one of his schemes that Claudia was the one who pushed it to far with that Gino Soletto guy and got herself in over her head. Instead of turning Claudia into a victim, she instead still is being portrayed as the bad ass villianess that she was before she died.

I didn't think about that but you're right, I like Claudia the way she was and this storyline could have changed that. Watching those scenes I was wondering if Anthony was telling the truth and for once I believed him. I actually felt bad for him, but not as bad as I feel for poor Johnny. Once again he's all alone in the world.

I can't believe I was actually feeling bad for Anthony too. I think he was telling the truth about what happened. I do wonder however if Claudia knew that Johnny was her son or if Anthony took Johnny away from Claudia after he was born and passed him off as her brother. I hate that Johnny is going to be all alone again. Hopefully we are going to end up seeing Carly be there for Johnny since that would totally piss off Sonny.

Johnny has mentioned several stories about Claudia defending him as a little kid. Obviously their connection was always very strong but that doesn't necessarily mean that Claudia knew he was her son. She could have just felt a natural close bond with him and assumed it was just because he was her brother. It's not like they had other siblings she could compare the bond to. Can you imagine how it was for Anthony's wife? Pretending to be your step-grandson's mother all of those years? Obviously she came to love him as her own and was even willing to die for him - it's sad that a woman like that ended up with Anthony as a husband.
I like Olivia and Steve together okay but there have been several times that I wished she could be there for Johnny ... but for what Johnny is facing right now & the war that's coming, he needs someone like Carly in his corner instead of Olivia. I appreciate that Olivia wants to do "what's right" and "make peace" as pleasant traits, but in the trenches I would rather have someone like Carly on my side. And that's the kind of help Johnny needs right now.
