Melissa Reeves: “It’s So Amazing” Working with Matthew Ashford

Matthew Ashford (Jack) is on the Days of our Lives set taping again, which means a reunion with longtime leading lady Melissa Reeves (Jennifer). The pair shared their first scenes together, since they were written off the show in 2006.

"It's so amazing having him back," says Reeves, admitting she'd begun to wonder if it would ever happen. "I was a little afraid, because Matt is busy. He always has stuff going on. So you never know. But the fact that it always works out is the best."

Although the duo hadn't talked to each other much since leaving the show, things quickly fell into place between them.

"When I saw him, we just started laughing," recounts Reeves. "It was like, 'Oh my goodness. You're here again.' It was like no time had passed. It's funny how we won't see each other for years; then, when we do, we just pick up right where we left off."

So how were Reeves and Ashford's first scenes together?

"We had a ball. So much fun," smiles Reeves, who believes their storyline is going to be interesting, since Jennifer's now involved with Daniel.

"This could be a fun triangle, because Jennifer really loves Daniel," contends Reeves. "I don't think that's ever happened for Jennifer before. In the past, there's always been that little bit of doubt in the back of her mind, because of Jack. But that's not there now."

"She really loves Daniel." Huh? LOVE?!?! I get that she really likes him, but within two months she's going to be "really in love with him?" That seems a bit much. Ugh.

Thanks for posting Karebr. I really, really like Daniel and Jennifer together. Much more then I ever liked Jennifer and Jack as a couple.

Ok ok,not one to hold my tongue,you know I've gotta say it....I feel Melissa is spewing a load of BULL on this one.LOVE?!I don't think so!Jenn has always "loved"men who were completely wrong for her.She said it herself in 2002 I believe it was,when she was involved with that other creepy doctor "I wasn't trying to prove that he was right for me,I was trying to prove that he wasn't".Hennifer has never had a problem trusting the wrong man.I think my big issue,was Jack was always the one she SHOULD have trusted yet didn't despite being so in love with him and fighting for him constantly.Yes Jack let her fall occasionally,BUT in the end,he always came through for her.Anyone else remember the Alamain fiasco she got herself involved in and Jack rode in to her rescue?Or the Melaswen fiasco?Oh and then there was when Doc Murphy was murdered and Jack took the fall because he thought she'd done it....the list goes on.

Mine too!I remember being nine years old.I found out Matt was married to Christina and locked myself in my room,lol.Yeah yeah,I was a dork,lol.I dunno...since 2001 I really don't like the way Jenn's been written.Too much the martyr,too much the airhead....too much the woman who falls in love with anything having a pulse....it's pathetic,yet mark my words,once he's back,EVERYTHING will be Jack's fault and Saintly Jennifer will get away with being a....well you know....*grumbles*
