J.J.: Look, dude, if you ever need anything, just call. Okay?
CHASE: Sure. That sounds good. Thanks, man.
J.J.: No problem.
Chase and J.J. shook hands. Ciara, Joey, Theo, and Claire walked over.
CIARA: Hey, guys.
CHASE: Hey.
CIARA: Chase, you met my niece, Claire, a while ago, right?
CHASE: About an hour or two ago, yeah.
CIARA: Claire, this is my cousin, J.J. Deveraux.
CLAIRE: You're Jen's sister, right?
J.J. stood and shook hands with Claire.
J.J.: Yeah. Nice to meet you.
CLAIRE: You too.
JOEY: We were thinkin' about going to a movie. You guys wanna come with?
CHASE: You guys all wanna go with me?
CIARA: Sure, why not?
CHASE: I just thought...after what happened...
J.J.: Dude, it's like I told you, nobody thinks any less of you because of what happened. Your friends, your real friends, they know who you are.
THEO: Yeah, we've got your back, man.
CHASE: Thanks. Sure, I'd love to come.
Chase stood up.
JOEY: Cool. You coming, J.J.?
J.J.: In a minute. I gotta talk to someone, first. Save me a seat?
JOEY: You got it.
J.J. and Joey high-fived. Joey, Claire, Ciara, Chase, and Theo left. J.J. walked over to Daniel.
DANIEL: Glad to see you've got a group of friends, there.
J.J.: Well, I'm getting to know them.
DANIEL: J.J., I am so sorry that I haven't been in touch with you.
J.J.: Man, you've been busy planning for your wedding.
DANIEL: I know. But, I don't want that to get in the way of our friendship.
J.J.: It won't. Besides, I could've tried a little harder to reach out to you, as well.
DANIEL: What are you doing tomorrow?
J.J.: Nothing, at the moment. Why, what's up?
DANIEL: I don't know, I just thought maybe we could go hang out. The stores'll be mobbed, but we can go have lunch or something. Catch up.
J.J.: That'd be awesome, dude!
DANIEL: Okay. See you tomorrow, then.
J.J. walked over to his mom.
J.J.: Mom?
JENNIFER: Yes?
J.J.: Joey and Ciara and a bunch of the others are gonna go see a movie. I'll be back later.
JENNIFER: Really? Well, I'm glad to see you making friends with them. Have fun, honey.
J.J.: Thanks.
J.J. and Jennifer hugged.
JENNIFER: Happy Thanksgiving.
J.J.: Happy Thanksgiving.
J.J. ran off to go join his friends.
