I saw a few people mentioned they were watching this so I thought I'd make a thread Did you watch tonight? If so, what do you think? Are they telling the truth about what happened?
I can't believe this is a Summer series and I just saw that IT is now off for like two weeks.

Just finished watching. I'm very irked by the interruption.
Anyway, I don't think we've heard the whole truth. It seemed to me that the teacher gave the kids the propaganda version. I'm eager to see what Pilcher has to say and whether that adds any more illumination to this.
The part about the Abbeys being genetically modified humans made sense to me, but then again I am a Torchwood fan and they're very similar to the Weevils on that show.

Guess this is one of the threads that got deleted. Let's try again. Are you watching? What do you think? Are the people telling the truth about what happened? I just can't help but think that they are lying. Otherwise, why all the secrecy?

I think that we got a partial truth. I don't trust the teacher. To me that sounded like propaganda to keep the kids in line, and thus not totally true. I also doubt some family committed suicide when the kid told.
I don't understand why adults can't be told and why the public executions for anyone who talks about the past or gets out of line. I've read a few interviews with the producer saying adults can't be told because they're too close minded and won't believe it, but I don't buy that explanation one bit.

I saw a commercial for this show. It reminded me of Twin Peaks. Anyone remember that show?

I saw a commercial for this show. It reminded me of Twin Peaks. Anyone remember that show? My brother is a huge David Lynch fan, so I watched Twin Peaks with him more than once through, and read some of the associated books. I think Twin Peaks was a bit more allegorical, but that was one of the reasons I was curious about Wayward Pines too.

This sounds interesting. I may have to check it out on-demand.
