I used to watch quite a bit, but not anymore. I don't find the characters to be at all relatable.
My husband likes the reality shows that have to do with men and mechanics: American Restoration, Gold Rush, Moonshiners, and then there's Pawn Stars.

Same. I do watch Cold Justice, which features a real-life DA and an investigator. Every week they go to a different small.town to try to solve a murder that's been open for years and give closure to the families of the victims.

I don't mind real reality TV but I hate shows where it's staged and scripted and they want us to think its real and how these people really live their lives. I've heard CJ is really good. I need to find it.

My guilty pleasure is Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I started watching to see Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson. The show is all about the rich and sort of famous who behave badly every chance they have. Eileen is above the fray so far - elegant, classy and controlled. Sure that won't last. I think my interest in the show is waning and I probably won't watch after this season. I enjoyed the scenes that introduced Lisa and Eileen's families and their homes. Eileen's family seems so normal. Lisa has two teen age girls who have an entitled attitude but maybe that is just teenagers in general. There were some nice scenes with Lisa's parents and sister.
OK - I have rambled long enough. You are all so smart not to watch this stuff.

I like Survivor. Some seasons I like the people more than others. I used to watch the Amazing Race but haven't the last few years.
Big Brother is my guilty pleasure summer show.
I've never watched any of the Housewives, Kardashians or modeling shows.
My husband likes Prospectors. It's people digging for precious stones. We used to watch Deadliest Catch. I couldn't get into anymore after Captain Phil died.

I need to find it. That's how I feel too. I like shows like Cold Justice, although I've never seen that particular show, but "real reality TV" is a good term for it. The other shows are just too much arguing and competing for my taste. I've never been one for confrontation and competition.

I do but I've kind of drifted towards the shows that are more "feel good" than the ones where people fight and create drama, like the Houswives. Real housewives of Atlanta used be my girly pleasure but I can't take it anymore.
I like to watch Amazing Race and Master Chef Jr. To me those are both a lot of fun to watch.
