We went trick or treating at the mall. The girls didn't want to trick or treat in the rain and cold.

I just now noticed that I put Thanksgiving in the title of the poll instead of Halloween. Oops. I'm glad everyone figured out it was a big ole typo.

I noticed a new trend. A lot of kids used backpacks for collecting their candy.

We had way more trick or treaters than usual. We sat out on the porch and waited for them. Our neighbor across the street joined us, so we sort of had a group trick or treat. It was fun. I hate it when the kids put their hands in the bowl. One girl demanded a second piece of candy. Things have changed since I was a child. LOL. I was working so I missed it but my dad offered a bunch of kids the bowl. They all took handfuls except one kid who asked if she could have more than one piece. (He gave it to her.) We got more than usual. The last couple of years we had almost nobody. This year we got rid of most of our candy.

We had no plans. No kids here really. Trick or Treat is phasing out here. Five miles down the road in Rockland where all the rednecks from across the creek live they didn't even have their huge pile up of smashed pumpkins at the main intersection. What on earth is the world coming to?
I spent Halloween at the hospital in the waiting room waiting on word about a relatives emergency surgery. I did already have plans in place to buy half price candy corn the next day, though. It was delicious.
