I will try to post more often here but lately my life has been so very hectic and I feel like I am always on the go and don't get a chance to sit down and post too much stuff on the message boards these days.

Sorry but I can't stand Philip.Don't ever want Phloe again.Want Chloe without Philip,with someone new.Why should Phloe be together?Because they share a child?Sorry that's not reason enough,and they have no feellings for each other and Philip always backstabbs Chloe.Don't want him anywhere near her.

Chloe herself called Philip her best friend and they had a real friendship and supported each other over the years. He always dropped everything when she called and even helped her with her career. Their friendship was rare by soap standards.

I prefer them as a romantic couple than as friends, but it bugs me to no end that TPTB ruined their friendship just to expedite Jay Johnson’s departure from the show. Again, it was out of character for Philip to side with his mother against Chloe. After everything they’ve been through together and knowing Chloe’s fragile state, the Philip we have watched for years would not be taking his son away from his mother. It disturbs me even more that his actions in keeping Parker from Chloe have led her to prostitute herself. He wouldn’t want that and he wouldn’t allow it.

Just as they are ruining Chloe’s character onscreen, TPTB are ruining Philip while he is offscreen just for the sake of a plot that is universally hated.

Sadly this is so very true and even sadder that this has become a pattern for TPTB ... or with any luck the former PTB. I sure hope that Corday and his new team are paying attention to the mistakes of Tomlin/Higley and stop the madness. They are doing the same thing to Chloe that they did to Nicole and Sami ... and they are doing to Philip the same thing that they did to Jack and Lucas. It sucks bigtime! and it never, ever works to any other characters benefit either and definitely not for the show. I feel like we should start an awareness movement to protect the interest of our beloved veteran characters who are so often sacrificed for new ones (and/or plot points) ... but I'm hoping that won't be necessary once the work of the new writers/producers starts playing out onscreen.

@kazz - I hope that things change and the trashing of beloved veteran characters stops soon. It certainly doesn't help the show to keep its viewers.

No problem with them being friends.But never again as a couple.

I completely agree with you,couldn't have said it better.Having been an Phelanie fan,I never thought I'd want Philip and Chloe back together again,but I loved them years ago,and given the proper writing and care,they could have been like that again.I'm hoping against hope that they bring Jay back at least temporarily at least to minimize the damage done to both these characters.If they don't pair them romantically before Nadia leaves,it would be nice for them to "ride off into the sunset"at least as friends with their son.
