We received our first Christmas card on Sat. 11/29. My friend who sent the card is the most organized person I know. She makes lists and sticks to them. I am going to work on my cards this week. Do you send cards?

Our first Christmas cards were from my mom on Saturday. My mom is the same way as your friend, kathyj. I usually send out a few cards, but I hand deliver more than I mail.
Our tree is up and decorated. Peppermint the Elf showed up last night. She kept it simple last night and added one new ornament to the tree, Elsa from the movie Frozen.

With the exception of ordering a few presents online, I have not done any shopping or decorating yet. I am so far behind this year. I am hoping to get our tree up next week and start my shopping.

I added Hanukah to the thread title. It starts on the 16th.
I need to get more Christmas cards. I have some cards, but no envelopes to match.

I'm way behind too @dukeblue. One package that I ordered is MIA literally. The shipping link in the email didn't work. I called customer service this morning. She told me it was shipped but they have no idea where it is. She placed a replacement order.

Does anyone have fun holiday traditions they want to share? I buy one new Made in USA (hard to find!) Christmas tree ornament every year and I give it to Ron the day I decorate the tree. kathyj reminded me of this tradition when she said she likes to look at all the ornaments and remember where they came from. I'm the same way. Another tradition is the tags on the gifts Ron and I give each other. We write fun and cryptic clues about the gifts inside the package and, before opening each one on Christmas day, we try to guess what's inside based on the clue on the tag.

We go to the Festival of Lights Parade and the Candlelight Poinsettia Walk every year. The Candlelight Poinsettia Walk is at the botanical gardens.

I went to see the Christmas decorations at a historic house and ran into Santa.

Great picture kathyj! So far, I've managed to put my christmas tablecloth/placemats out, as well as some garland. My Christmas tree still hasn't gone up. I am also no further ahead with my shopping either. I am really struggling to find my Christmas spirit this year. For the sake of the kids, I guess I am going to have to get myself in gear next week and get everything done! Wish me luck?
