I'm glad to hear what Chloe is thinking. It's interesting, and helps us connect with her more. I hope the appointment with Dr. Richards goes well.

Love your stories. I just wish that they could have been written as a supercouple on the show with real life issues there were so many potential with them.

I really like Chloe's thoughts about Philip. I wonder how the session will go. Philip appearing in her office is a very nice surprise.

Chapter 6d
She turned her attention to the pad on her desk and continued to write notes, when she suddenly became aware that she wasn’t alone. Her head jerked up and an involuntary smile widened across her face when she saw Philip standing near her desk.
She rolled her chair back and rose to her feet, throwing her arms around him in one seamless motion. He felt so good in her arms. He smelled so good.
Philip held her tight for a long moment, nuzzling his lips to her neck and basking in the warm welcome-home greeting. Then he gently pushed Chloe back without letting her out of his arms, just so he could look at her face.
“You’re a sight for sore eyes,” Chloe told him, taking the words out of his mouth.
“They don’t look sore to me,” he said, gazing intently into her big blue eyes. “They look beautiful.” He leaned closer and took her face in his hands, kissing her softly and slowly, making her toes tingle and making her wish they were anywhere but in the office.
He broke the kiss and took a step back. Capturing both of her hands in his, he told her, “I stopped by the condo first. I wasn’t sure if your parents would still be there.”
“They stayed at a hotel last night and flew out this morning.”
“That’s what Clarice told me,” he said, referring to Parker’s new nanny.
Chloe looked askance at Philip. “Don’t tell me you’re afraid of seeing my parents.”
“No of course not,” he chuckled. “Well … Just your mother. She scares the crap out me. Always has.”
Chloe let go of Philip’s hands and returned to her desk. She jiggled her computer mouse. “She does that to your son too.”
“Yeah, I know,” Philip nodded.
Looking back at Philip, Chloe bit her lip. “She knows. About us, I mean.”
Philip blinked a few times. “Who? Your mother?”
Chloe nodded slowly. “She’s not pleased.”
“Does that matter?” Philip asked.
“In how I live my life?” Chloe shrugged. “No. Nancy’s opinion has never swayed me one way or the other. It’s just that I …” She stopped mid-sentence.
“It’s okay, Chloe. You can say it, whatever it is.”
Sighing, Chloe admitted, “It would just be easier if it didn’t turn into a fight every time I speak to her. I’m kind of tired of all the drama.”
Sitting on the edge of Chloe’s desk, Philip looked toward the window and nodded. “I get that.” With a wry laugh, he said, “I sometimes worry that the drama is being passed on to the next generation.” He looked back at Chloe. “I spent a few minutes with Parker. He wasn’t in the best mood.”
“That’s an understatement. But hopefully now that we’re … um …. Um.” She fumbled for words, not wanting to overstate what was going on between them.
“Trying to work things out?” Philip smiled as he finished Chloe’s sentence.
“Yes,” she exhaled. Her eyes sparkled with delight. “Hopefully he’ll get back to his old self soon.”
“That would be a miracle all by itself,” Philip commented.
“Did you um talk to Parker about….”
“Hitting his grandparents? Not yet,” Philip said. “I needed to leave for work and that isn’t a conversation I want to rush through, you know?”
“I understand completely. I had a little talk with him and he’s expecting a lecture from you also.” When Philip nodded, Chloe reached out and lightly touched his arm. “So, are we still on for our meeting with Dr. Richards?” Chloe wanted to know. “I mean you’re not too tired, are you?”
“Nope. This is my top priority.” He glanced at his wrist watch. “But I do need to get back to my office.”
“Of course.”
Philip stood up and took Chloe’s hand again. “I’ll pick you up right here at 2:30. We can drive over together.”
“I drove to work, but I can leave my car in the garage overnight.” Chloe smiled broadly. “So I’d say it’s a date.”
Philip released her hand and walked backwards for a few steps before turning around and leaving her office.

Glad she broached the subject of leaving her car 'over night'. She is letting him know she expects him to go home with her.

YAY! I was sooo scared this was a dream sequence when she and Philip kissed. Glad it wasn't.
I hope Dr. Richards can help them solidify their relationship. Also hope they can get Parker the help he needs.

A date with their counselor. This is the new Phloe! I'm glad Chloe is eager to go. It's time for some change and I'm happy we get to 'see' it happen for them!

Well, that was a sweet reunion. I hope that they are able to work things out. Can't wait to see how the appointment with Dr. Richards goes!

Chapter 7a
Chloe was a little nervous sitting in Dr. Richards’ waiting room. When Philip saw her bite her lip, he placed his hand firmly on her shoulder. “Relax,” he told her. She turned her head to look at him and met his smiling gaze. “It’ll be fine. You’ll see.”
Chloe placed her hand on top of the hand that was on her shoulder. “I don’t know why I’m so nervous. Actually … I do,” she admitted. “Promise me you won’t bash me when you talk to her alone.”
He slid his hand down her shoulder and laced his fingers with hers. “No bashing. I promise. Hey, we’ll get through this, Chloe. This is just Step One.”
She closed her eyes and tilted her head back. “Oh god, I hope the other steps aren’t this hard,” she said, half-joking. Squeezing his hand, she looked at him. “Thank you for coming Philip, for making this a priority.”
Shifting in his seat to face her, he rested his arm on the top of the couch behind Chloe. “I told you a long time ago that I’d never give up, remember?”
Chloe nodded. “You know I do. You’re a man of your word. Probably the last honest man in America.” The sound of a creaking door interrupted their conversation and they both looked toward the doctor’s office.
“Chloe, Philip.” Dr. Richards appeared in her doorway, holding the handle of her open door. “I’d like to speak with Chloe for the first fifteen minutes. Then you Philip. And for the final fifteen, all three of us can talk. Sound good?”
Chloe glanced at Philip. He nodded at her and reassuringly squeezed her hand. She released his hand before rising and walking into the doctor’s office.

It's Friday, isn't it? I can tell because we have to wait to see what's actually going to happen with this therapy session.
Great great chapter. It was so real. We're waiting right along with Chloe. Can't wait to see what she and Dr Richards talk about.
