Ugh. Hallmark started their Christmas movies the day before Halloween. I'm ready for Golden Girls to be back on the air!

On a side note, I don't get caught up in the chaos that is Black Friday. I can say that I have scored some good online deals tho

mae00, My son's fiance is saying the same thing. We even gave her the box set of Golden Girls a few years ago (the 25th Anniversary Sophia's purse set, so cute!) but she still loves to come home from work and tune into Hallmark's reruns. I totally get it!

I refuse to step out of the house on Black Friday.

I used to spend today decorating the house but a few years ago my siblings and I decided to make Christmas the perfect time to gang up on our mother. So Hubs and I hop in the ole RV and meander our way there and back.

Since we aren't home for Christmas, I don't put out decorations anymore. I miss it a lot.

I am no longer a traditional holiday decorator but I painted a snowman recently and I like having a basket of pinecones around. I do have a Christmas cactus and it is blooming. I have a little snowman ornament that I keep year round on my front porch that says "Flakes Live Here" I got it as a gift from a patient that died on Christmas day a few years back. I put his name and DOD on the back so I will remember.

My mom is annoyed that The Middle and Golden Girls aren't on.

How's everyone doing with their Christmas shopping? Only one weekend left after today. I feel like I'm behind. I need to do some wrapping today.

I got my brother's presents yesterday. I just have a few more presents to buy and I think I have to order them. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed but once I decided on what I was getting everyone I felt a bit more relaxed. Will definitely feel better once it's all done though.
Kpatch you may be in the same boat as me since you live in Florida. This warm weather has been great but it has definitely not felt like Christmas so it is very hard to believe it's so close now.

I'm actually already starting to work on a project list for the new year and Spring. I've got lots of things I want to clean, fix and organize. I don't have the money right now for some of the repairs but hopefully after the holidays. I did take a good amount of stuff to Goodwill yesterday. It always feels good to clear out things I don't need or use anymore.

My parents have just asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I haven't really decided yet. I'll figure it out sometime this week. Also my brother's supposed to be showing up for Christmas with his new wife so I'm excited to see him! At least it'll be less of a lonely Christmas since I'll be spending it with my aunt and her son.

Lately I haven't had much time to go shopping. I prefer not to go at night. I need to finish shopping for the gifts that need to be shipped to out of town family.

We have an obscene amount of presents under the tree.

The people next door have a gorgeous Christmas display on their lawn. They have a Nativity scene and some snowmen, and a lot of lights. I'll have to see if I can take a picture.
