Seems like there are only a handful of professions in Salem. Doctors and nurses, lawyer, policeman, reporter, restaurateur, hooker. Shouldn't there be others?
I would have loved to see Sonny follow in his father's footsteps, maybe start out as a paralegal. Running a bar-restaurant doesn't suit him.
I think there should also be some teachers in Salem. I always thought Jack would have been a good professor.
Nicole should be a realtor.
Jordan should sell insurance.
Adrienne should work in a bakery.
What other professions are missing and who do you think should fill the jobs?

But really....you could have someone running a non-profit, maybe connected to the hospital or health care--good opportunity for galas, etc. Someone who works in fashion (and really works) could be handy. A private detective, for when the Salem PD is...acting like the Salem PD. Maybe an artist or musician of some kind? Or a TV show host? Social worker?
Now my head's just spinning over the possibilities....
Can I volunteer to be a history teacher at Salem High?

Currently the doctors, lawyers and cops are the only ones that are ever shown attempting to work. I forgot that Ben and Sonny occasionally serve a drink. |

Can I volunteer to be a history teacher at Salem High? Would that be type casting? LOL. How about someone who works in a department store or like you said fashion. A fashion designer would be cool. And someone like Gabi could have been the "fit" model. Oooh oooh, how about a day care center worker? That's where all the kids could be, instead of burdening an 80 year old woman who still works full time. |

We do have some domestic help in Mary, Harold and Henderson. I am sure they are all set for life because they know where the bodies are buried -- literally.

TV Show host - Didn't Jennifer host a show back when she and Jack were married and he had the Spectator? Artist / Musician - Back in the day they had singers at Goldie's / Wings - Eve Donavan and Liz Chandler were singers and Liz was also a former clothing designer Social Worker - Frankie Brady worked as a Teen Crisis Hotline |

Ooooh...what about a jeweler? That could be fun.... A chef? An interior designer? (Of course....with those sets, there's only so much you could do...) A pilot? An art gallery owner? Bookstore owner? Magazine editor? Any one of these would add a little extra interest, IMO. And, yes, Kpatch, that WOULD be typecasting...but is that so bad???  |

I'd definitely like to see a psychic back in Salem. They could very easily work this into the storylines and the Salem PD could certainly use the help.
I'd love to see more focus placed on singers/musicians. Perhaps JJ could get a job playing at Club TBD with Eve?

Me too... she needs to come visit her grandson. Theo doesn't need Stefano to be his only grandparent in town since Abe doesn't have that much to do with him (and Stefano isn't in town all the time). |
