Are you guys suffering from Joe's, I mean Chloe's brain fog...  Rafe2 rocks...!!! He is soooo funny.....he's so smug and arrogant and cocky...and cute....and cute...did I mention how cute he is... He rips the dolls head off....!!!! And I loved it when he tells Stephanie "You look like you need a hug"...!!! What a class A jerk...!!! I know, I know, rotten behavior, but it's supposed to be rotten behavior, he's not being portrayed as a good guy in any way shape or form...he's just bad, bad to the bone as some music group said, or was it a wrestler... ? Or those 2 black cops, the guy with the big ears, oh yeah, Will Smith and that guy that played Martin..... Anyway, I digress (imagine that!!)....I do hope there is no more gratuitous violence like in Rafe's dungeon cell but everything else cracks me up.....and I love the way he seems to be running Stefano...I guess EJ may have to slap him upside the back of the head again soon ( as soon as he quits salivating and pining over the dog **** sniffer) cause poor impotent Stefano lets him run him like a husky.....how could you not love that... ?? |

Interesting arguement. I dislike Rafe2 only because he's soooooooooo creepy and the longer the storyline goes the creepier he gets. I'm just ready to see him get what's coming to him.
PS. If you substitute EJ for Rafe2, would the arguement still be valid?

I am bored with Rafe/Stefano and EJ stuff but have been having a laugh at Rafe2. He is cracking me up too! Galen is doing an amazing job portraying two totally different people.

In both cases (Rafe2 & EJ), the writing for the character seems to be done with the expectation that most audience members will dislike them so it isn't surprising to me that most viewers would express dislike for them. However, just like Kate is probably supposed to be disliked as well and I generally root for her (or at least in the past several years that is), not all viewers dislike all of the characters that TPTB expect to be disliked. I thought "bad Brady" in the sarcophagus story was amusing (and it seems the writers did intend to keep that storyline light hearted in spite of how dark it could have gotten) and that certainly wasn't "appropriate" behavior.

I don't see Rafe2 and EJ being alike at all.....Rafe2 is a big dumb thug.....EJ is a cold calculating evil man.......

While EJ and Rafe2 may not be the same, I enjoyed bad EJ, but he never actually harmed any of the kids. I started to get worried once it started getting evil, but they seem to be pulling back from that. I prefer him devilish.
As for Rafe2, when he was being the big goofy dummy, I liked him a lot. Once he raised his hand to Allie, I was done. Granted he didn't hit her, but he was rough and probably would have hurt her if he could. That, I can not find funny. If he backs off the violence I can like him again. But I fear he's only going to escalate and that scares me.
Having said all of that, Galen is fantastic!!! I'm more impressed by him everyday. Well done sir!!!!

Yes, I always stipulated I didn't like the violent part of the storyline....I don't think anyone wants to see violence....today was a good day for Rafe2 though, he was just cute and dumb.....!!
