Chloe's making a beautiful speech so far! I hope she continues to channel her emotions and find a way to deal with things between her and Philip. Great chapter, Kpatch!

I wonder if Philip is in the audience. If not I hope he arrives soon.
She's doing a great job with a very personal speech. I hope she can get through the rest of her speech without breaking down.

I vote yes because it would cause more angst if he did. Can't wait to see what happens this week!

Chapter 67c
Readers, please click the link to listen to the music playing in the background during Chloe's speech: Vivaldi's Four Seasons
This music would evoke a poignant sadness no matter what. It reminded her of a very specific event in her past with Philip. When she realized that was exactly the point she was trying to make in her presentation, Chloe decided to use her tears to her advantage. So she channeled her inner diva and, with a shaky voice, she continued.
“For instance, take the music playing in the background right now. I chose Vivaldi’s Four Seasons because when I was 18 years old, I was in the hospital for a long time with a serious illness. My boyfriend wanted to cheer me up so he’d re-create each of the four seasons right there in my hospital room — like making me a picnic for spring, or bringing me sunglasses, a beach blanket and a beach umbrella for summer. It was his way of telling me everything was going to be alright. I still think about that when I hear this song.”
When the audience uttered “aws” and “ohs,” Chloe knew why. She looked over her shoulder at the screen behind her and smiled before turning back around.
“That’s my son Parker. He’s four now. I sang him many a Brahms lullaby when he was a baby. And yes, I admit, I also sang some pop, like ‘You Are My Sunshine’ and ‘Mockingbird.’ His father sang the Everly Brothers ‘Dream Dream Dream,’ to him, which was a surprisingly effective sleep inducer. And by the way, it was also the inspiration for the name of our company.
Let me ask you all something. Did you ever get a song stuck in your head and you didn’t know why? And then something happens and you realize the song was providing the theme music for certain events in your life. That happens to me all the time.
“Who here has a song that, when you hear it, it transports you to another time and you feel now what you felt then, as if it was happening in the present instead of the past?”
People in the audience started calling out names of songs, like I’ll Be There, Stand By Me, Night Moves, and Sweet Caroline. One man yelled out “Five O’Clock Somewhere” and the crowd burst out in laughter.
“Ironically, for me, that song in my head isn’t Für Elise, even though it’s my favorite of the classics. And it isn’t even from an opera. It was a song that changed the course of my life, the song I danced to at my first high school prom — ‘I Need You’ by Leann Rimes.”

I really hope that Philip is listening to this speech, somehow! That was beautiful! Why do I get the feeling that "I Need You" is going to be the next song that is played/sung in this story? I'm looking forward to whatever comes next! Great chapter, Kpatch!
