from daytime royalty daytimeroyaltyonline.com/topic/8551892/1/SOD: Maggie is Shot! Maggie and Victor finally set their differences aside and take their romance to the next level by making love. "Maggie throws caution to the wind," smiles Suzanne Rogers. The twosome also makes plans for a trip around the world. Later, Maggie confides in Adrienne that she and victor are officially a couple. "Adrienne is concerned for Maggie," shares Rogers. "She wonders if Maggie is doing the right thing." Maggie also begins to have doubts when Victor suddenly cancels their date. Victor doesn't confide in Maggie that he's meeting with Stefano to discuss Brady's attack against EJ. "Victor's very mysterious," Rogers notes. "Maggie puts two and two together and realizes that Victor is going to see Stefano. Maggie is very leery of the DiMera's, so she follows Victor," unaware that the Phoenix plans on harming Vic. As Victor approaches Stefano, Maggie notices something disturbing. "She sees a gunman and runs to warn Victor. She ends up getting shot." Maggie collapses and all hell breaks lose. Well it's about time they make love!
This scene sounds like something right out of West Side Story. I can't wait! Thanks for posting this, kare!

I wish this story line involved younger characters. Yes I know I am ageist. But they are my grandparents age...UGH..my mind just went there. LOL I would much rather this play out with someone else.

All ages watch the show, so the age thing doesn't bother me. I can't wait to see how Victor is going to handle this!!

This is good soap drama....a love story, a family feud and the unintended consequence of an innocent caught in the crossfire. And having a well-seasoned cast that definitely can handle the material is a bonus. Faking a baby's death, forcing a mother to tell her son she doesn't love him anymore...that's not good soap drama.

Oddly enough this is one storyline I am actually interested in seeing. I had my hopes set high on the Carly drug storyline being interesting and well done but I ended up being disappointed that the whole drug addiction became about Carly's love for Daniel. I am hoping that this storyline remains interesting. I am intrigued to see what Victor is going to do after Maggie is shot. It is nice to see one storyline that involves some of the older cast members for once instead of having every storyline be about the younger cast. I also can't wait to see what Brady and EJ are going to do since they wanted to drop the whole revenge thing but unfortunately Victor and Stefano decided to go behind their backs and seek revenge on each other anyways. This sounds like it is going to be the start of a real heated war between the Dimeras and the Kiriakis families and I am glad that the Kiriakis family is going to get a chance to be brought back into the spotlight once again after being placed on the backburner for so long. The only thing that would make this storyline even better would be if Philip was in Salem to be apart of it.

. Faking a baby's death, forcing a mother to tell her son she doesn't love him anymore...that's not good soap drama. Disagree...I like stuff like that. I don't want to see West Side Story played out with 70 year olds. I would much rather it have been Chad and Abigail. And for the record my mom and my grandma said they would rather see younger hotter people in a romance on their soaps. (Yes I have been polling people) So just because all ages watch doesn't mean they always want to see all ages in certain storylines.Different strokes.

^^Must just run in your family then, slyn! The thing with soaps, is you need a variety. It can't be just the under 40 crowd that gets all the action and romance. I think it's quite refreshing to see a love story play out with an older couple. I'm a thirty-something but that doesn't mean I want to only see the 30's crowd on my tv. In fact I would love to see LESS of them because they take up too much air time. (Yes, EJamafe, I'm talking about YOU!) The funny thing is that Maggie/Victor (30-40 yrs older than me) and Chad/Abigail (15 yrs younger than me) are the two couples I'm most interested in right now. I get where you're coming from in terms of a love scene with an older couple but I think it will be tastefully done and will be romantic. Which is more than I can say for some of the love scenes with the younger crowd! Oy.

Mature aged people in love scenes aside...my biggest issue I guess is that Maggie and Victor are getting a better story than some of the leads.
They could have played this scenario out with say Nicole being the one caught in the middle. Maybe making both EJ and Brady realize their feelings for her. Making that guilt be the catalyst for change or the final straw to all out Armageddon. Victor and Maggie could have been there impacted too, but they could have spread some of this action around better.
Or even if they still let Maggie be the one shot. Let Brady have shot her. The angst potential of Victor's grandson shooting his girlfriend is through the roof. Top that off with Melanie being best friends with Brady and so close to Maggie. It would have made for some really good scenes. But resorting to the Stefano did it scenario (AGAIN) is just typical of Days inability to push the limits of their characters.
And I find Chad and Abby stale...for the record. But this storyline could be theirs in the future if they let Chad get more involved with the business.

Eh, while I like Chad and Abby, they just don't come across as star-crossed lovers or have real conflicting issues...yet. Chad has not been raised as a Dimera, and he only barely found out he was a Dimera not long before Abby showed back up in town. He hasn't really stepped into the shady part of the business and has not had to make a choice between good and evil, between legit and shady-if-not-downright-illegal. Maggie and Victor fit that bill more and it's more believable when Maggie has issues about how Victor does business vs. Abby being worried that Chad could *possibly* slip into Dimera ways. Chad has done nothing, beyond getting Mia pregnant, that has even indicted to Abby that Chad has any morality issues. So as far as storyline goes, it's way more believable for this to happen with Maggie and Victor.
And I highly doubt we will get a love scene of Philip/Chloe-ONS proportions out of Maggie and Victor, so to me there is no 'ick' factor with seeing older people.

There's no ick factor for me either.Days hasn't done a really good love scene in ages so I doubt they'll go there with Vic and Maggie.I admit though that I HAD hoped that Brady would be the one to accidentally shoot Maggie.Would have made for some incredible drama, but I am willing to give this a chance and see where it goes.

I love it...I think the actors are all fun to watch, and are so endearing. So, while I don't like to see Maggie getting shot, I do like how it's going to unfold.
Got my popcorn...
