What is the deal with this movie on Lifetime? Does anyone know? It's on right now and all night. I'd never heard about it but I iust saw someone mention on Twitter that Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell have a new movie airing on Lifetime tonight. These are two huge comedy movie stars doing a Lifetime movie??? Is it supposed to be a spoof or something?

I've seen it advertised but couldn't figure out if it was supposed to be serious or a joke.

I was literally surprised when this movie came up on a commercial. I was shocked that Will Ferrell and Kristin Wiig were even in this movie. I don't think this is usually the type of movie they do. When they did the advertisement I actually thought they were playing it serious. And then I read up all of the comments on YouTube where people actually thought it was a joke and I couldn't understand why. But I'll admit there were a couple of moments in the movie where I kind of snickered. For example when Robert carried Sarah out of the car after he found her unconscious and the way they shot it I thought it was kind of silly and also the part where Sarah shot the crazy lady that kidnapped her daughter was also kind of funny for some reason. I just found it so funny that Kristin Wiig actually shot a lady from behind and the very concept of it makes me laugh. I can't think about it with making a straight face, that's how ridiculous it is. And Kristin getting into a catfight with the crazy lady was kind of hilarious.
I think that part at the end where the family started dancing was very weird and bizarre and just came out of nowhere but it was enjoyable to watch. I really liked watching the movie and Will Ferrell and Kristin Wiig were really good. I bought Will's sadness and guilt over the death of his unborn daughter in a horrific accident Sarah suffered. I even liked the kid that played Sully and she was very believable. Kristin was also believable as the mom and she was so convincing that you could relate to her. I think this movie might have been intended to be a satire but they played it so seriously and in a way it was brilliant.
