Chapter 5

DEVERAUX HOME
ABBY: How can you say that?
J.J.: Oh, gee, I wonder. You slept with Sami's husband and then pretended to be her friend.
ABBY: They weren't married at the time.
J.J.: Is that supposed to make it better?
ABBY: No, I just...
J.J.: Don't! Don't give me that sob story about how you were confused! You knew exactly what you were doing. You saw a man you wanted and you went after him, regardless of the consequences! But, you know what, I'm not surprised. Maybe I should be, but I'm not,
ABBY: Why not?
J.J.: It's not like this is new behavior for you, is it? I mean, this is exactly what you did with Austin.
ABBY: That was totally different.
J.J.: Not really. You almost destroyed their marriage.
ABBY: Why are people always judging me?
J.J. laughed.
J.J.: Is..is that a joke? Abby, no one in this town has judged you. Everyone seems to think you're a saint. You can do no wrong in their eyes. But, Sami knows the truth about you. And now, so do I.
J.J. turned and left.

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
BRADY: How could you, Teresa?
TERESA: How could I what?
BRADY: How could you do that to him?
TERESA: What are you talking about?
BRADY (yelling): Don't play dumb woth me, Teresa! You know what you did!
Teresa gulped and backed herself into a corner.
BRADY: You hit my father over the head with a fireplace poker. Didn't you?
Teresa said nothing. She just stared at Brady.
BRADY (yelling): Didn't you?!!
TERESA: All right! Fine! I did it!
Brady took a deep breath and turned around.
BRADY: Just tell me one thing: Why?
TERESA: I don't know.
Brady quickly turned to look at Teresa. The pure rage on Brady's face made Teresa sink back into the corner. Brady spoke in what he hoped was a calm voice. It wasn't.
BRADY: I don't know is not an acceptable answer.
TERESA: But I really don't know! I don't know why I do the things I do!
BARDY (yelling): Stop lying to me, Teresa! Or is that all you know how to do? Is your whole life one big lie?! Please, for once in your god forsaken life, put some big girl panties on, grow up, own up to what you did, and tell me damned truth!

Good for JJ calling out his sainted sister and reminding her about Austin too. Love it!

LOL at Brady telling Teresa to put on her big girl panties. I find it very interesting that she said "I don't know."

Chapter 6

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Kayla sat at her desk, reading over some papers. There was a knock at the door.
KAYLA: Come in.
The door opened and Paige walked in.
KAYLA: Paige, good to see you. Come right in.
PAIGE: Thanks, Dr. Brady.
Paige sat on the other side of Kayla's desk.
KAYLA: What can I do for you, dear?
PAIGE: I'm a little concerned about J.J.
KAYLA: Why?
PAIGE: I think he may have been drugged a few days ago. The why isn't important. I know he had some tests done a few days ago. Did you do them?
KAYLA: No, unfortunately, they were done by another doctor. But, I have J.J.'s file right here.
Kayla opened a file and read something.
KAYLA: Well, you're right, he was drugged. Roofies. Nasty business.
PAIGE: If, hypothetically, someone were to be drugged with roofies, would that make them want to have sex with someone?
KAYLA: No. Roofies are the date rape drug, but the person who waa drugged passes out completely. The person that gave them the drug then proceeds to have their way with them.
PAIGE: So, if, hypothetically, J.J. and I were at a party, I walked away for a few minutes, someone distracted him and put roofies in his drink, then they could make it look like they had done so,ething, when J.J. couldn't have done anything at all.
KAYLA: Yes. Where is all this coming from?
PAIGE: J.J. was set up. But who...
Paige thought for a minute,
PAIGE: I know who set him up now. Dr. Brady, I'm sorry. I'll explain everything later. Right now I have to go. Thank you, though!

DIMERA MANSION
Chad's phone rang. He picked it up.
CHAD: Yes?
Pause.
CHAD: I'll be right there.

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
TERESA: Brady, you're scaring me.
BRADY: I'm scaring you? Oh, I'm sorry. I mustn't scare you, must I? I mustn't scare the woman who nearly killed my father and made me think that I did it for months on end! The woman who took advantage of me on multiple occasions. The woman who got me so wasted I agreed to marry her! I mustn't scare you, because that would just be cruel!
Trresa couldn't say anything.
BRADY: Get out of here, Teresa. If you're not gonna tell me the truth, I'll find it out for myself, so just get out of here. But never come back. It's over, Teresa. We can never see each other again. I can't even look at you.
Brady turned on his heel and walked away. Teresa got out her cell phone and dialed a number.
TERESA: Hey, it's me. I need to see you.

Wow, sucks for Theresa. Too bad. It is for the best. I wonder what will happen if she becomes pregnant with Brady's baby. What if she needed to let him know.

Also I wonder who was it that she was talking to at the end. Was it Anne?

Chapter 7

DIMERA MANSION
It was now a new day in Salem. E.J. was getting ready for work one morning when there was a knock on the door. E.J. opened it and a man walked in.
E.J.: Can I help you?
The man punched E.J. in the face, hard.
MAN: Sami Brady sends her regards. She would send them herself, but she's out of town, so she asked me to give them to you personally.
The man stepped over E.J. and walked out.

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Teresa was sitting at a desk, sleeping. She was dreaming, though really it was more like a flashback, of the previous night.

PARK - FLASHBACK
The previous night, Teresa had stood in a secluded area of the park, waiting for somebody. Chad walked up.
CHAD: Heard you wanted to see me.
TERESA: Who are you?
CHAD: Let's just say I'm your new...proprietor.
TERESA: What?
Chad whispered something in Teresa's ear.
TERESA: Oh. Gotcha.
CHAD: So, what's your pick?
TERESA: Normally, it's Mary, but I'd like something stronger than that.
CHAD: Got just the thing.
Chad handed Teresa a brown paper bag with a dragon on the front. She looked inside.
TERESA: Hey, I just want a sample, I'm not a regular.
CHAD: Did I mention it's free? Besides, if you don't like it, I'm sure you can find someone else who will.
TERESA: Well, all right, then.

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Anne walked in.
ANNE: Teresa. Theresa?
Anne walked over and nudged Teresa.
ANNE: Hey, wake up.
Slowly, Teresa woke up.
ANNE: You okay?
TERESA: What? Yeah, I'm fine.
ANNE: Look, we all know this is a boring one, but that doesn't mean you get to sleep on the job. If I gotta stay awake for St. Jennifer, so do you.
TERESA: Okay. You got it.

EVE'S APARTMENT
There was a knock on the door. Paige opened it to reveal Mary Beth.
MARY BETH: Hey.
PAIGE: Hey.
MARY BETH: So, you said you wanted to talk.
PAIGE: Why did you do it, Mary Beth?
MARY BETH: What are you talking about?
PAIGE: Why did you help set up J.J.?
