thats awesome news but i hope hes back longer then the 50th tho! and i wonder if Belle is coming back too. belle was last played by Martha madison. i wish kirsten storms could return but shes playing Maxie on GH. Sounds like this return is temporary which is fine since I expect most of these returns to be short term. Since we've already heard about the Claire recast I'm betting that MM will return as Belle too. |

Love Jason Cook! I hope he's back for a while.
I agree with Kirsten Storms. Martha Madison never really sold me on Belle, but she had hard shoes to fill. I'd be okay with a recast.

i'm just glad they got JC back instead of his recast Brandon boomer. i always loved JC he was a much better Shawn and looked so much more like Bo too. i agree i think MM will be back as Belle cause Kirsten is busy on GH unless she does both just for the 50th Annv. hell if Eilleen davidson can do it and play Krtien while playing Ashley on y & r so could kirsten  |

I just saw on FB where Jason Cook is headed back to Days for the 50th year celebration! He has already begun taping. You can read the latest on his return in the new issue of SOD

Thanks for the info! It will be nice to have the original Shawn D back. I'd love to see the whole Last Blast group back. Well, okay, I'm lying. I only care to see Philip and Chloe back at the same time. It would probably have been awkward if Nadia was coming at the same time and they brought back Brandon Beemer (her real life ex) as Shawn instead of Jason.

That's exciting. I'm glad he's returning. I'm betting Belle will return as well (I'd prefer Martha) because they are casting for Claire. I'm thinking the whole family will return for at least a bit.

I wonder if he will be back for good? I always liked Kirsten as Belle but I know she would never come back to Days. Is Nadia coming back for the 50th anniversary? I am willing to bet my life Jay doesn't come back for the special. They never even asked Farah to come back. I liked her as Mimi.

I hope Martha Madison is coming back too! At first I was not excited by this because them being on screen means that Belle and Shawn are not going to last long and one of them will cheat the moment they hit Salem. THEN I remembered that Tomlin/Whitesell is gone. There's hope that this return won't be a total disaster. So now I am going to be excited about this. I can't wait to see Shawn (and hopefully Belle) again. Jason Cook is Shawn-D to me. I'm glad he'll be the one playing the role. I agree with John_and_Marlena_Fan that I wish Kristen Storms could return as Belle, but I really like MM too. |

I kind of feel bad for Brandon Beemer, he has been very vocal about wanting to reprise his of Shawn-Douglas. I always preferred Jason in the role over Brandon, but I would like to see the character taken in a more adult direction which is hard to imagine with Jason considering he still looks 16.

I have been celebrating ALL day since the news broke I was stock at work and my twitter feed blew up literally. I adore JC/Shawn the reason I stock with DAYS and is a fan today. Grew up with the last blast dance crew. Did watch few DAYS stuff here and there starting from Marlena's possessed SL haven't seen anything like it ever, than Austin/Carrie (AP/CC) I loved Carrie rooted for her against Sami but was instantly hooked with the LBD cast SO many memories through the years and couples from that group I still ship and miss to this day like classic Shelle Jirsten's chemistry was out of this world I love them and of course same about Jadia/Phloe. Happy that Philip and Chloe didn't experience recasts as many times as Shelle did.
I need dimples back JKJ and JC were my crushes still are and I am a huge fan of the characters, exciting to know that people miss Shawn and Philip like I do. They were the Bo, Patch,John,Justin and Jack of the early 2000's

I had the same experience with the show back when JC and KS (along with all the others) were leading the teen scene. I watched DOOL before LBD, but it was that era that hooked me into the show. I was an irregular viewer until that period. I loved every storyline and all of the characters on the canvas. The show was fabulous back then. |
