This is the sequel to Stolen Moments. Hope you enjoy it!Chapter 1
Craig carried Chloe into the house, up the staircase and into one of the bedrooms. He gently placed her on the bed as Philip watched him cover Chloe with a blanket.
Craig nudged Philip, gesturing for the two of them to leave the room, but Philip’s eyes never left Chloe.
“One of us should be here when she wakes up,” Philip whispered, so not to disturb Chloe. “She’ll probably be disoriented.”
“You a doctor now?” Craig was being his usual sarcastic self. “Look, I concur, but I checked her pupils and, in layman’s terms, she’s still out cold. We’ll look in on her every 15 minutes. Does that make you feel better?”
Philip nodded and he turned around and left the room. Craig closed the door partway and led the way back downstairs. “Good thing the house was vacant,” Craig said.
“I didn’t even realize you still owned property in Salem,” Philip said.
“When we moved to New York, the real estate market was soft. I’d have lost money on the sale of this house,” Craig explained, “so I decided to hold onto it and sublease it to the University. We’ve had a fairly constant stream of med students using the house as a dorm.”
“Shrewd business move,” Philip acknowledged. He looked upward toward the top of the staircase. “I want to go visit Parker, but not until after Chloe wakes up.” He looked at his watch.
“I’ll bet if I took your blood pressure right now, you’d be in the hypertensive category.”
“I can’t relax knowing what she’s been through. This is just so surreal, Craig. Being here in this house, Chloe sleeping in her old bedroom, her condition unknown. God, she underwent shock treatments for no reason,” he said running his hand through his hair. “No reason! Damn it! The thought of that makes me insane. I swear, if I didn’t care about Parker growing up knowing that his father is on death row for murdering Grandma, I’d kill Kate with my bare hands and I’d do it today.”
Craig put a hand on Philip’s shoulder from behind. “And you’d have help from me. Right now our priority has to be making sure that Chloe gets well. Philip?”
Philip turned to face Craig.
“Philip, you should go to the hospital, be with your son. I’ve got everything covered here.”
Philip looked toward the staircase again, then back at Craig. “You’re right. I’ll have my cell on. Promise you’ll call me if she wakes up.”
“I will.”
“I mean the second she wakes up. I’ll be here in five minutes.”
Craig chuckled. “It takes at least five minutes to walk to the hospital parking lot.”
“You’d be surprised what adrenaline can do. Well ... maybe you wouldn’t.”
“Daniel! Daniel help!” Chloe was screaming from upstairs. Craig and Philip raced back up the stairs and into her room. They both stopped short when they saw she was still sleeping. Craig approached Chloe and touched the pulse in her neck. He examined Chloe visually as he stroked her forehead.
He turned back to Philip and motioned for them to leave the room. In the hallway, Philip asked, “What was that? Was she having a nightmare?”
Craig laughed. “You mean just because she was calling Daniel’s name? Maybe it was a good dream.”
“Craig....”
“Sorry. It’s just too easy to get your goat. Yeah, I’d say she was having a dream. She’s probably starting to come out of the anesthetic. When a surgery isn’t performed, anesthesia tends to take longer to wear off, it doesn’t metabolize as quickly.”
“I don’t think I should leave,” Philip said, looking at the door to Chloe’s room.
“Yes you should. Go. I’m going to sit with Chloe until she wakes up. You go sit with Parker. When you get back, you can take the next shift with Chloe. Okay?”

Whatever dream Chloe is having right now I am sure it can't be good especially when it comes to Daniel or perhaps if Chloe is coming out of the state she's been in or been through, when she wakes up though is anyone's guess and when she does wake up who knows what kind of state Chloe will be in? Or if she will even remember anything or anyone considering the ECT she went through at The Oaks but the safe house Philip and Craig take her too is Chloe's old house that she, Craig, and Nancy all used to live in when they were in Salem, that makes sense
I wonder if Nancy will show up eventually more or less just asking because I am sure Nancy would want to be here for Chloe and if Nancy was to know what was going on I am sure she would be here just like how Craig is or has been? Or how about Chloe's little sister Craig & Nancy's other daughter Joy Wesley? I wonder if she will show up as well? I wonder how old Joy will be in your story if she even shows up that is?
But either way Philip is needed elsewhere right now, his son Parker needs him right now but Parker I am sure has a whole slew of family members at the hospital checking in on him like his Grandpa Victor and his step-grandmother Maggie, his Uncle Lucas, his cousins Will, Allie, his cousins Sonny, Justin, Brady, and Ciara are all there or they all have been at some point or another and hell even Daniel as much as I can't stand Daniel, he loves Parker too so
But the main thing here, the thing that matters most here is Chloe and whether or not she ends up the same or if she gets her memory back but I have a feeling Chloe will regain her memories especially if her and Philip do spend time together more especially in this safe house but I wonder if Chloe will have more visitors coming in?

But you are right also in the sense that the only one besides Chloe who is suffering in all of this is Parker because Parker he doesn't have his mother right now but Parker he is a fighter, he is a Kiriakis so he has every bit of his father and his grandfather in him but he also has his mother Chloe's fighting spirit as well but I wonder if Parker has any brain damage? Or what kind of side effects will Parker have as a result of what happened to him at the playground?

I'm glad Craig still owns the house. It is a fitting place for Chloe to be. I hope she will be able to recover from the ordeal at The Oaks.

I am sure in kpatch's trusty hands Chloe will be fine............eventually! Yes I sure hope so too but then again Chloe she experienced ECT, she had shock treatments regularly so who knows what her brain activity is like now? Or who even knows if she will even remember anything any time soon or ever for that matter?

Good call on Craig sending Philip to be with Parker. Chloe still recognized Craig and is comfortable with him....not so much with Philip. He can do more good with Parker right now.

Chapter 2
Philip was surprised to find Daniel in Parker’s room when he arrived at the hospital. Parker remained attached to tubes and he slept most of the time, but his color was returning, the bruises receding and he was starting to look more like himself.
Philip smiled when he saw his little boy.
“Where’s Chloe?” Daniel’s question was hostile. Seemed like he already knew the answer and he was just testing Philip.
“What do you mean ‘where’s Chloe’? She’s at The Oaks,” Philip lied.
“No she’s not, and you know it,” Daniel accused. “I went to see her today and the place was crawling with police. Chloe wasn’t there, so I filed a missing persons report. But you know where she is, don’t you?”
Philip tried not to react. “I honestly don’t know what you’re talking about Daniel.”
Daniel took a step toward Philip and stood uncomfortably close. He spoke quietly. “I know you’re lying. You want to know how I know? I know because I just told you that Chloe’s missing. And if you didn’t already know where she was, you’d be freaking out.”
Philip took a step back to regain some personal space. “I’m here to see Parker. How’s he doing?”
Daniel glared at Philip for several minutes, seemingly in an effort to make him uncomfortable. Finally, he said, “Better. A lot better. Doctors are recommending a rehab facility once he’s well enough to leave the hospital.”
“Rehab?” Philip was stunned, especially after what Chloe had just been through in a rehab facility. “Rehab for what?”
“The doctors want to evaluate his speech, cognitive skills and motor skills, make sure they weren’t affected by the injury.”
“Can’t they do that here?”
Daniel shook his head no. “Not to the extent that a facility that specializes in children’s injuries can. They have occupational therapists that know how to work with children and ... what? Why do you keep shaking your head no?”
“I just don’t want Parker in a place like that.”
“A place like what?”
“Rehab. A retreat. A sanitarium. It’s just another hospital and I’m worn out.” No way was he letting his son live in a strange place, away from the people who love him. “They didn’t help Chloe and I’m not sure I trust them to take care of Parker.”
“The rehab I’m talking about isn’t The Oaks, Philip.”
“I don’t care,” Philip maintained. “When he’s well enough, he’s coming home. We’ll hire an occupational therapist for him. I don’t want him out of my sight. End of discussion.”

I am glad that Phillip put his foot down. They can hire the best therapists in the world and right now Parker needs to be around people who love him!!

"It's not The Oaks"?!?!?!? So Daniel knew Chloe wasn't getting better but just ignored it?? That's an interesting observation, but I think Daniel was just reacting to Philip's comments about The Oaks.

Did Daniel actually expect Philip to tell him where Chloe is?! Daniel was of no help when Chloe was getting worse at the Oaks.
I'm glad Parker is getting better. Philip is right that Parker needs to be with his family not in a facility.
