I suppose Nancy thinks that a new environment would help Parker and Chloe. It would make Parker act out even more if he was across the country from Philip.

Chapter 4b
“That man should not have any rights at all where Parker’s concerned," Nancy argued. "If only Daniel were still Parker’s father, then none of this would be happening! Philip is a horrible individual. I could have predicted he’d cheat on you. In fact…”
Between the business trip, emotional stress, traveling, dealing with Parker, and now with her mother, Chloe was worn out. Exhausted, she plopped into a chair. “He did not cheat on me, Nancy.”
“What are you talking about? You told me so yourself and you said you had all kinds of proof.”
“Well, I was wrong. As wrong as I could be.” Chloe hated admitting to her mother that she made a mistake. Mostly she hated the fact that she even confided in her mother about the situation in the first place. At the time, she was feeling angry and vulnerable and alone and she let her defenses down. In retrospect, she did not need to give Nancy any additional ammunition against Philip.
Nancy sat down on the arm of the sofa to look directly at Chloe. “No. No, I cannot believe you are buying whatever manure Philip Kiriakis is shoveling. He’s a liar.”
“Actually, there’s no manure,” Chloe said, avoiding her mother’s glare. “And he’s not a liar. Philip Kiriakis is maybe the most honest man I’ve ever known.”
“Honest?? Sweetie, he obviously has you hypnotized. Do not give him the chance to break your heart again.” Craig was sitting on the sofa and Nancy lightly slapped Craig’s arm with the back of her hand. “Say something Craig. Talk some sense into your daughter.”
Craig opened his mouth to say something, but the women talked over him.
“You have that backwards, Nancy. It’s me who’s usually breaking Philip's heart, not the other way around,” she said, getting a little choked up. “And it’s Philip who’s giving me another chance. I’m the one who made the mistake, the biggest mistake of my life, and I’m lucky that Philip is even speaking to me after the way I treated him.”
“Are you on drugs?”
Craig grasped Nancy’s arm. “Nancy!”
“It’s okay Craig,” Chloe said wearily. “Look, I’m done with this conversation. Accept it or don’t accept it.” She threw her hands in the air. “I don’t care." Chloe got up from her chair and kissed her father’s cheek. "Thank you, thank you both for staying with Parker for a few days.” Then she turned back to Nancy. “I’m sorry it wasn’t a more pleasant visit, I really am. But you can go now.”
Nancy’s jaw fell open as she watched Chloe head down the hall to her bedroom and close the door.

I am really rooting for Craig to grow a backbone here and tell his wife off...
Note to Chloe--you need more friends so you don't resort to confiding in Nancy. You know better than that, sister!

Go Chloe!
I found it rather funny how Craig opened his mouth to say something, but was constantly talked over by Nancy and Chloe. As much as I love him, he does need to grow a backbone.

You go, Chloe! I'm with Parker. Nancy needs to go before I'll come out of my room!

I'm somewhat surprised Chloe would tell Nancy that Philip is giving her another chance.
Nancy doesn't have a say in who Chloe loves.

Chapter 5a
Philip fidgeted in his airplane seat, alternately adjusting his seatbelt, looking in the seat pocket for something to read, and opening and closing the tray table lever. Trying to find a good position, he leaned the seat backwards a little, but he just couldn’t get comfortable. Not enough leg room. Not enough elbow room. Too much noise, too many smells, and too many people in too-close proximity. He could forget about trying to get any work done or trying to get any rest. He was admittedly spoiled from flying on a private plane his whole life, but with the Titan jet out of commission, he was lucky to even get a window seat on this early morning flight from Reno to Chicago.
He was quite satisfied with the deal he was putting together with Beats. If things moved forward the way he was hoping they would, this could make Titan’s music division a serious player in the digital music industry. Even his father would be hard-pressed to find fault with this proposal.
Gazing through the scratches in the window at the peaceful clouds that would be burning off by afternoon, he took a deep breath to relax, knowing that it wasn’t only the uncomfortable quarters making him uneasy. It was wondering whether he did the right thing the night before last, by agreeing to give his relationship with Chloe another shot.
He leaned his head back and when he closed his eyes, all he could see were images of his life with Chloe. Out of all the women he’d loved over the years, this was the relationship that meant the most to him; this was the one that had been his dream come true, the one that just had to work out. And when it didn’t, Philip suffered the worst blow of his life.
They’d been on and off so many times over the years, it had almost turned into a routine. The last time they broke up, when he thought he wasn’t Parker’s father, Philip hit rock bottom. And throughout this latest breakup, he struggled to keep his emotions in check for Parker’s sake.
Once she learned the truth, Chloe took full responsibility for their breakup, even though it wasn’t entirely her fault. Philip tended to blame himself before he blamed anyone else for his problems. That was just his nature. He knew he wasn’t perfect and he contributed to Chloe’s suspicions by traveling too much and communicating too little and behaving like he had secrets during that fragile first year of marriage.

I a glad that Phillip is taking responsibility for his part in the break up but I don't like him second guessing his thoughts to try again!

You made Philip fly commercial? What kind of monster are you, Kpatch??? I like knowing what he's thinking...but I don't like that he's feeling so uncomfortable about Chloe.

I'm glad that Philip realizes that he is partly responsible for their failed marriage. It's funny seeing Philip flying commercial.
