CONFIRMED! BRANDON BEEMER BACK TO DAYS


A DAYS spokesperson confirms that Brandon Beemer has reclaimed the role of Shawn Brady, currently being played by Jason Cook. Look for him to take back the role of Shawn once again, to air in early 2016. The actor attended the 50th anniversary bash on Saturday night and was on set yesterday for the continued celebration at the studio.

I am not currently happy about this because I love Jason Cook and he's the real Shawn-D in my mind. I realize aware that not staying on was his choice and it's not like he was fired or not offered a longer contract. I'd rather the role have been recast with a new actor honestly, but I'll learn to accept BB I suppose.

I suppose this is good in that I don't see BB as the real Shawn, so I won't be too heart-broken over the end of the Belle/Shawn marriage. You know that's coming eventually. No couple stays happy for long in Salem.

I agree he's easy on the eyes but he changes the character
I always thought Shelle was the best with Cook and storms
I suppose BB and Madison have ok chemistry but just both different characters than the ones I fell in love with

I would love to see Molly come back. However, I don't want the bumbling idiot that we had when her 2nd appearance started. I want the mature Melanie that we saw during her marriage with Philip. I want the mature more confident Melanie that refused Brady's marriage proposal because of the changes/complications that came with Tate and Theresa. And let me clarify that last statement - Tate is a blessing. All babies are. However, Brady rushed into the marriage proposal to try to prove something to Melanie and I'm not sure he even knew what he was trying to prove. Melanie knew that things were going to change and that things weren't going to be as cut & dry and as simple as what Brady was trying to promise. I was so glad that she didn't rush into the marriage to try to keep a hold on Brady. I want the more sensible version of Melanie back.

Ugh please no. I do not want to see Philip and Brady fighting over her. That would make me ill.

I'm hoping it's just temporary for some...upcoming goodbye scenes.
