Time to bring back Melanie Jonas (Read 295 times)

Just thinking if Nick is dead and doesn't come back from the dead like so many other killed off characters with a plot twist maybe it's time for Melanie to return to Salem. Gabi will be gone soon too and DOOL is nearing it's 50th anniversary next year !!!! Of course Belle, Shawn, Philip, Stephanie, and Chelsea should return too, but Melanie was frightened of Nick and after what Gabi and Nick did to her and the fact that she was kidnapped by Andrew under Gabi's actions, she probably didn't want to return to Salem......What about now? What do you think?

I am a fan of Molly Burnette, I liked Melanie when she was villainess, but was not a fan when they made her the romantice heroine. I was sad to see her go, but I honestly have not missed her. Plus bringing her back would mean more screen time for Daniel, and I personally don't think I can stomach that.

Plus Melanie she has her dad Daniel here in town, her little brother Parker and her Grandma Maggie is also here in town as well

Hell even if you could re-cast the role of Melanie, then would you welcome her back

I don't think I could accept a Melanie recast. Molly Burnett really made Melanie her own, from her facial expressions to the mannerisms that drove people crazy.

Kind of like Jay playing Philip, Eric playing Brady and Chandler playing Will. NuWill has had a very tough time reprising the role of Will and the chemistry just isn't there like it was with Chandler. These people have taken a role and created the character...made them an extension of themselves and it shows. kinda of like Sami & Stefano. I don't think those two could ever be a successful recast either and I don't think that any new people in these roles will have the fan base for the actor behind the character that these people do/did.

But with Melanie back in town she could be a love interest for Ben or hell they could pair her up with Brady or even Rafe or Eric
