jaysfan-Thank you so much!I realllyyy hated this pairing.My hatred of it though had absolutely NOTHING to do with Philip and absolutely EVERYTHING to do with Steph.For all her "love"for him,she was never ever happy about who he was,and CONSTANTLY tried to change him.The ultimatums and the back and forth she did got real old real fast.I'm not sure I've met anyone so far who wasn't thrilled when he walked away from Steph for good and went to Mel.

I actually didn't mind them. She was just his buffer while he ran from his "inappropriate" attraction toward Melanie. The show beat us over the head with the fact that she didn't accept him for who he was.
And they were rebound. Stephanie had been broken up with Max for about a month when she hooked up with Philip. Philip was hurting over Chloe choosing to be with Lucas. This was not made to last no matter how you look at it.
But she helped him on his journey to be his own man...a better man. So she served her purpose.

Ugh, even when it came to sex, she tells him what to do and how to act. Yuck. Thank goodness they didn't last long. I'm going back to hang out in one of the other threads where the women appreciate Philip. LOL.

I have been rewatching Philip/Stephanie these past few nights. Their whole relationship was one big anvil for Phelanie. She was like his Nathan - constant judgment, him jumping through hoops trying to be good enough for her, her constantly dumping him. The parallels are so numerous when you watch.
And yes the entire Philip/Stephanie relationship is included in my Philip/Melanie clips on youtube. I didn't edit out anything...I have every scene he was in during those 3 years.
