Kpatch, you're right, the Dimera route is easy. However it would lead to some conflict for Chad and Abby.It would also put Jenn in turmoil because yet again, she will have been wrong to lambaste Jack to anyone who will listen.I'm kinda tired of her acting like the teenager. She really needs to grow up,put on her big girl panties and quiet judging Jack everytime she deems he's breathing the wrong way.Since 2001 I've felt she's been written like "Ok Jack,it's my way or the high way".I used to really hate Hope for the "princess complex"I felt she had,but now I'm feeling like Jenn suffers from the same complex.

I don't see how Carrie/Austin fit here. I don't see them having a potential story line, unless they break this couple up. Even then, without Sami, they're not an interesting couple. Carrie is boring. John fits into many story lines. Marlena, well, she's also a bit boring. I know a lot of people are big time Marlena fans, and I respect that, but she's not interesting to me. I don't know how to make some of these power supercouples interesting or fit. Unless they're going to have someone wake up from a horrible dream (reset button) and start back in the mid-90s. The bonus of that will be that there won't be a, Stephanie, Taylor, Dario, Carly, Daniel, Melanie, Nathan, or Chloe as a prostitute. The down side is that we'd have thrown away some of these last years and some characters and situations we've grown fond of (like Vic/Maggie coupling, Rafe, Johnny, and Nathan). Kidding on that last one, just wanted to see if you were paying attention.

Haha Trey. Nathan had potential at one time, so we'll see.
I would love to see John get more involved with Victor because of their connection through Brady and the late Isabella. I don't want to see John involved with Titan or anything like that. He doesn't belong there, but I would like to see a lot of interaction between John and Victor.

Unless Sami wants Austin again...i see no reason for Carrie and Austin to return. Lucas should be brought back to deal with Will coming out...not Carrie and Austin. John and Marlena should just be there for Brady as said above...and maybe keep Stefano entertained.
As far as Jack...dunno...just would rather them let it play out realistically (like maybe keep them divorced) instead of just trashing Jen and Daniel because Jack is back. Maybe Jack can hook up with Lexie (another DiMera tie in). Lexie is in dire need of a new man.

Days is so incestuous that Uncle Max had to date two nieces. You need the new and unrelated characters...even Rafe (who I cannot stand) And I don't get the outrage about Chloe as a prostitute. We never knew much about her character in all the years she was on. She was poorly developed after they revealed Craig and Nancy were her parents. She was smart, pretty, singer and had some spunk. That is it. She never grew or changed with any of her life experiences. She was just the same Chloe after that storyline was done. When she came back this last time, they made her a sexpot slut...ok...how do we know that Chloe didn't become a raging nympho while in Europe? People change after high school and college. At least this last set of writers tried to use her history to explain her behavior and choices. Low self esteem, abandonment issues....

I am not looking forward to Carrie and Austin's return either. Hopefully they are back for a short term story.

I do think there's a big, big avenue for Carrie/Austin story, since they still don't have children. We know what a big deal that was for Carrie during their last run. Maybe trying to get pregnant causes a rift... Austin assumes a fatherly role with Will, somewhat neglecting Carrie... or they try to adopt. Lots of stuff you could do without tossing them into a triangle or repeating the Sami crap.

That's true Mikey. Kate will certainly try to get involved in Austin's affairs as well. Maybe people will even start going to work again. Remember when people actually had offices at Titan and Basic Black? There was always someone like Sami or Nicole trying to find out some dirt at the office.

I'm really hopeful that the introduction of this Sarah Brown CEO character means that people are going to get back to work!

At this point I just want some good writing and interesting character interactions.

So without a Sami plot I frankly cannot think of anything compelling for a 40ish married couple amongst all the other 40ish couples on the show.
