I hate to be negative but I don't like pop-up characters like this person we didn't even know Hope knew is an old friend with ties to Aiden. Why not really have someone Hope knew have ties to Aiden rather than someone we never heard of. Hope's been on the show on and off for almost 30 years so they could have come up with someone she encountered before.

Sorry to be a bitter Betty, but I don't understand the timing of this. They've barely shown Hope and Aiden since the Dear John letter to Bo and they are already introducing a new character to presumably cause problems for them.
I realize that Aiden has a secret past that must be dealt with, but can we at least get a second date or kiss first? Can we see some progression in their relationship before someone else with ties to both of them(?) moves in to create drama?
I also don't understand why it is necessary for Hope to know this person at all. Isn't it enough that this new character will have ties to Aiden? Wouldn't that be enough to rock the boat?

I'm really confused as to how this Bree character is supposed to be connected with Hope. I mean, really? How does she fit into all of this? Anyways, I've never heard of this actress and I've never even seen her on T.V. before so I'll check out to see if she's any good.

I know they claim it's the budget and all that crap, but it's really hard for me to care about a "new" character when it's likely that this actor who has joined the show probably already finished taping scenes and is no longer working on DOOL.
I think part of the reason I've been so disappointed in Kristen's return is it was hyped so much and we waited like 4-6 months of her to air. It's impossible for this show to live up to the expectations that result from such a huge delay. If I wait half a year for something, I want it to be great!
