Did they ever say who it was? There are so many missing fathers in Salem. Do you think it would be worthwhile for the writers to explore this or would it just give Daniel more air time and something else for Maggie to cry about?

They have pretty much inserted Daniel into every storyline and explored just about every angle for a break up with Jennifer. I wonder if the writers will soon run out of ideas for him and decide to go there.

I want to know! I guess the father could actually be the man who raised Daniel since they were using Maggie's unfertilized eggs. Could be anyone. I hope it's not Victor. I don't want to see Victor put Daniel any higher on a pedestal than he already does, I don't want to see Daniel elevated above Victor's other offspring (Bo, Philip, Brady, Isabella). But yes, I'm curious.

Imagine if Stefano actually were Daniel's father then Daniel he would be a DiMera which means that Daniel and EJ would be half-brothers and Daniel and Chad would be half-brothers as well which means Chad and Melanie committed incest because Melanie she would be Chad's niece especially if Chad and Daniel were half-brothers and Daniel he would also be Kristen's half-brother too

But Daniel being a DiMera wouldn't actually be a bad thing

Imagine if Stefano was Daniel's father, Stefano and Maggie sharing a son together imagine that

But the father who raised him as his father that doesn't give Daniel much of a storyline whereas if any other man from Salem's past or present were his father then it would give him even more of a familial link to the show's history which would make him even more of a legacy around here

Does Daniel really need any additional connections in Salem. He's involved in so many storylines as it is.

Yes you have a point but by further tying him to the canvas it actually ensures character longevity and continuity

I guarantee if Victor end up being Daniel's father we will never hear the name Philip again.

Agreed! Everyone in this town already worships Daniel: JJ, Jennifer, Nicole, Eric, and lastly Maggie.. He's just not interesting to watch onscreen. And Jennifer and Daniel's argument today.. Ugh.

But I can see them exploring just who his father is especially if they decide to do that but imagine if Victor were to turn out to be Daniel's father Daniel being a Kiriakis imagine that

Daniel is almost a Kiriakis already. Maggie Kiriakis is his mother. Victor is his godfather. And I just thought of a reaason why he can never be Victor's son. That would mean Philip was married to his niece and that would be icky. I believe the show understands that.

But Maggie was involved with other men in her past perhaps Don Craig or even Neil Curtis could be Daniel's father

Daniel was an egg baby, no human contact, so it probably has nothing to do with anyone Maggie was involved with.
